In the chronology of the series, Skyward Sword is a prequel to Ocarina of Time, and elaborates on the origins of the Master Sword and Ganon.[8][18] According to legend, after the creation of Hyrule, the Triforce was entrusted by the Golden Goddesses Din, Farore and Nayru to the deity known as Hylia. However, the Demon King Demise gathered an army to take the Triforce for his own evil intent. Using her power to create the floating islands called Skyloft to keep the Hylians and the Triforce safe, Hylia and the remaining tribes—the Ancient Robots, the Parella, the Kikwis, the Gorons, and the Mogmas—battled Demise's horde before the demon was defeated.

The plot begins many years after the prologue and follows an incarnation of the protagonist Link, who was born and raised in Skyloft, who begins to have dreams of a strange figure. Woken up by his childhood friend Zelda, Link gets ready for the Wing Ceremony, a tradition to acknowledge one as knight. Link completes the ceremony after overcoming the attempts of a classmate, Groose, to sabotage him. However, Zelda is then taken in by a storm which sucks her down to the still demon-infested Hyrule. Soon after, Link learns that the figure from his dream is Fi, the spirit of the Goddess Sword which Hylia created in case the evil she defeated was to stir again.

Link is a young man who grew up in Skyloft, a land high above the clouds. When his childhood friend, Zelda, falls to the surface he leaves Skyloft to find his missing friend. At the start of his journey, Link retrieves the Goddess Sword, the sword once used by the Goddess who raised Skyloft above the clouds.
    D-Cast to: ShadyVox
Unlike previous links, this one has great balance between sincerity, comedy, and sense of relate-ability, from what I've seen of previous work of Shady, I know he can be sure to pull off each field of Link's personality, and actually make us believe the character could exist (yknow..as real as elf boys jumping out of the sky to fight demons can get.)

    FI

Fi is the guardian of the Goddess Sword and resides within it. She accompanies Link on his journey and acts as his guide.
    D-Cast to: Sapphire
Sapphire's natural voice and articulation could really help sell a character like Fi as a wise and "straight to the point" guide, I feel as the story goes the more Fi shows emotion and feeling, which makes me feel that she could definitely pull off the transition of personalities.

    LORD GHIRAHIM

Lord Ghirahim is a possible primary antagonist of Skyward Sword who is an adept swordsman and authority figure in the land below Skyloft. He thinks very highly of himself, dresses and acts effeminately, and has the ability to disappear and teleport at will. Following the Wing Ceremony, Ghirahim summons a tornado in an attempt o capture Zelda. However, his plans are ruined when a “servant of the goddess” takes her instead.
    D-Cast to: Apatheria
There is no doubt in my mind on this choice. The first time I looked at Ghirahim, I felt it was a role Apa could pull off flawlessly, Ghirahim is great at showing a sense of arrogance, and grace as a swordsman, but deep down is downright sadistic and angry, many personalities that I've seen Apa put his voice onto, and pull off a great performance.

    ZELDA

Zelda is Link’s childhood friend and the daughter of Gaepora. She appears to be a priestess and resides over the annual Wing Ceremony. Following the ceremony, she falls to the surface when Ghirahim summons a tornado in an attempt to capture her.
    D-Cast to: IchigoxCupcakes
The first SINGING Zelda, and when I heard her the first time, I instantly heard Nana's singing and voice behind her. This was definitely a no brainer here.

    IMPA

Impa is a member of the Sheikah tribe and acts as Zelda’s companion and guardian during her quest. Initially she does not think that Link is worthy to aid Zelda.
    D-Cast to: Fairuza
Stern, soft-toned, and dedicated to protect people she cares for. Yep, that's a Fairuza born role alright.

    GROOSE

Groose is Link’s rival at the Knight Academy and the leader of a group of bullies. He kidnaps Link’s Loftwing just before the Wing Ceremony in an attempt to keep Link from participating.
    D-Cast to: Motly Fool
Something about Groose just makes me want to see Motly voice him, definitely the comic relief of the game, and even though he starts off as a arrogant, boastful bully, he does warm up and become a really likeable character, and I think MF would certainly pull off the character with ease.

