This took an embarrassing amount of work, but I'm finally content with it. Square is rather dodgy about Versus stuff on Youtube, so in case the video gets taken down, I've got a Vimeo stream and the vid's thrown on Megaupload. The downloadable version and Vimeo stream are both un-mirrored in all their glory, so if you're really familiar with this scene, that might be the way to watch it without experiencing severe nausea.

Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy!

    Yayyy finally done yep yep.

Stella- Quite the fitting tone and performance for how the character moves around. I like how you didn't make her too chipper but you still gave her enough spunk for her to be quite interesting to listen to. Really I got nothing to say, the tone is mature enough and the lines were delivered very well. Best performance you've given by a long shot kowy excellent job~

Noctis- Very classy all around, I quite liked how he was expressed overall. I do feel like a few of the starter lines were a tad on the quiet side (just because he's kinda moving his arms around and such I would expect him to be slightly louder). Mainly on the line "I'm fine the way I am", still I liked how it worked with the cutoff stella gave. So yeah overall it seemed appropriate but I started really liking your take after Noctis had sat himself down (which would happen as he's trying to relax himself). Anyway It was a great performance that gives me new found inspiration, excellent job sam x3

    THIS WAS AWESOME!!!!

Now on to the real comment. Anyone can tell after viewing/listening to this that you put an amazing amount of thought, work, and preparation into every aspect of this clip. The writing was flawless and as you wanted it to do, helped anyone take something away from this clip regardless if they know the source material or not. Square hasn't released much info about the game in the 5 or so years since it's announcement but even still I felt like I got a chance to really know something about these characters and their world in this brief moment.

BossTrigger as Noctis: Sam you are without a doubt the master of rhythmic acting. You bring about this unpresidented level of delivery that is almost like a melody of sorts. Everything felt natural. You had all the right inflections in spots and even though Noctis never broke above speaking volume, you brought unbelieveable amounts of life to his every word. Kudos sir. It's easy to tell that you have a very personal attachment to this character and it is my belief that no one could ever touch your Noctis performance.

BlackSilkNinja as Stella: Kory, I felt this was your greatest performance for any character yet. As I told Sam via skype, I REALLY enjoyed your approach to Stella. It was a much fuller voice than what I'm used to hearing from Stella dubbers. I was quite pleased to hear your delivery keep up with Sam's (who like Sarifus, usually sticks out like a sore thumb in dubs with his very specific style of acting) because of this it didn't feel like an english dub over, it felt more like two people having a conversation. You should have told me at A-Kon that you were the greatest actress of all time in this clip! In all seriousness I absolutely adored your Stella.

Crystal as Unknown Goddess: I wish I could go on forever about your performance but it was too short to fangasm over as much xD. I will say that you had the necessary amount of mystique and motherly texture to fit an unknown goddess, so great job!

I demand more now Sam and next time I expect at least 85% more Steven

Fantastic work, Sam and Kory! I'd go as far as to say that these were your best performances yet! Sounded so natural and blended in perfectly! Awesome job!

This dub needs more lions. WHERE ARE THE LIONS? :33333
    Lol, but anyways.

Sam- I learn a lot about conversational naturalism when I listen to you deliver your lines. As has been mentioned before, it is your careful attention to detail in rhythm that keeps things moving and interesting as your inflections are fairly limited due to the tonality of this character's speaking range. That is however, not a negative. You speak with inflections that are realistic and convincing. Once in a skype call I jokingly mimicked your voice and you were like "NUUU I'M NOT AS VALUABLE NOW D:"(Well okay you didn't say it like that ;3).But you know what man, although I may be able to somewhat produce your voice, your acting is DEFINITELY a thing of your own that I could never BEGIN to hope to replicate. Very original, respectable job here! Well done.

Kory- The chemistry that you have with Sam in this is very astounding. You really helped create the illusion of conversation even though the two of you recorded separately. Your inflections were quite varied and convincing throughout the entirety of your performance. I have not seen much of your stuff before due to being lazy about checking out other people's works lol, but I have to say that this is a very thrilling first impression. I can tell you worked hard and did your best to create the performance here that you did. Awesome job! :3

Crystal- Your delivery is very motherly and outstanding. I apologize for not saying as much about you, but I wanted you to know that even though your part was small that you did wonderful work here! You should pursue more roles like this because it's obvious to me that you have a knack for it. Keep it up!

