Shadowken you may not have confidence now, but dude you gotta at least pretend you do. If you don't, then your voice acting will falter. Meaning you won't get good feedback(won't succeed) meaning EVEN LESS confidence. And it spirals from there. So...I'm sure you'll do fine ^^ we should all be friends here that's what this is for. No matter who wins just cheer them on. Anyway good luck to everyone who does partake in this competition. I know I am probably going to.
Makes since to me. I am passionate when it comes to voice over work to the point where i spend most of my days reading up on it or working on it. But in my time of doing this it seems all the money I've invested in equipment, all the time i spend, and all the things I've tried out for all become failed attempts get's me down its hard to lift the confidence when so much has failed over time...(How's that for a monologue)? too short.

It's fine, it happens to everyone! Some people are just luckier than others and it takes longer for certain people to really get a handle or whatever the case may be.v But if you've already invested all of this time and money into it and you feel like it's just amounted to failure, then erase that thought from your brain. Something will eventually work, trust me. I believe that...pretty much ANYONE can be a voice actor. I mean learning how to act is basically learning how...to act XD I mean it's in our nature as human beings. You'll get there

Dude not everyone is boosting with confidence, hell I went thru the same thing you did when I first got started, you just got to get over it, cause being like this, this contest, and even the pro industry would just crush you.

I've been voice acting for 4 years. When I started out I auditioned for a bout 5-7 projects every day no exaggeration. I JUST NOW had my first professional audition ever. So yeah...it's a work in progress, just work at it.

Can somebody do me a favor and tell me what the submission deadline is?

After the hurricane, I have no internet access at my house, and the web page won't load fully on my phone, so I can't get all of the details. I can still potentially record for this, I'll just have to go somewhere else to get internet and submit my audition. I just don't know how much time there is.

Thanks, guys. Fortunately I've been working on an original series for the last year, so I'm not too worried about the original content part, as I at least have plenty or original dialogue. I just have to pick a good scene from my scripts and go nuts. Now I just hope my internet comes back soon!
