CHARACTERS
FEMALES
Spottedleaf
About: Spottedleaf was ThunderClan's beautiful medicine cat before her untimely death at the beginning of the series. Even though she's no longer alive, she still plays an important role in the series as ThunderClan's guardian and a messenger of StarClan. She is extremely caring and wise, always putting others before herself. She appears in dreams and offers pieces of advice when a cat is in need of guidance.
Voice: Spottedleaf died when she was rather young, so I'm looking for a voice range of 16-22 years old. Medium-medium high. Soft, sweet, full of emotion.
LINES
Line 1: [affectionately] I loved him as well as any cat. Maybe even more than I should have done, as a medicine cat. If StarClan had not chosen me to walk their path, things might have been different. *pause* I never had kits of my own, Leafpaw, but I cannot say how happy it makes me that Firestar's daughter will be following the path of a medicine cat. I know that StarClan has great things in store for you.
Line 2: [gently] StarClan does not control the wind or the rain, do they? They do not command the sun to rise or the moon to wax and wane. Do not fear, little one. From now on, wherever you walk, I will walk with you. . . .
Silverstream
About: Silverstream was a warrior of RiverClan who died giving birth to her kittens in the first series. She is also a messenger of StarClan and appears in dreams with prophecies and advice. She was a rebellious, clever young cat back when she was alive, fully confident in herself and a bit haughty and spoiled. It seems that she finally learned her lesson when a forbidden relationship with a warrior from a rival Clan resulted in her death.
Voice: Silverstream also died fairly young. Her voice range should be about 16-20 years old. Medium-low to medium-high.
LINES
Line 1: Dearest Stormfur, I am so proud of you and Feathertail. You have come through great trials and proved your courage and faith, time and again. You have obeyed StarClan in everything, and we are well pleased with you.
Line 2: Yet the cats of the Tribe have courage and faith too, even though they follow different warrior ancestors. You should honor them and the Tribe of Endless Hunting.
Whitepaw
About: Whitepaw is a young, spunky, honest and hard-working apprentice of ThunderClan. Her parents disappeared in Moonrise.
Voice: Whitepaw is a child. Voice range should be about 10-14 years old. Medium high to high. A lot of auditions I've heard make her sound kind of whiny. I don't want whiny. She's a very serious and determined young one.
LINES
Line 1: [pleading] I want to be excused from training. I want to look for Cloudtail and Brightheart.
Line 2: Please. I'm only an apprentice. The Clan can do without me. I've got to find them.
Dappletail
About: Dappletail is an elder of ThunderClan. She unfortunately dies in this book.
Voice: She is quite old. Voice range should be 50-60 years old. Feel free to go overboard with this one. ("Sonny boy, get off mah lawn!")
LINES
Line 1: What? I've never heard such nonsense! WindClan has a bit of trouble, so ThunderClan can't eat rabbits? Barkface might have been lying, just to weaken ThunderClan. They've always been a proud, deceitful Clan. Have you thought of that?
Line 2: [accusing] Do you call yourself a leader? The whole Clan will starve, and it will be your fault.
Mistyfoot
About: Mistyfoot is the deputy of RiverClan. She's very calm, collected, and rarely panics or gets flustered in a sticky situation.
Voice: Mistyfoot should have a mature and authoritative voice. Around 20-30 years old voice range.
LINES
Line 1: [urgently] Reedpaw fell in the river. We need Mudfur. Can you fetch him? Quickly!
Line 2: [worriedly] He must have fallen. The apprentices are always playing too close to the river. It looks as if the branch hit him.
MALES (or MALE rather)
Tallstar
About: Tallstar is the leader of WindClan. He's the oldest out of all four leaders, and the most experienced. He's a proud and stubborn leader, but knows the best for his Clan.
Voice: Tallstar is elderly, nearing the end of his time. His voice range should be around 50-60.
LINES
Line 1: [subtle threat] Well? Why have you come? Do you think we're so weak that you can drive us out as Brokenstar did?
Line 2: [bitterly, after being accused of stealing prey] And is it the will of StarClan for my Clan to starve? Yesterday one of our elders died, and he will be the first of many if we don't do something.
Line 3: [sorrowfully] An answer? Firestar, I don't think that even you can find an answer to our troubles. Unless you let us hunt on your territory. [hestitates, taking back what he just said] No, you are right to keep your own prey. The warrior code demands that you feed your own Clan first. WindClan does not look to you for help.
