I'm kind of torn on this one xD I'm absolutely horrible with interpreting poetry so I sometimes find it a bit hard to understand individual sentences and such, but I can understand enough overall to know what's going on. That being said, since so many modern things have copied the plays, I find it hard to appreciate how they were back in the day since they've been overdone now xD; That being said, at the same time I really enjoyed Romeo and Juliet, Merchant of Venice and especially Twelfth Night though xD Ahh good memories of when my English class attempted to improv Twelfth Night xDD oh dear god

Personally, I prefer the comedies to the tragedies.

The premise of Taming of the Shrew is very enticing. I can't stand it when major characters stay static, despite the events of the plot. Much Ado will most likely be used for a school assignment, and Taming will be for fun.

I've read Merchant and really enjoyed it. Our teacher used an audiobook, so there was always a group of students adding in their commentary. Midsummer was good in the sense that it was entertaining, but as an actor I don't find it fulfilling enough. Macbeth was like Yiddish to me -- though it was understandable, as I read it when I was 12 on my own free will. So much for that grade :/

I read Romeo and Juliet as well. Again, it was a good story, but I didn't particularly like any of the characters aside fom Mercutio. We did, however get to watch the Leo DiCaprio adaptation where the guns were labelled "tool". Still unsure of how to react to Mercutio crossdressing.

Juliet and the frier were brilliant and i loved the duel with Tybalt, other then that i really didn't like the Baz Luhrmann version. The Olivia Hussey version was pretty good.

I dislike his plays, I find them to be very tedious and predictable.

Shakespeare insults my intelligence. I deny it in school and in lieu of the "literature" I satisfy the knowledge necessary for passing via Sparknotes.

Shakespeare I like reading it...despite being predictable, it is still interesting to read.
**Important Notice: I have a a speech problem since I was a kid; I can't pronounce the letter "R" normally, and It sounds like a "w". If I am a VA for a project, look more at the quality of my voice, rather than my articulation.**

    Kinda late to this.

Originally, when I was first introduced to Shakespeare (which would be in the 8th grade), I HATED Shakespeare. I thought it was confusing and stupid. Then as a Freshman in high school, I had to read and perform a scene from Romeo and Juliet. I was cast as Juliet for our class' reading of the play, and I performed the balcony scene.

I got really into Shakespeare in my Senior year of High School, when I went to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon. I saw Hamlet, and I was instantly hooked.

Now, as a sophomore in college, my major is Fine Arts, and my minor is Shakespeare Studies. :3

I love the romance in the words, and the characters all interact splendidly with each other.

For those of you who have not read Shakespeare and do not want to, I recommend the following fantastic plays.

    Romeo and Juliet
    Hamlet
    Titus Andronicus
    As You Like It
    Macbeth
    Antony and Cleopatra
