In the beginning, our world was not much different then your own. But after the advent. Of modern technology the world eventually collapsed, the technology was salvaged but for those who lost a piece of the pie, their lives changed. The world has been mixing old and new ideas ever since this momentous collapse. After the collapse, the new ideas gathered had become something of which you’d read in Myth or legend, but not in our world. One of the world’s most precious and outrageous of new ideas was the manifestation of human energy. It was always possible but never practical, until now. The ability to go inside and pull out your electrical impulses and concentrate it into a beam of light was never even a thought in the history of mankind. But now, over seventy percent of the world’s population uses it. Why you might ask. Simple. To control the world… there have been those seeking to become the most powerful Mana energy user in existence, some even claiming to have already reached the pinnacle. Only one has truly reached that ending clause… and I plan to be the second. My name is Togey, and I’m going to be the most powerful person you will ever meet.

The start was abit boring for me. But around the middel i really startit liking it. And i really enjoi it.

Seriously, though, I thought everyone played their parts very well. Somehow I felt Togey (Tri) was almost too calm sometimes, and I understand that's part of his character but does he not get winded at all during battle? Maybe I'm just not used to it yet. I loved hearing Saya (tara) because there was always so much behind her lines; Fumo (River) wasn't quite as interesting, but probably it's because he doesn't have as much history with Togey. There was a reaction near the beginning from Lena (Shudo) that wasn't quite frightened enough compared to the rest of the episode. Somehow it feels intentional, though, since at that point it sounds like she's given up and probably expected to be ambushed since she's by herself in some forest. Gotz (XTREEMAK) was a little too low to be convincing, but I laughed at the mocking line and felt, other than the pitch, it was great.

Actually, all my nitpicks have an excuse, so I really thought you guys did a great job! Mixing-wise (and maybe even script-wise) there were some awkward breaks where I wasn't quite sure what was happening. I'll listen again on headphones, but I think it just needs some more fluidity. Also, the beginning was a bit too long; I think all that will be explained through the story anyway.

And now that I've met my sis, I can't wait for the next one!

Thank you. I agree that it's a little slow at the beginning but definitely picks up in the middle part. First episodes of every series tend to be the hardest to present since you have to establish certain facts, it can be difficult to convey properly.

But thanks for your thoughts! Episode 2 can start mixing as soon as I get a set of lines.

Hmm . . . okay.

I found the opening narration to be just a bit too long and repetitive, though I tend to make the same mistakes so I'm being hypocritical.

I also agree with Monotori that the episode took a bit too long to get going. The episode picked up in pacing and interested me a lot more once Togey actually entered the picture to meet with Lena. Saya also made things more interesting, and I think that the story will get better. Slow starts are fine, I tend to have slow starts myself, and hopefully the pacing will improve as the episodes continue on.

I did like the VAing. TriPredRavage didn't quite pull off the battle scene as Monotori mentioned but otherwise he was good. Shudo is always great at playing distressed characters so Lena came across naturally, and dragonknighttara injected some weight and strength into Saya that made her stand out as a unique character. I think Gotz came across as slightly stereotypical but he was a fine opening act bad guy and XTREEMMAK did excellently. Fairuza and River Kanoff also did well with their materiall.

Hope to hear more soon from this project.

It's bumpage times, folks! Episode 2 is now complete! I kind of took my time with this one. I hope you guys enjoy it, as if most of my shows Episode 2 seems to be where the series picks up its momentum. I guess it's a sort of habit I have, deliver a less then stellar first episode and then pump up the magnitude with Episode 2. Maybe it's because I'm more used to the characters? Eh, well, in any case, I'll let you be the judge, BEHOLD Episode 2.

Fiiiiiiinally found some time to listen to episode 2. I have to say, I thought it was much improved from the first episode. I thought the intro was a little slow at first, but it picked up quickly and left me entertained. I thought the acting was pretty solid all around and I was really pleased to hear Monotori in a sizable role! I was pretty impressed Mono, and I can't wait for you to return to the series! Here's looking forward to the next episodes' completions and continued improvement!