Yes folks I have finally gotten around to making a list for this topic this year and this shall be for the TurboGrafx CD classic Ys Book I & II!

    Adol Christin- BigTUnit1
First of all yes I am aware that Adol is normally never voiced in English dubs of games (despite that he actually has had lines in those games). But I do recall on how Big can do a nice moderate youthful male voice for a heroic young man that can suit this rather role rather well.

    Sara the Fortuneteller- Batgirl
Yeah I know I do kind of typecast Batgirl for her lovely lower toned voices but she was pretty much my first choice for this role as I am also confident that she can do a nice somber performance for this mysterious fortuneteller whom is one of Adol's first allies.

    Feena- Spiritkitten
I feel quite confident that Spirit can do a cute moderately high voice but give it a nice and gentle performance that would suit the role rather well.

    Leah- Mippa
I am thinking one of Mippa's more moderate toned voices would suit this calm enigmatic traveling bard whom is a bit more than what she seems to be and can do a suitably somber performance here.

    Goban Toba- Dilasc
This was actually somewhat difficult to cast but then I remember on how Dilasc can do a rougher and older voice fairly well so he certainly has a good amount of potential for this role.

    Luta Gemma- Masako-kun
Masako was kind of my first choice for this role here I can easily picture him doing a nice calm moderate toned voice for this gentleman of a wandering bard.

    Dogi- Antfish
While yes Dogi doesn't really get that much of a role until the 3rd game but since Dogi did appear in Book I & II I will still mention Dogi as Antfish is known for doing lower voices and I am quite sure he can do a brawny friendly young male voice just fine.

    Dark Fact- U-1
His Pyron voice in his Darkstalkers Voice Reel (that was a response to my Darkstalkers Voice Challenge a while back) does sound like it would really fit the role. As I can picture U-1 being able to do a moderately low sinister yet regal voice for this role quite well.

    Lillia- Shudo Ranmaru
Shudo can easily do somewhat higher cutesy voices for friendly young female roles before so I am quite certain she can do this role just fine.

    Tarf Hadal- Sayaka
Sayaka is very capable when it comes to little boy voices as I believe she can do a somewhat rough but natural little boy voice for this role for sure.

    Keith Fact- Bladeblur
I admit I was tempted to self-cast here but after hearing Bladeblur's 2K9 demo I do feel that he can do a rather rough raspy voice that can suit this poor demon whom was once a man pretty well.

    Dekka Dabbie- Ryusuke
Ryusuke was kind of my first choice for this role as I do feel he can do a nice calm intellectual voice and performance for this role pretty well enough.

    Maria Messa- Lucca
I am sure Lucca can do a nice moderate voice for the role and can do a suitably dramatic performance for this damsel in distress here.

    Dalles- Selfcast
Yeah this is going to be my selfcast, I mean hey I love doing lower demonic voices and I am thinking of doing something like my Zoda voice from my demo for this year.

    Darm- Shockdingo
I am going with my old buddy ShockDingo here as he too is genuinely capable of doing deeper demonic voices just fine so he can do a deep sinister voice for this role just fine.

While I am aware that a few of these characters were not actually voiced in Ys Book I & II (but most of them were) but still here is my latest Dreamcast and I do hope that the next one will come in a lot sooner.
Please Audition for What if Ryuji Yamazaki was in King of Fighters XIII?

Zero: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
    (Fatal Frame 4)

    Story: (courtesy of Wikipedia)

10 years ago, five girls were kidnapped by Yō Haibara, a suspected serial killer, from their rooms in a mysterious sanatorium on Rougetsu Island, located south of Honshu. They were eventually rescued by Chōshirō Kirishima, a detective pursuing the criminal. Several years after the incident, two of the girls, Marie Shinomiya and Tomoe Nanamura, died mysteriously. The three remaining girls, Ruka Minazuki, Misaki Asō and Madoka Tsukimori, all now 17 years old, return to the island to recover their lost memories and find out more about their kidnapping. Chōshirō also returns to find Ruka in her mother's request.

