I loved it. The only crit I could giveis that I hear, "This is for you, Skye". Instead of, "This is for you, Scar."

Totally delayed, but I just realized I really needed to comment on this XD
I loved being a part of this project - definitely brought back a lot of great memories, and I think it was a great tribute to the original movie even while straying into some new territory. I think the edits were well placed and the new atmosphere was true to the original, but a pleasantly more mature take. I *loved* your music choices in particular - I've been very picky with music replacements in the past, but I think these were really spot on for the atmosphere you were trying to convey. I recognized at least one Blood Diamond piece in there (happiness!), but out of curiosity, what was the other one you used during Kiara and Kovu's reunion?
Voicing wise, this was definitely one of those wonderful dubs where at times I had to go back and listen and really confirm that you didn't have random clips of the original actors mixed throughout. I think it was a good combination of performances that remind you of the original, but again have enough of a unique flair to it that it gives a fresh take on the movie. Ronin, you, Ckat, and Darkwolf's Simba really blew me away as the huge standouts in this project - both in terms of voicing and especially acting. The supporting cast was pretty strong as well, though I think there were occasional lines here and there I would have liked to hear a little differently. Honestly nothing drastic to complain about though - that's really just getting into nitpicking.
Overall, this project turned out beautifully and is really something to be proud of on all counts. Great work everyone and thank you for letting me be a part of it! ^^
The score that replaced "Love Will Find A Way" was also from Blood Diamond. In fact, all of the added songs (besides the miniscule parts that I composed myself) were from that movie. Originally, I wanted to mix things up more, but the Blood Diamond pieces just worked so well. Even the timing cues were amazing, with only slight editing required. And of course, the edgy drama of James Newton Howard's score mixed with the African flair created the exact mood I was looking for, so why not?I'm usually not the biggest fan of James Newtown Howard's scores, but I did really like his work on Blood Diamond.
You did a fantastic job as Vitani, of course. She goes through that transition from baddie to goodie very quickly and you made it believable. Your acting in particular really stood out as very impressive, and really showcased your versatility. I do believe you're my wife's favorite in this fandub (and she's a hard critic, believe me!)![]()
Haha, I know *Exactly* what you mean about the time cues - JNH has really worked well in that realm for me in the past with other projects, so I can definitely relate. Now I clearly have to listen to the rest of that score (the last piece was the only one I'm familiar with at the moment).
Tell your wife she is so sweet - I really appreciate it. And, again I had so much fun on this. I was very happy to be a part of it at all <3
Well, that was just down right perfect on every facet imaginable. Top-notch voice acting, some of the best mixing I've heard, captivating story-telling choices, this is the definition of quality work.
One more bump, methinks.
