I am already preparing for A-kon for next year I'll definantly be there. and this time I wanna actually meet the Vaa members

which means we should do a meet up cause cheap people like me don't want to pay the hotel like $40 for a weekend of internet XD

Ani-Idol is FINALLY coming to A-Kon!



What Is Ani-Idol?

Ani-Idol is a karaoke-style competition based on the famous show seen on TV. However, unlike the famous TV show, no one will be critical of their singing abilities on-the-spot. People sign up for this event to sing songs which must be primarily in Japanese in front of professional judges and a live audience. There are three rounds total. Participates are rated on vocal/singing performance, showmanship / presentation and stage appeal.



If you like to sing, then this is the contest for you! The rules are not posted in the A-Kon forums, and should be on the website shortly!

Well...for the last two years I've said I would go but never did because I never saved up money.

But this year, I think I'll give it a go with my friend. Just to see what it's like. Not too sure if I'd be in for a meet up since I barely know the people posting in this thread. But...I'll be there. Just thought I'd say.

I try to go to karaoke each year. Sadly, I can't compete in AniIdol. D: Anyone who wants to come by and say hi to me at my table in the Exhibitor's Hall gets a free thing.

Dealers room is the ship. <3 Favorite event would have to be the cosplay, but some of the panels are interesting as well (just really depends on what is being offered) and the stuff that goes on near the Artist Alley is pretty interesting to watch too. : O
