Wig Styling Help?

So this year I'll be doing a cosplay from Highschool of the Dead--Rei Miyamoto. Been having a little conflict with her hair and hair color; because she's kinda brunette with a hit of orange? But beside that and tips for styling her short ponytail and sticking up hair?

I have my Rei wig styled but no outfit to go with it XD hahah. I've had it done for a little while now, to be honest.... >_>
What I used was a bit orange, to be honest, but at the time it was the best I could find.
I used a Le Tigre Long wig from Arda Wigs http://kingdom-arts.org/LeTigreLong.html
The color I used was 025, but now that they make this wig in other colors I would say go with 027, 015 or 1002F!
I think cut the bangs into the wig, and to make the antennas I used the left over wefts from when I cut the bangs. I wrapped the hair around copper wire and they 'hook' in, so I can use the wig for other characters. The wigs from Arda are nice and thick too, so it's easy to get that pony tail Rei has!

Bree! I was just looking into buy that same exact style too! >.< (Literally looking at Le Tigre when making this post) I didn't think about 027 but it looks pretty nice now that you mention it. I was going with the 1002F but it seems a little too dark.
When I make ponytails though hair always gets bunched up and looks blegh--I'd love to see a pic of your if you get a chance~

Since her pony tail isn't high, it's just a lil pulling back and tying elastic =DD right now it's unstyled for my Lily Evans cosplay next week, but after harry Potter I can restyle it and take a picture for you?
