How to remove Anoying Background Noise With Audacity-

First Open Audacity with your fandub.

Second- Click Effects And Click Noise Removal

THird- Click Noise Profile

Fourth- Do the second step again.

Fifth- Then On the bottom to change setting. Drag All the way to less.

Umm....(post if I need help? Ok then!) When I record from my desktop and try this I have some weird "pixel-ated" type noise, where as when I record from my dads laptop It's nearly completely clear (but the sound fades in and out for some reason) While I enjoy the clearness of the audio that I get from the laptop I would really like to get that same kind of clearness from my desktop (cause I can't always record from the laptop since it stays in the living room)

Yeeeaaaah, Audacity will do that. It's not the best program to use for noise removal.

There's actually one more step involved for this program-- you'll need to select an area where you're not speaking for the noise profile. It should contain all the background noises going on in your recordings because that's what it's aiming to reduce. Of course, Audacity doesn't have the highest quality so you'll end up with some muddiness, but it's something you have to live with if you're relying on noise reduction alone to solve your problems (as opposed to the mic itself, adapting your surroundings, etc.)
