It's been... well christ it's been almost a year since I put out my last demo. Figured I was overdue. I'm especially proud of this one. It's definitely my most diverse yet, showing off more of my range than some people seem to be aware of. (Yes, I just ended a sentence with a preposition like a boss)

Special thanks to fairuza for providing the slate at the beginning.

quite impressive stuff Dan, you were really all over the place, was very amusing to listen to.
I did chuckle at Ponyland...and what to me sounded like a Strongbad Impersonation, whether it was intentional or not.

    Good show, good show.

OK, Convito, I went ahead and listend thoroughly and here's my thoughts: Overall I like it. I think some voices are a little bit too close in the way they're delivered and that the demo could benefit from placing some more high intensity/energenic voices with some of the more even keel voices to mix it up and keep the listener on edge... but that's just minor nitpicks for the sake of honesty. Overall it's pleasing to my ears. I'm not an expert on demo reels by any means, but I will do my best to offer honest and constructive feedback. Here's my first thoughts on each voice...

    Fairuza's intro sounds niiiiice.

Voice 1 - Makes a great original cartoony voice. I can hear the possible Aflac influence form those auditions in this new voice.

Voice 2 - A nice sounding deep voice which I like on the surface, but I think more of an emotional range demonstration could make it even better.

Voice 3 - This voice might work for a hero or soldier type. Which I'm guessing by the "104 Marine drive" is what you had in mind.

Voice 4 - The effects set it apart from other voices but I'm use to working with effects and hearing the voice beneath them. I think it probably got penalized for having been placed back to back with the previous voice since to me, outside of the effects it sounds like a very similar type of voice only delivered in the style of a villian. Because they were back to back, the similarities are more noticable. Overall the voice might fit a villain well.

Voice 5 - love the energy. Works for a cartoon character.

Voice 6 - I like the demonastration of emotional range in this one, and it also has a great deep voice. I wasn't buying the opening but when you picked it up with the energy 2nd part of the voice it works better as a whole. Great finish to the voice. Count me as a fan of this voice.

Voice 7 - This cartoon voice is way too close in tone to the first one (Voice 1). That being said, it's still a lot of fun.

Voice 8 - I like this one a lot. A voice fitting voice for a strong young male in an Anime, possibly around 18 years old or so. I think the voice is callibrated well.

Voice 9 - "Ooooooh, Come on Debra..." LOL This one made me laugh but in a good way. I can't help but think of a character that has a big beer gut and looks like Carl from Aqua Teen Hunger Force saying this with this voice. LOL

Voice 10 - Pony Land... Is this related to My Little Pony? I think there's an inside joke some where, LOL. This voice to me sounds like a more calculated sain version of the first voice. There is a lot of the same voice qualities in it. I actually prefer this voice to the previous 2 that have a similar type of pitch. This voice is more versitile for the types of cartoon characters you can apply it to.

Voice 11 - I'm very impressed with this one! This must be the deep sexy voice you were talking about on Facebook. It's deep and powerful plus the dialog is well dilivered in a convincing way tht projects the context of the characters emotion. A+ voice on this one, in my humble opinion. The only criticism I would have is that it sounds like the same voice as voice 2, just performed better. I think it would make an Excellent Hero or Leader voice.

Voice 12 - A bit over the top. It didn't feel right for the line that was being said since it didn't fit the context and convince me of the emotion in the words. It could use some more callibrating.

Voice 13 - "Please Step on the Platform" This reminded me of that character from Sponge Bob. It's a good voice. I liked the accent you did here, and I think the gruff tone works for an older male in his 40s-50s. It's obvious you were going for a cartoon Pirate character and I think you pulled it off.

Voice 14 - "Back in my day" This one seemed to set itself apart from your other voices. I imiagine it being good for a scientist/nerdy type. I think it's a good voice and does a big service to the overall range of the demo reel.

Voice 15 - Not exactly sure what you were going for here but I think the laugh should be viewed more on the playful side. I can see it for a fun villian who thinks he's all that but is in reality a bumbling goof to the point he's actually funny to everyone else. In the right scenerio it could work.

I'm not the most easily impressed and I can't say I'm spazzing out over the top with excitment, but still, I do like what I've heard. I think some voices are too similar but they aren't bad. In a few cases (like voice 2 and voice 11) it was good because you showed different emotional range in the voice. In the end I was highly impressed with a handful of the voices demonstrated.

The bottom line is I like your work ConVito. I think others will too. And really I think that's all that matters beyond any of the nitpicks and critiques. I enjoyed listening and I'm glad you were able to release the new demo. Outside of any few previous nitpicks mentioned, I think you did a good job.

PS: I'll also add that I think your voices are better executed than anything I've ever done.

Wow~! Sorry if you were expecting something a little more critical, but I was very impressed with your range here. The sillier voices were great fun to listen to. I would look forward to hearing work by you, so good luck!

Just took a quick listen, and I have to say, that was really fun! I will agree with Jazzy that some of them sound a little similar, but overall, it was great! Keep it up!
