    Well for me it's the scene from the 1958 science-horror film "The Fly".

    I never really saw the film but I saw this scene on youtube....it's disturbing....

    NOTE: I already posted the youtube video in another thread so here's the link to that exact post.

    Moved to the Lounge.

    I don't get scared at movies much since I grew up, but when I was a kid I got scared by the stupidest thing. It was this monster in the movie "Ernest Scared Stupid." It was the worst movie ever, but the monster horrified me and I thought it was under my bed. I couldn't have been more than six.

    I have been affected by certain scenes, however. Recently the ending to Twin Peaks (television show) left me unable to sleep.
    Because I'll be pulverizing you sometime over the weekend.

    And the cleaning lady... cleans up... dust. She dusts. And she has weekends off, so... Monday. Right?

    Oddly enough, I can watch movies like The Ring, Ju-on or Paranormal Activity and be fine, even bored. But I remember walking out of Revolutionary Road with my friends and being so disturbed that I was shaking. It was so bad that we all chipped in and bought a pack of cigarettes.

    If you look up disturbing in the dictionary, one of the entries will be 'the entirety of watching Irréversible'. Dear God...

    The escape pod scene from Alien - meaning the last part of the movie, really - but that's mostly because of the relentless, strobe-like effect of the film's lighting shining in my dark room ended up giving me a mild panic attack!

    You know what movie freaked me out but really shouldn't have? Primer. Once I got a rough handle on just what was actually happening in the film, I realized that there was a whole bunch of stuff involved that was going on, but the film didn't even bother to gloss. Talk about tension in the periphery.

    I love Primer, but it's so nuts and you're right there's a lot happening off-screen that you have to infer. It's a movie that you have to watch and then immediately re-watch with the Wikipedia article open.

    Depends on my mindset when I'm watching a film. If I look at it from a technical-logical point of view....almost any film doesn't seem to bother me regardless of how out there or gore ridden it is @_@; If I'm just there and not thinking too much... usually really gore ridden one's with torture. Like "The Audition" and the last few minutes. Yikes. The storyline is more or less creepy considering there's actually people like the girl in the film out in the world @_@;

    Dolls in 1987
    Not for anyone who has a thing about dolls but when i was 5-6 i sneeked into the livingroom at night and hid behind the couch when my mum was watching this and i couldnt have a barbie until i was a teen. then i bought it to see what the fuss was about and it's still creepy.
