EDIT: I just learned that AnimeNewsNetwork website has an updating list of anime and manga creators and voice actors that are confirmed to be safe and sound, in case anyone was concerned about anyone in particular. In the forum discussing the list (on page 9 I believe), there is a link to a people finder where you can type in someone's name and see if there is any news on their condition. But most of you probably already knew that.

A lot of my favorite VAs and mangakas are alive and well, too, thankfully. But right now I'm concerned about Hiromu Arakawa (FMA) and Jun Mochizuki (Pandora Hearts). No word on either of them yet, I think.

I heard rumors, not sure if confirmed or not can't find much, that the creator of Pokemon could have possibly died in the quakes. If this is true my childhood has been shaken to its core.

Nah, I'm pretty sure that's a bunch of trolls spreading rumors. I read that it was confirmed that he's alright.
