Hey guys! Right now I'm working on an original RPG game with the working title "the Origin Project." For now, I'm not planning on having the game fully voiced - all I'm looking for are some voice clips to use in battle. However, I'm giving you guys lines to read so I can find someone who's I feel is the right fit for the character.
You never know, though - I could change my mind and add a few scenes with voices. It all depends on who comes out, really. c;
(In fact, if I get enough decent voices, I'll very likely add some voiced scenes. x3)

Characters
MALES
Name: Ricard Kendall
Age: 45-50
Bio: Ricard is Julia's father, and a tough warrior to boot. He is the leader of a small rebel faction based in the village of Isin, and he hates the Ishteran Empire. He is a serious man and extremely protective of Julia, constantly shielding her from Ishteran eyes.
Ricard and Julia moved to Isin about 15 years ago, and he has since become a respected member of the village. People go to him for advice as he is wise and strong; however, he can be a bit abrupt and rash. He doesn't like Alvaro, but that's probably less to do with his personality and more the fact that he hit on his little girl...
Voice type: For Ricard, I want a deep, gravelly voice. Think Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) or Auron (Final Fantasy X).

"Just watch yourself, boy." (Totally dead serious; terrifying; contemptuous)
"You...! I never thought I'd see you again..."
"Perhaps I misjudged you." (hint of amusement)
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have kept this a secret for so long. I just... I thought that if you didn't know, I could..."
"Julia, just get out of here! You, boy...protect her for me!" (He says this while injured and holding back enemy soldiers)
Name: Dr. ???
Age: ??
Bio: The Doctor is a mysterious figure linked to the Ishteran Empire. He appears to know much about magic, and appeared before Amelcia one day with promises to help her expand her empire.
However, he seems to have his own agenda, and doesn't feel any loyalty to the empire or Amelcia. He also seems to be a bit of a sadist, taking great pleasure in pain. He has been known to experiment without anaesthetizing his patients and also uses children in his experiments quite frequently. Needless to say, he is a complete monster.
Voice type: The doctor's voice should be medium-high. It should sound a little unhinged, but completely serious when need be.

"Yes... with her power, we would most certainly find it."
"Compassion? Who needs compassion?"
"I don't need any more of your sappy babbling!"
"Ah, it's you! Hehehehe, you were successful after all, then? Ahahaha, my brilliance never ceases to astound me!"
"Perhaps you ought let me put you out of your misery. I promise, it won't hurt at all...! Well, not for too long, anyway."

FEMALES
Name: Julia Kendall
(3rd in the lineup, red haired woman, smirking)
Age: 19
Bio: Julia is cheerful, sarcastic, and a little bit naïve. She has led a sheltered life in the small village of Isine located on the fringes of the Ishteran border. She's a jokester and likes making people laugh. However, underneath her friendly and adorable persona, she's frightened and a little insecure.
Julia isn't quite sure how to handle Alvaro's roguish charms and constant flirting, but she eventually comes to truly care for him and wants to help him forgive himself. She is a person who tries her best to be independent, but she's a little scared of standing on her own. Because of this, she has trouble looking after herself. She has good intentions and wants to help people.
Voice type: For Julia, I want a medium range voice (not too high or too low). It should be playful, sarcastic, but a little nervous and naive.

"Gee, lemme think about that one for a sec.... How 'bout no?"
"Let me go! Damn it, you miserable bastard! LET ME GO!" *NOTE* if you are uncomfortable with mild cussing, you can change this line to remove the cursing. (Note 2: Alvaro is pulling away from her father, who is hurt and she wants to help. At this point, Al has been asked by Julia's father to protect her.)
"S-stop kidding around!"
"Alvaro, I... please. Please, let me help you."
"I wonder if Dad's alright...?" (She thinks he may be dead but isn't admitting it.)
"This power... I haven't felt anything like this before. It...kind of scares me."
Name: Elda Thene
(2nd in the line-up, woman with the pink hair)
Age: 21
Bio: At first glance, Elda is a cold, git-'er-dun type of woman. She's very focused and efficient, so, naturally, when she's forced to work with the laid-back Alvaro, she gets irritated with him and questions his attitude. Her professionalism is her pride, so she has trouble understanding his behaviour.
Elda has trouble relating to people and is used to suddenly being enemies with a former ally at the drop of the hat, so she chooses to work alone when she can. She sees other people as a burden. However, as she lets herself make friends with the party, she discovers a maternal side she doesn't quite know what to do with.
Voice type: For Elda, I want a deeper to medium female voice. It should be fairly serious but with a touch of motherly warmth.

