As the title says, this is the fan dub of Chapter 11 cut scene in Final Fantasy XIII between Snow and Lightning.





This is my first completed full fan dub that I mixed and organized all by myself.

I found most of the sound effects online (All over the place, I am not sure where but they were the free ones... But thanks for letting me use them!) , but a few I got the effort and actually tried to make them.

If you have any questions, comments, critique, put them down in the comment section! I really hope you enjoy, because I had a lot of fun doing this. Even is my mic is not the best and my voice is not the deepest.

I will just add, I felt proud for the first one. AND before anyone asks, I used Windows Movie Maker 2.6 :3 Tell me what you guys think!

This came out surprisingly well (Especially since you used WMM!? Dayum!) and it was nice seeing it out so shortly after I sent my lines in :'D

Lightning // Kaja.tan -:- I think you did really well in your portrayal of Lightning, but your voice, overall, sounded a little too young for her (for example on "No room for doubt."). I was impressed though that you managed to pull of that kinda smoker-y, low voice that Lightning has without making it sound strained! There was some background fuzz, but it wasn't too distracting, I thought. Overall, I think you did good!

Snow // The Pawt -:- While I do like how my lines came out, overall, I think it'd have turned out better if I redid them once after recording all of them, to better get into character on the first 4~5 lines or so, as they felt kinda... not all there, imo. Oh well. I'm still happy with it, though!

Mixing // Kaja.tan -:- There were some missing sfx, such as Lightning's footsteps in the beginning (although I actually didn't think of that the first two times I watched it xD) and when Snow falls on his ass, but overall it came out well, I thought. The music worked well and most of the sfx did too. ...And I really have to say I'm impressed since you used Movie Maker for this. My mind is, like, blown xD;

Thank you very much! I could not find a SFX for the footsteps that I liked, so, I left it out. ^.^' And I could never find anything that found close to Snow falling on the ground, so, I did a clothing swish thingy... But otherwise, i liked how it came out! ^.^

Snow Villiers/The Pawt - You've got a great depth and fullness for Snow, but I felt some softer, higher inflections would've illustrated his playful casualness a bit more. But, honestly this performance does give Snow quite a bit more firmness, especially on lines like "This tear will be her last." Really nice job!

Lightning Farron/Kaja.tan - I like the texture of your voice quite a bit, although I felt as though it could've stood to be a bit lower and fuller. You made Lightning seem like a different sort of big sister, sometimes you'd sound slightly genuine in a way I normally wouldn't expect from Lightning, but I think this is the sort of thing where that works really well. Nicely done!

You guys have very cool chemistry with these characters, cool work!

Thanks man! Like I said on skype, I had some trouble getting his playfulness right but I did have a blast playing him and certainly wouldn't mind playing him again, if the opportunity showed itself.