Overall- Lovely job everyone, quite inspiring. <3

    Cool it's out~!

For Noctis, I really liked your delivery towards the end; he seemed more natural and loose. Towards the beginning though, your voice seems quiet and almost clipped. I notice that you tend to murmur in many of your performances; you seem to focus too much on being subtle, which results in your voice lacking strength, sounding somber, and slightly gravelly. Project a little and be more bold with your voice, and I think you can open up your potential further. Otherwise, the voice was quite fitting for the nonchalant prince!

I expected a slightly higher tone for Stella, but I liked that it was mature, soft and not girly. The tone was very nice--curious and delicate. At some points you sounded flat, like during your explanation, but when you're in conversation you sound much more at home. Weave more inflection into your performance and she'll sound more lively and believable. Good job!

Crystal, you only had one line, but it fit well~

You should like, make more stuff. With better mixing next time, gawd you really sucked at it with this scene wth. :/

Funny, as I rhythm'd significantly less here. But hey, I'll take what I can!

THERE IS A SHARK IN THE FISH TANK. Why can't that be enough?

No, I pretty much said it exactly like that.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting you, but that's the sort of thing I was going for. Noctis sort of opens himself up a bit more around "So umm?" and before that he's slightly more guarded. When Stella turns to face him he immediately turns and flees, only occassionally throwing a rigid arm up (something he does about...9 times). I mean, I murmur constantly with characters like L, but I didn't really want Noctis to sound too strong. I'm actually in the process of preparing a scene with a more bold sort of character, but I didn't think I'm being any quieter than say...Lightning, from FFXIII. I was just layering the performance a bit. And as for my voice being gravelly, my voice is extremely rough, to my simultaneous joy and dismay, so you've absolutely got me there.

I love the way the room they're in has a grim reaper statue, a shark in the fishtank and is mostly furnished in black. This takes nothing away from the fact that the two of you achieved fantastic chemistry in this scene. Particularly "Just Noct" and "I'll call you that the next time we meet" was just so spot on.
It's evident you put a great deal of work into the translation, the lipflaps really do work pretty seamlessly. I think the voices for the characters work excellently; can't think of a better vocal tone for Noctis, and Kory - you manage to make Stella sound kindof...playful, motherly, girly, fun, sympathetic, thoughtful..there's just a great deal of layering to the deliveries and you've both really followed the subtleties in the animation very nicely. Really fantastic job you two. My spending of an age editing, rendering, rerendering this was worth it.

    *O*... That. Was. AWESOMEEEEEE~!

Stella - I really liked you tone for her! It had a playful, lighter tone, but still mature. ^-^ I really do think all the deliveries were well made! The shiver and "It would give me nightmares" is my favorite XD I felt like you had terrific enunciation with all your lines. You fit the character very well! Nothing bad to say here~ <3

Noctis - Grrrr. Why is your voice so awesome. Sooo not fair ;P LOL I really do love your tone here! It is SOOO fitting for Noctis in my opinion. I could really feel the delivery of your lines, especially "It's not my fondest memory." and "Enjoy the nightmares." XDD they were great. (Ending line also gave me goosebumps haha) Also I felt like the character did start opening up more towards the end and was more comfortable as they kept talking, which was perfect. Good transition with coming out of his shell ;D

The chemistry between the two was also great. I felt like you could really feel something between them, which obviously was the intention, haha.

Goddess - Only the one liner, but very well delivered! Mystic and mysterious. Mature and I felt somewhat of a protective vibe as well (It could just be my craziness though haha)

The scripting and mixing were also perfect too! A very natural and fluid conversation~

Altogether terrific work! It really came together nicely and I could see the time and effort put into it <3 WONDERFUL JOB ALL OF YOU!!

    (Positivity and hugs) LOL
