You can get it from a wide variety of sources. Anime OSTs are a good place to start. Video game music. Royalty-free music found on various sites like incompetech.com also do the trick. Instrumentals are preferred, of course, to avoid distracting people from your vocals. Sometimes, certain lines will also work better without music too, and instead put in some fitting ambience like wind, rain, insects, or whatever. As for where you can find these things, there are plenty of places. Youtube, royal free sites, megaupload downloads, or you can purchase many OSTs through iTunes these days too (or even just preview the songs to see which ones you like).

What Noah said. ^
Also, freeplaymusic is pretty damn handy, too. You can literally search what kind of themed music you want.
Newgrounds Audio Portal lets you download their music for free, they branch out to
Video Game Tracks
Rock
Hip-Hop
Classical
Jazz
Western/Bluegrass
8-Bit and 16-Bit
practically anything to satisfy your musical needs![]()
Search "royalty free music" on google. This way you won't get in trouble by companies or individuals for copyright.
