  1. #1 Transformers Animated - Moving Violations and Stunti-Con Job [Comic Dub]
Heres a quick little project I threw together. Cheetor is one of my all-time favorite characters, so I took the chance to finally play him in something. Enjoy!!

A new video!! This one was made by a buddy of mine. After seeing my dub of "Moving Violations", he wanted to give fandubbing a shot. He asked me to reprise my role and help him get it all rolling. And I have to say, for somebody who's never done anything like this before, I think he did a really great job. I hope you all enjoy!

    Finally I critique your project!

I will be completely upfront. I think this is absolutely fantastic dude, for many different reasons. For one, you did great with the sounds. I don't know if any of these music tracks are from Transformers or whatever, but they really served their respective scenes excellently and your use of the sound effects seriously brought animation to a still picture. I also give a lot of credit to your scenes changes and the different zooms and pans you gave your shots, as they brought the feeling of the scenes to greater fruition. Those factors really kept the pacing going and I gotta applaud you on that.

I also gotta applaud you on the discovery of a new voice! Nothing like finding another way to branch out Your acting as Cheetor is solid, but its definitely your own and not an attempt to imitate the character's original actor.

I was also happier with myself than I expected. I felt fine doing the Crumplezone lines but I wasn't certain if I was adequately representing Depthcharge's voice and essence. Turned out I was rather pleased with my finished product though I think my diction slipped in some lines.

But all in all I am very pleased and impressed with this dude. Cool to see you find a new voice and especially cool to see how well you've brought the comic to life. If anyone is need of a solid almost 2 minutes of entertainment, I'd highly recommend this.

    I never realized there was a Transformers Animated comic. o.o;

This is well put together. The editing and music helped bring this comic to life. You and Cheeto did a great job with your characters. So, yeah, I had a pretty good time watching it. Good job, guys.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'm glad you both enjoyed it.

And Ryusuke, I think there's only one series of Transformers that doesn't/didn't actually have a comicbook series (Transformers: Robots in Disguise). It did have a one shot, or a short comic though. But yeah, all TF series have/had comics.

Love Transformers, and I especially love Animated.

Anyways, some of the panels with everyone freaking out over the chase were too quiet. There are tons of bots running from or noticing the chase and they remain silent. However, the music that plays is very cool. Was this part of the Animated soundtrack? If so, I must've missed it. Another thing to note is that for someone who hadn't previously read the comic, it would probably be hard to figure out who is talking while they are in vehicle mode. Some zooms might have been able to clear it up.

I was never a fan of the Unicron Trilogy, so I don't know much about Crumplezone and Ransack, but once in robot mode, you can figure out who is talking because the voices match up with their character designs. Cheetor sounds exactly as he should, young and energetic. Depth Charge, however, doesn't sound threatening, angry, or dominant at all in his demoting of Cheetor. He sounds very calm throughout most of it.

Anyways, this is a pretty good job. Let me know if you plan on dubbing the follow up comic.

Hey, thanks for the very unexpected comment/critique, StarYoshi! (Love Yoshi, btw)

I can explain a lot of the things you mention (not necessarily defending, just explain why they are the way they are). For example, the reason that all of the bots freaking out during the chase don't yell or have voices or anything is because they weren't scripted to. The actual comic lacked any dialogue. voices for them, so I didn't add any. It probably would have benefitted from adding those bits of walla, but I didn't think about it, and I wasn't overly interested in adding something to the comic that wasn't really there.

The songs I used are from the actual series (I believe they are from the 3 part series premier "Transform and Roll Out"), but these I belive are recreations of them. Just the same, they are really good remakes of them and I was happy to find them, seeing as this is a TFA comic, and it's TFA music.

I really wish that I could have done better zooms and movements with the pictures in the comic as you suggested, but the only video editing software I have at my disposal (for now) is Windows Movie Maker, and as nice as it is to be able to export 1080 HD, it's incredibly limited in its abilities. I have thought about doing some other comic dubs, but I won't until I've got some better software at the ready for it, though.

Actually, a friend of mine has contacted me about doing the follow up comic and having me reprise my role as TFA Cheetor. If/when that happens, I'll be sure to post it here for you and everyone else to take a look at! Thanks again for the comment, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Is this person having open auditions for the dub? That would be something I would be interested in auditioning for.

I don't know what he's planning to do yet. It's still in the planning stage, but if he does, I'll shoot you a message!
