Ohana Matsumae, a 16-year-old teenager living in Tokyo, who is left in the care of her estranged grandmother, following her mother's elopement with her boyfriend. Ohana arrives at her grandmother's country estate to realize she is the owner of a Taishō period hot spring inn called Kissuisō. She begins working at Kissuisō, at her grandmother's request, but finds herself at odds with many employees and customers at the inn. Initially feeling discouraged, she decides to use her circumstances as an opportunity to change herself for the better and to make amends with her deteriorating relationship with the Kissuisō's staff for a more prominent future.

YamashitaAyumuchan - Where did you come from?! The moment I heard your audition it was like "OAO" all over my face! You have such a naturally crisp and clear voice, and your delivery matched the video so perfectly--it especially shone when your face was being squished by your uncle. Excellent, solid "debut" as Ohana!!! Don't change a thing, it was PERFECT!!!

Chell - You were so cute! Your sweet, shy voice comes off as so natural, especially when Chell was desperately trying to hold Minko back. Great work!

Fairuza - I knew I could count on you to play this role swimmingly! You sounded mature without being all crackly, and you had just the right amount of bitter edginess when laying down the law on Ohana. Brilliant job!

Bal - Just the right amount of energy and youthfulness to Enishi's introduction! You matched the visuals perfectly, and set an excellent tone for the character. This is my first time I've ever heard you (or of you!) and I like what I heard/saw!

EileMonty - You have such a charismatic voice! I'm so glad you chose to audition for this! You make Tomoe entertaining and absolutely zany! You were a show-stopper throughout the entire clip!

Mippa - To be honest, I wasn't sure if I could do this character justice. Ugh, it's so obvious that my old microphone was used for this clip. ;_; Well, not so much at the beginning, but that very last line was awfully muffled. I promise the next clip will be better!

Sukisho: Just when I thought your mixing had no way to get better - this video was one of the most professional pieces I've seen you do! I was really worried about the scripting meshing well with the lines, so if anything was off, I certainly wouldn't know because you just made everything so smooth!!! I don't know how you do it!!

Great job everyone! I'm so proud of this clip, you should be too!

Sukisho always mixes well but I have to say that this was one of the tops, simply because it blended very nicely, even between everyone's microphones and recording conditions.

Since I don't travel these forums anymore I'm not familiar with many AVAs these days. I was like, hmmm, Yamashita...who is this? Then when I heard her, WOW. She fit the character so perfectly. The higher pitch in the beginning reminded me of Jessica Boone... but there was so much more dimension. YamashitaAyumuchan, you did a wonderful job with the character.

EileMonty as Tomoe was very entertaining as well! Spot on.

I think the whole clip and all the characters were done really well!

This was really, really pretty. I agree with mippa, your mixing was SO good in this, James! It sounded less compressed and more crisp, so really well done!
