Hey! Yeah, until I get better, to the point people actually reply to these... I expect these to come out pretty quick, like, three days after the last one fast.

More of my childhood here, Yu Yu Hakusho is a classic, as is Dragon Ball. Here you have it.

    Smile Bomb

    Yeah! Break! Care! Break!

As usual, both songs are owned by their respective owners, as are the backtracks. I own nothing, but my voice.

I would appreciate some feedback... thank you.

    Feedback a go go!

    Smile Bomb:
-You were off key most of the time. Maybe you could try and lower it an octave and sing it in your natural voice? (though I think part of the problem is that Smile Bomb is by a female singer, so it's MUCH harder for you to hear the melody.)

    Yeah! Break! Care! Break!:
    - You picked a MUCH harder song this time than "Dragon Soul" to do, so props to you for attempting this one. I don't think I would have had the patience to try it. ^^;
    - Your rhythm was off in a few spots, but for the most part it was okay.
    - As with "Dragon Soul," you had trouble staying on pitch, but I've noticed that the DBZ Kai songs tend to be very tenor-y. Your voice strikes me as more of a baritone.

Here's my advice on both your pieces: instead of trying to sing falsetto or like the original singer, when the song gets too high for you, why not try singing it an octave lower? I know it sounds weird, but in the same way not every girl can be an alto (which is the problem I tend to encounter with a TON of anime songs,) not every guy can be a tenor.

Hope that helps. Best of luck with your future song projects!

Would it help if I found you a male cover of Smile Bomb to practice with instead? ^^; Dragon Soul and Yeah! Break! Care! Break! both have male singers, but Smile Bomb is difficult for guys to sing since it has a female singer, both in Japanese and English. I'm having the same problem with Byakuya True Light from DN Angel.

    Thank you for more feedback!

I believe I need to study... I am not knowledgeable in musical, or vocal terms... I think your advise will mean more once I figure out what "octave" means... I've heard the voice before, but I don't know what it means... but I still thank you! It sounds like very good advise. I never thought of looking for a male version of Smile Bomb, though it totally makes sense to look for one.

Good luck with Byakuya True Light! Any song Vic Mignogna deems worthy enough that he translates and sings is a good one.

Well, to put it very simply, there are 8 'octaves- (Eight is the usual number, especially for the piano). An 'octave' is really just the set of notes from one particular note to another. If you imagine the last 8 keys on the piano, take that as the 'first' octave. Then, you do the next eight following it that one. You're moving down one entire octave (Piano octaves are typically 8 keys, unless you have a different kind of piano). The advice that have been given to you are telling you to sing at an octave lower. You seem to sing in a head-voice that's forced from the throat (you should really be singing from the chest, anyhow), but if you sing at an octave lower, you will most likely sing in your 'speaking range'. It'll be more comfortable than trying to match your voice with the actual notes of the song.
This is a signatures. Nothing suspicious about it. There's nothing to see here.

Mmm, I see. Thank you for explaining that, really, it makes sense... That's what I'll try next time-- singing from my chest.

*nods* It's all about trial and error. Based on the three songs I've heard you sing, I think you're straining yourself a little too much by singing so high, so singing in your chest voice is a good move to make.
