    Episode 6 "Haters gonna hate"

    4SHARED

    Guest: Haushinka/Rina-chan
This was recorded so long ago that I don't even know what the hell we discuss. So here's the cliff notes version, haters, pokemon and other stuff.
Note: Yes, I am very very low. This was rather late when we did this so I had to whisper to prevent people around me at the time from waking up and bitching...>_>

Episode 5 "A Wild Mippa Appears"
    Download/stream
    4SHARED

    MESSAGE FROM TRAVIS -

    Guest: Mippa
Yes, Mippa. We discuss voice acting in the real world, how it relates to being an adult and living on your own. And other stuff! It's the return of Mippa, so for you Mippa fanboys and fangirls, rejoice and enjoy.

Episode 4 "The Scarlotte Letter" (See what we did thar?)
    Download/stream
    4SHARED

    Guest: Scarlotte
In this episode Scarlotte is our guest as we actually are more productive and informative, she keeps us in line this time! In this podcast we discuss the following: Audio Mixing tips, various interesting radioplays, Twilight, Cliques on the VAA. Oh yeah, we went there. This is also the longest podcast yet! Enjoy!

    Episode 3 "Winning!"
    Download/stream
    4SHARED

    Guest: Cydonia
Cydonia graces us with her presence as she talks about her original radioplay "Altered Mindset". We talk about projects that never found completion, Celebrities as voice actors, writing, winning, Matt Alan con and all other sorts of nonsense. Tons of fun and chaos, it's surely to be enjoyable! We're winning!

    Episode 2 "Chocolate Thunder Bitches"
    Download/stream
    4SHARED

    Guest: Bomberman61
We throw it back to the days of Take Three with one half of the duo that ran the podcast fame on the VAA back in the day. And by back in the day we mean 2007-2009. We focus on upcoming productions in the audition phase as well as just shoot the breeze with Bomberman61.

Episode 1: The pilot episode of the podcast, BigT introduces the concept of the podcast, we talk about a few audio dramas, ideas for promotion, VA pet peeves, as well as tips for creating demo reels. Our first contest is introduced as well!

If you would like to be a guest on "The Podcast" please email us at "VAAThePodcast@gmail.com" with a subject of "Guest for VAA Podcast" so we know what your intentions are ^^.

This podcast is to help develop a voice for the community and bring everyone together in the enjoyment of this very fun and involved art form that we call voice acting, as well as producing, and even animating. We want to help you get noticed and help bring more attention to your own projects! So don't hesitate to contact us!

Adam note: I normally have my microphone in a non-moving position when I record, I have no idea why I had it moving when I recorded this. So that's my bad. I didn't realize it picked up the slightest movements, oh well, lesson learned haha.

    Important info:

This week's contest deadline: Friday, March 4th, 2011

That was a great start! You two made some excellent points throughout this podcast.

    1) I completely agree. Original projects show the TRUE talent and extent of our members here. I have been saying it for years; mainly on deaf ears, but whatever; fact is, you will NEVER hear the true abilities of our fellow voice actors and actresses until you throw them into a radioplay. It allows them to remove ALL constraints. No worry about time, or sounding simular to the original voice actor; no, they are allowed to really show us what they got. A few cases were like with XTREEMMAK. The character I have him playing, Vesta, was originally meant to be quite a different character. But I pretty much let him do his own thing, removed ALL restraints; and now he is giving me extra lines and changing lines to better suit the character we have built together. People like Lucien and Molty Fool are a few others; I have seen in Project AAMEE and Elysium Project. Honestly, there are even others I didn't know were as great as they were until I heard them outside of fandubs. That is why I find it a damn shame when the original works get looked over. If you REALLY want to scout for good talent; or put a VA's merit to the test; or even if you are the VA and want to push yourself to the limits, original works are the way to go!

Anyway. Point was, I agreed with you guys on how original works demonstrated the true talents of this board. And I am often amazed when I come across projects like previously mentioned and hear VAs in a new light!

    2) I am one of those producers that when I start something, I go through with it. Though I have ran into a lot of snags; and the reason half of my stuff is on hold or hasn't released a new episode is due to voice actors either dropping out or taking forever to get lines in. I also hate to recast; which puts me at a disadvantage. But that was another good point you guys made; on how its rare to see that around here. Most series' don't ever finish. Personally I am trying REALLY hard to get the first season of Dies Irae done. I have 11 out of 13 episodes scripted; and am waiting on two VAs to get me lines for episode 6. I already got about 90% of lines needed for the second half of episode 7. Point is, it is rare; but awesome to see. Another one you guys should mention is TsiXin's "Butajin!!!". He actually completed the first season; and each episode is quite long in length. I wish my VA's were often as punctual as his (most of mine are, but a FEW... YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!... arent). But his is an example of finishing a season; and a pretty good one at that!

    Annnnnnnnnnnyway!

Again, awesome first episode! I look forward to seeing where things go from here. But I love the idea; and wish I could help out more than I do~ because I love doing things to promote original series' (just look at my sig! Mwahahaha).

Keep up the great work guys~

"Stay classy, VAA." Oh, you guys. X3 I loved this so much! It took me like an hour to stream it, though, since it just didn't want to download, but eh, I still managed to listen to it! This was a really, really brilliant start! You guys have great voices for podcasting, and I really can't wait to hear more! :3

This podcast came out better than I thought! I'm hoping you guys cover more "touchy" topics for VAA. Though don't expect me to enter that contest. =p (Also: This was was once a community?)
==Music requests are no longer available due to an overload with little output or feedback. Commissions however, are totally available!==

A few years ago, during the first few years I was here, Auditions numbering between 30-50 for a project wasn't unusual, they were released more often, and people were more willing to comment on other people's works. We hope and aim to encourage more active participation.
