I just sort of mixed this on the spot (since I'm...well finished with the first two clips of One Piece and I'm still waiting on a couple people). I guess you can say this is a mini-project and it won't be my focus. I will be scouting people as I finish mixing a trailer. The cast will be based on Cydonia's, DarkKnightGrave's, and my own dream cast of Marvel vs Capcom 3 (and whoever else I find fitting to a character).

I loved Jake as the announcer! He sounded exactly like the official one, and Ryusuke was awesome as Iron Man-- you really surprised me! I can't wait for more. <3

Very nice!
LionelRGuy sounded a lot like the Japanese Zero. A tough, serious, no nonsense voice.


They was Aussieroth voiced Doom was a lot more like I imagined him sounding.
I love Aussieroths calm controlled Doom voice. The official game Doom seems to just yell everything he says.
Mentioning yelling, his defeat scream was very nice.

Murdog09, your announcer voice was done so well that it could be taken for the official voice. Good energy and appropriate delivery. Well done.

I hope to hear more of Ryusuke as Iron-man. This video didn't really display much of him.

Dear lord, words can not express how much I love it when people do these, and I've been waiting for ages for someone to do a fandub of something MvC3 related.

You guys did not disappoint. I'll try to critique, but I'm not sure it'll be completely objective, as I am embarrassingly giddy right now.

Murdog99: So deliciously corny. Loved it.

LionelRGuy: Great work. Tough, serious, dutiful type voice and some nice power behind his attack names. You're no JYB when it comes to the pronunc, but I have to say I still enjoyed it all the same, especially the final "no damage to report" line.

AussieRoth: Such a tiny line, but so much badass behind it. Dare I say, it's actually better than the original voice actor. I'll get to the mixing later, but whatever filter was used for Aussie's voice was a good choice.

Ryusuke: Hard to critique you when most of your work was pain grunts, but hey they were well executed pain grunts. Liked the "dying" voice clip.

U-1: Same as above, but even harder since I didn't really hear much but analyze cube. Since a MODOK vid was confirmed, I'll just critique you once that one drops.

Mixing: Well done. Nice use of Star Wars sound effects. You gotta tell me where you got the MvC sfx, cuz I've actually wanted to do some MvC3 clips myself for a while now. If there was anything wrong with the mixing, it would be that there are actually too few sound effects. MvC3 is a frantic game of SFX overload, and while you did pretty good at matching the vital stuff, there were a few less important moments for SFX that got shunned (like Doom & MODOK burning from the Ryuenji), which led to a few seconds of silence in a few parts of the video. Silence is something that should never happen in a game like this one. Find some clever ways to fill it out is all I'm saying. Also, there was one sound effect that could only be heard in my right ear, the one where Tron and Gustave were landing.


Overall, like I said, I really like and respect when fandubs like these get done because I feel they're one of the most challenging on the VA and production side. This was very well voiced and, dispite my nitpicks, well put together. Two thumbs up, guys. Going straight to my favorites.

And here I thought I was going to get away with the fire sfx. haha. Yeah, you're right, I probably should have thought to get SFX with fire burning (among other things like the characters falling and ambiance). Also, I kinda did it on purpose since VJ just teleported in the left side (...how'd it get to your right ear, I dunno o_O), the right side is that landing SFX where Iron Man jumped in. Hm, maybe my headphones were reversed or something. Either way, the explanation makes sense, and no problem man, heh, all i did was nitpick.

I should thank you for pointing me in the direction of those tasty sfx. Never hurts to add to the library.

...I do think it's pretty silly awesome that we on the same day released the first of a series of Capcom fighting game trailer dubs, and both of them starring Ry-Guy xD

I think BX3 summed up most of my thoughts on this. Ry-Guy hits a nice middle ground between the energy that JYB brought to the scene with his take on Zero and the serious, samurai-ish take the japanese VA did and it worked wonders. Some the pronounciations were a tad off, but merely on a nitpicking level.

Great job, and I definitely wanna see more of this!

Oh and btw, you are a god among men for that link. Those SF4 sfx are fucking GODLIKE!
