    Hi everyone,

I'm studying for a music degree in the UK and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good voice acting books I could use. I was hoping to have my title as something like: The Link Between Music and Voice Acting.

So far I have a couple of articles and a really good podcast, but I need more depth

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    thanks,

That is... a bit of an unconventional link to make. Could you elaborate?

There are many forms of media that utilize both music and VO, but there are only a handful that are linked fundamentally. One could argue musical theatre or opera, but in my mind that's a big stretch. The only thing that comes to mind that isn't super-debatable would be music with a spoken-word section as part of the performance e.g. Peter and the Wolf.

Ahh yeh definetly, I was thinking that might be too specific. If I did it describing the use of music in musical theater (or modern musical theater if that was too vague) and have a section describing voice acting and how it relates to music.

What other titles would you suggest? I'm able to find a variety of courses for music in theater.

Sorry for the vagueness, I'm pretty stumped haha

Okay, now I'm confused, are you asking about titles to source for a paper/essay you're writing, or suggestions for titles/courses you can study to further your education?

    Apologies, that was a typo.

I meant to say I managed to find alot of sources about musical theater and how music plays its part within that.

I was hoping for some alternative titles for my essay, if possible, ones involving music within musical theater etc. I think I would need to be a little more specific than the likes of "Music's Role within Musical Theater"... maybe the role of music within a certain timeline or something? Also, any particular sources I should seek in order to carry this out.

I'm open to all suggestions, sorry for the confusion.

Sorry, I'm still a little confused, have you dropped the facet of voice acting from your essay? Because I can't really figure out the link between it and music, unless you're going on just the voices within musical theater as linked to the music supporting them.
