Jam jar moments

In this thread you can write about very happy, unforgettable, irreplaceable moments. Moments which you want to capture and put into a jam jar so everytime you pass by you can look at it smiling proudly.

I’m going to start since I had some of these moments, too.

Some friends and I were on vacation in Croatia. We reached a big green field cycling at night. One of us turned on some music since he had portable loud speakers with him and as we laid down on the gras we saw one of the most beautiful things you could ever imagine. The sky, FULL of stars! Like in a fairytale and as if that weren't enough there were SHOOTING STARS. SO MANY OF THEM, not only one or two. And everytime we noticed a star falling we were argueing about who saw this although we knew that all of us saw that. xD I will never forget this.

I hope all of you had a moment where you thought your heart would explode, because it was overflooded with so many happy emotions blah, blah, blah… xD

Your amazing jam jar moment reminds me of mine. Before I say the jam jar moment, I'll explain my situation so it's better understood.

I remember when I had moved to where I live now during the 8th grade. I was confused, small, in a predominately white school while I'm Latina, and really lonely. Time passed and I found friends that took my weirdness and everything about me as if I had been their own childhood friend all along. On the last days of our school year, the school was having a party. Mostly everyone was outside, taking pictures and chatting, complimented by the school party food around. There were pop songs playing in the background, some people dancing. It was getting near the end of the school day, so my friends and I gathered together. We goofed around and took a final picture close together with a bunch of silly faces. It was then I realized how glad I was to have fit in when I lost confidence, and so this is my jam jar moment.

I had another jam jar moment. xD
Some friends visited me to cook curry together. We also baked chocolate muffins, it was so much fun!
When everything was done we carried the food to the balcony and we ate while watching the sunset. It was amazing!

I'd put my second "1st kiss" in a jam jar.

I sorta felt pressured to have my first kiss because I was almost 17 at the time and I felt like I was too inexperienced for my age. There was a guy that I was going out with at the time so during a movie date, I just sorta leaned in and went for it... AND IT WAS HORRIBLE! He bit me, was awkward with his hands, there was WAY too much slobber... nothing was right. I was horrified.

About a week later, I found myself relaying the story to my best friend at the time. We were in the basement of his house watching videos and I was spilling my heart out. He listened quietly until I finished and then his face took on a very strange expression. I thought he was going to chastise me for throwing away my special first kiss, but when the trance broke, he wordlessly took my face into his hands and treated me to the sweetest kiss I'd ever known. All these years later, I can still remember how natural and how easy it felt... the way my heart raced. When he pulled away, he smiled sweetly and asked, "So... how was your first kiss?"

it ended up AALLLL over the kitchen!
and since I have cooking experience, we were able to salvage enough for a tray of jelly beans ^^

hmmm, my jam jar moment...

I was in the choir room listening to the teachers talk. He asked for everyone to sing a song and when it was my turn, I sang, and suddenly everyone started clapping! (They didn't clap for the other people...) And I just felt like I should be crying right then. I was touched~ <3
