Hello everyone! I'm very pleased to present clips from this ongoing project. Thank you to my cast for being so wonderful! <3 Qin's Moon is such a beautiful show that doesn't get much exposure outside of China, so I hope that you all enjoy. (:

Synopsis:
Qin’s Moon is a Chinese animation series depicting around the era the Qin Dynasty is established. The story follows a young boy named Tianming, the heir of the famous swordsman who attempted to assassinate the Emperor of Qin. He meets a man named Ge Nie, and along his journey he also meets many allies and enemies who fight for their own faith and beliefs.

This was quality. Nothing for me to really critique, very well done and seamless. Keep it up; I look forward to future clips.

Good stuff Damaru! From a mixing standpoint everything seemed well balanced and in place, although I was confused as to why the broken blade didn't make a sound as it hit the ground but the Ge Nie's body did. As far as performances go I don't have many complaints. AxerJ did sound a bit forced which is strange because he usually fits these roles like a glove and AyaseSakura's acting was a bit wooden at times but that was probably due to focusing on the depth of the voice and can be fixed with practice. Also to get really nitpicky (but not much of an issue just something to work on) Anath's pronunciation of 'changed' sounds more like 'cheenged'. Other than that I have no complaints and this was very entertaining to watch and listen too. Look forward to more!

In response to the lack of sound effect before Ge Nie fell, that was intentional. In the original scene I suppose they made that part silent to make it seem like a bated-breath, dramatic moment, but I guess I failed to make it appear so. XDD

XD well that's the feel I thought you were going for but I felt that it should have lacked sfx for Ge Nie falling as well.

Indeed, I guess I was trying to follow the original's choices where they muted the sword falling but not Ge Nie hitting the ground. But then again in the original they took out sound in the beginning when the sword fell too so ehhh. \_o.O_/

Aw, Damaru You've changed your icon to Rong XD

Wasn't sure if I should comment on here on YouTube, but I guess more of the VA's will see here.

As far as the mixing goes, I think everyone sounds great with the effect you on the voices. Though Ge Nie's first monologue sounded a bit higher in volume, especially preceding Tianming's "All right, Uncle!" Other than that the mixing is great The sound quality is superb.

At first the male voices bothered me a bit because, um...they were a bit too deep (even Tianming!) XD But no, really, everyone sounds amazing, and I liked The Pawt's growly low laugh. Anath sound stoic and wise, and hyperknees--though I initially thought he was a tad too deep--sounds great. Simbaga sounds great as Tianming, and I can't wait until we get to the happier scenes so we can see how annoying she can make him hehee XD

Mippa's gasp at the beginning was spot-on, and it's a shame she doesn't have any more lines. Damaru, your voice is pleasant and sweet for young Rong, and AyaseSakura is lovely and mature, but my only complaint is that she comes off a bit breathy at the end of her lines.

I can totally watch the whole series with these voices XD Beats funky subs. Haha.

Can't wait until the rest comes in! Woo!

Seems you have some noise in your lines damaru, I might check in later to see if that can be taken care of. But no matter your performance was great.

Anath you were excellent in your role, your voice and inflections really bring on the intensity of this clip. Very very nice~

Pawt you were simply fantastic in your role, honestly no complaints at all~ (Oh and offtopic but expect another clip your in to come out soon haha).

Axer and Mippa had like...one line each lawl you guys did well though.

Ayase - OH AN OLD WOMAN VOICE GLORIOUS DAYS. Seriously kudos to you because that is so rare to find on the AVA world. There are little things in your pronunciation (mainly a few "th" words) that seem to get slurred together at times (guilty as charged myself). But overall I thought the tone was great~

And of course you did well Simbaga (not sure why I'm complimenting on you last). But yes another well done clip~

Hrrrrnnnnnghhhhh, too much skillz going on in here, you guys. <3 I had such a great time watching this—not one voice sounded out of place to me, and the mixing was seamless. It’s really hard to pick favorites considering how much I enjoyed everyone’s performances in this, but I have to give special props to AnathJackson and The Pawt for totally catching me off guard. I haven’t heard much from either one of you before now, but both of you seriously impressed me with your rich low tones and your sharp, clean deliveries. Damaru’s performance was also a major highlight—that gorgeous voice is one of my favorites on the boards for a reason. 8’D

Can’t wait to hear more of these—fantastic job, everybody! 8D
