[Edited Re-Read]
Alright so I legitimately sat down and watched and (more importantly) listened closely to the scene. It is still a very good clip, excellently mixed Ryusuke. I can't wait to see more of this! I regret sorely not auditioning when I had the chance when you were casting for this. That's enough ass kissing for now, lets get down to brass taxes.
Voices
Aussieroth as OmegaOptimusSupreme:
I'm surprised. Not surprised to see you in the role of Optimus, but to hear what I have. You are usually much more passionate in his lines, and these sounded like a basic narration read off the script. You were missing the grand nature that you've given Optimus before. This isn't narration as much as it's painting a heartbreaking picture of a tragedy that one regrets. I've heard you do it before, and have faith that you'll be able to make some fixes and bring us Optimus Prime (even if he may not be prime for a clip or two more).
Arvidius as Megatron:
This was a surprise choice in my opinion, and one I am not sure how to feel about yet. I have to say the voice was rather underwhelming. Cody puts it well to say you were lacking the hate necessary for the character. you had the energy in that yell, but it wasn't intimidating. On a personal level, I'm not sure of the voice itself either. I would think to have an overall bigger voice. Sticking with objective feedback; work on that delivery. You're playing the big bad "Lord Megatron." You should be putting the fear of god into people! I am interested in seeing another Megatron clip go up, and seeing what you produce there.
Ryusuke on voice modulation:
I think you went way overboard there. I fully understand what you did, don't get me wrong, but it may hurt more than help the scene. The effect was too dominating, and caused the actors to sound far too robotic. Tone back on the modulation and let the actor's natural voice come through a bit more. Personally, I think the effect should be as faint as it is able (well with certain exceptions: Soundwave and Shockwave spring to mind). Long story short, they sounded too robotic, and that is fairly distracting to those listening.
Mixing
Again, very impressed with the mixing. Maybe a bigger boom on Trypticon's entrance, but that's all that I noticed.

Ryusuke, you are quickly becoming one of my favorite producers/mixers. Fantastic work.
Aussieroth and Arvidius - Now you both have the voices down there's no question in that but I felt the acting was a bit lacking in spots. David, your first line (Cybertron, our home) felt "robotic", and I don't mean from the effects, it just seemed to lack feeling. Also as a note to you both, I know you are mostly narrating in this clip but these are Transformers we are talking about, they need to be overacted especially in battle scenes with epic speeches. Normally yes it is best to avoid overacting but these are larger than life humanoid robots, not only is it forgiveable to play it up, it's downright necessary. Be mindful that I don't mean to do it during the whole scene but it would have helped particularly in the battle charge part of the scene. Arvidius, as I said you have the voice down, but I feel you are lacking that menacing/malicious quality that Megatron needs. The tone is higher than I would expect but it does fit but also remember Megatron is omega of bad guys, he needs to sound hateful. Overall I did enjoy your performances but I feel there is definitely some room for improvement.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll play around with the transformer effect in the next clip, too, so it doesn't dominate the actors' voices.
Next up's Starscream next week.

Thread bump.

Optimus was perfect.
Megatron not so perfect... I don't know what you were trying to do to his voice.... But you did the emotion in the voice right... Thats for sure!
Just being honest.
Nice work with the sound effects! Optimus sounds great, but Megatron sounds a little *too* G1 here. Great so far, though. Remind me to audition for more of your projects.
Wouldn't have it any other way. But, I'm glad you liked Optimus, though. I'm sure David would appreciate it.
...now that you mention it, you're right. o_O Maybe, that's the problem. The difference in portrayal. The Megatron in this game is portrayed as a big, intimidating warmonger, and this Megatron (like the G1 Megs [I don't know if he grabbed some elements to his performance or not) is like this conniving general.
And, sure, I'll let you know when I start up something new in the future.![]()
Again thanks for your feedback. We'll be making improvements in the next clips.

You are getting really good at mixing, Ryusuke. Keep it up! :3
Casting was brilliant. Lul'ed at the bloopers.
Thanks, Sakasa.![]()
I'm still waiting on redos. The 2nd and 3rd clip have been fully mixed. Once I got those redos, I can upload the clips.
