  1. #1 Company Contact Info
If anyone knows the addresses to some companies that accept voice demos, I would greatly appreciate it. Of course, I won't send anything until I get a decent microphone, but, please, if anyone knows, I would be really thankful. ^_^

Well, wherever we can send demo reels, like to different dubbing companies, so I'd say, probably both.

If you are talking about submitting your demo to a company for equity work, save yourself a lot of trouble and wait...

I am saying this because unless your home system is pretty comprehensive and you have an actual recording booth, you'll be at a real disadvantage. FYI: Cost of a good demo is usually 350 - 500 dollars, about double that in LA or NYC. I see from your website that you've done some work, but I have to toss it out there anyway.

Having helped cast for VO work before (mostly commercial), believe me... the difference is really apparent. Unless you are a true phenom, your demo won't be given the attention it deserves if it looks and sounds like an amateur. If the copy you did in the past is pretty good, include it (obvious, but often overlooked)

As for where to submit, do you just want anime distributors (ADV, AnimEigo, CPM, etc.)? That is a really specialized market and is tough to get into... my recommendation is to cut your teeth by first going to the casting agencies in your area to find work doing industrials and commercial work. From there you can branch out once you have a few under your belt (despite doing quite a bit of AVA work, my first year doing equity VO work only got me a handful of gigs... until my name got out there a bit more).

Well I'd also like to know for maybe future reference? It would be useful so people wouldn't need to search for hours. Also, this forum could help out other people who are further in their career than me. Thank you.

Then wouldn't the recommendation to become familiar with the local casting agencies be an aid to that goal? Since a large number of these companies use casting agencies to initially find talent, that is the kind of information you probably want (sadly, I can't remember, else I'd list them... perhaps someone else knows that information? www.Okratron5000.com might a good place to ask though since that is Chris Sabat's place)

That said, to find a fair number of anime casting notices, the Ross Reports and Backstage can offer you a lot of the additional information you will need to get your demo to these studios when they are looking for new voices.

    Cheers!