"Look, just keep your hands to yourself, stay out of my way, and if we're lucky we can get through this smoothly."
"Wait- what did you say your name was again?... tch, of course you are."
"Just being with you... becoming friends with you.... I've learned so much. So.... thanks. For everything." (She is a little awkward about this: she's not exactly an emotional person.)
"I haven't come this far just to lose to you!"
"Damn it, Alvaro, pull yourself together!"
Name: Demi Guula
(6th in the line-up; green haired girl)
Age: 16
Bio: Demi is a serious girl with an understanding of responsibility and a maturity beyond her years. She puts on a brave face, but she is wearied by her duty and secretly longs for the chance to live the childhood that was stolen from her. However, regardless of this, she is a kind and selfless person who puts other's needs ahead of her own.
Demi joined a resistance movement in order to aid in the liberation of Kuruk. Her motives for doing so are a mystery as she keeps quiet about her personal life. However, she's tough and strong willed; this is a girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Voice type: For Demi, I'm looking for a medium-higher female voice. It should be determined and bright, but also serious and a little weary.

"You coward! Come back here and fight me honorably!"
"Stop treating me like a child! I'm not a child...I'm not..."
"Hey, you're going to the capital, right? I want to come along."
"I'm...worthless?"

Name: Amelcia, The Grand Matriarch of Ishtera

Bio: Amelcia is maternal and charismatic with a brilliant mind. She is the beautiful leader of the Ishteran Empire and seeks to expand her empire to the edges of the world. She always plans ahead and can play people's emotions like a piano. When the rules of the game change, she can adapt in a second and be off and running again. And yet, she is likeable and trustworthy.
Her goals seem to be uniting the world and ending conflict forever. However, her methods for doing so are becoming increasingly more drastic...
Voice type: For Amelcia, I want a deeper, mature voice. It should be dramatic but controlled, with just a touch of 1930s sexy in there. For the most part, her voice will be calm and soothing, like a mother's. She should also sound very regal. When she begins to drop the regal act, however: that's where the Disney Villain camp comes out.
If you want an excellent example of what I'm going for here, think Mother Gothel from Disney's "Tangled" or Maleficent from "Sleeping Beauty."

"I think your role in this little game has come to an end."
"Why? Because the world cannot look after itself. So much fighting...so much pain. Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could make it all vanish?"
"This energy source you speak of... it is more powerful that what we have now?... We accept."
"What is this? You think to play the dashing hero and thwart my plans? Hahaha, how delightfully comic! Do not fear, my children: I shall relieve you of your responsibility and release you from this life!"
"I understand your feelings of pain; this...isolation you feel. I only wish to help you, if you'd let me."
"I only wanted to protect my children...perhaps I shouldn't have-"
Other things to know:
- Don't try out if you don't have a medium to good quality mic. Even if you rock, I want good quality sound bits. Sorrrry~!
- All auditions will be private! Just e-mail me your voice clips and I will respond to you from there. You don't even have to post in the thread. c: I will not share your voice clips with anyone, so you don't have to be nervous. c: I'm also very, very nice, so if you are not what I'm looking for I'm not going to go all Simon Cowell on you. x3
- If you aren't sure about the character or need some direction, feel free to ask. I'm more than willing to help you sound your best.
- Only record and send the audition lines. Don't worry about attacking noises or whatever just yet - I'll get you to do that if you get the part. c; Also, feel free to play with the lines a little in order for them to suit you. You might end up saying something better than I can write. x3
- Even if you don't think you'd be a perfect fit for the character, try out anyway! You may surprise me.
- Read all of the character information! This is pretty important, since it will help you find the character.