    Ruka Minazuki :: Simbaga

Ruka Minazuki is the main heroine of Fatal Frame IV. 10 years ago (in 1970), Ruka and four other girls were rescued by a detective after being kidnapped. As a result of that incident, Ruka lost all her memories of her childhood.
I have yet to work with Simbaga and it’s definitely a shame when it is apparent how much of a versatile voice actress she is. Not to mention, Simbaga has a great attitude towards her producers and just everyone entirely. I’m a real sucker for voice actors/actresses that are fun to work with. As I said, Simbaga is also very much flexible, so there was no doubt in my mind that she could take this role by the neck. My direction would be to have the delivery as real as possible, to counterbalance the fact that the characters don’t need a cartoony or over-the-top voice. That’s what got me thinking is that Simbaga sets herself apart in that she can not only create a delivery that is believable, but a voice to accompany that. Given the nature of the video game, I find that immensely powerful. Simbaga’s already had me engulfed in a few scenes before (to my immediate knowledge) and I’m sure that streak will continue, especially for this role.

    Misaki Aso :: Damaru

Misaki Asou is one of the four playable characters in Fatal Frame IV. She is a member of the Asou Family, and possesses a strong sixth sense. One of the surviving kidnapped girls, Misaki is a strong-willed girl who has to have her way. Led by the vision of a girl in black who appears in her memory, Misaki and her friend Madoka Tsukimori travel to Rougetsu Island.
Damaru is yet another voice actress I have yet to work with. Thinking over it now, I might as well punch myself. What initially had me considering Damaru for Misako was that she can also create an authentic performance, one that can drag you in and never let go until the performance is finished. Another factor, and excuse me for sounding like I’m type-casting, but Damaru also has a sort of A-grade proficiency with foreboding characters; those who you think have more than what they can say and hide it with apparently stoicism. Misako comes off as the most dark out of the bunch with her cold expressions and assertive behavior. Of course, that little cherry on top was that Damaru can also deliver that smoothly, haha. This decisions felt like a no-brainer.

    Madoka Tsukimori :: ichigoxcupcakes

Madoka Tsukimori is one of the four playable characters in Fatal Frame IV, and is the first character played as in the game. One of five surviving girls kidnapped 10 years ago, Madoka has a timid personality. Madoka returns to Rougetsu Island in search for answers about her missing past after one of the other surviving girls, Misaki Asou, persuades her into heading there with her.
On the other hand, Madoka required a bit of more thought. The thing about how Madoka was executed in the Japanese dub (the only dub, that is) is that she is unrelentingly afraid. That’s already explored the minute you’re thrown into the game. I looked back on that and Nana was immediately drawn to the table. I would really hate for Madoka to seem too dramatic for the audience to chew on (as she could be, at times, in the Japanese dub) and Nana has an impeccable aptitude for taking what sounds “so Japanese” and translating it nicely into a less breathy and fluid delivery. Madoka’s range isn’t very demanding and is kept at a reasonable medium-high, which is just spot-on for Nana. It doesn’t help that working with Nana has always proved to be a blast, for lack of better wording.

    Choshiro Kirishima :: The Pawt

One of the four main characters of Fatal Frame IV. Choushiro is a former police detective who rescued five kidnapped girls 10 years ago. He left the police force after being unable to let go of his work, and continued on his own to pursue murder suspect You Haibara. He returns to the island, at the request of Ruka Minazuki's mother, to bring her back home.
Choshiro was irritatingly difficult to cast for simply because this character just screams type-casting. It’s not to say I’m dissing on Katsuyuki Konishi’s performance, but the voice he uses for Choshiro is quite familiar, especially if you’ve watched plenty of anime. So, I buckled down and I said “well, it doesn’t have to be precise, so let’s go a different direction.” After a little contemplation, The Pawt simply came to mind. Right from the get-go, Johan garners a smooth disposition and to the point where it comes off cool. When you hear his voice, you can immediately tell he is profound in that medium-low field. That’s what immediately drew me to Johan. Choshiro is forward, but you can feel safe with this guy and given Konishi’s performance, there’s a clear template for a variety of emotions. I think Johan would have a lot of fun with this character, to be honest.

    CLAYMORE

In a world rife with deadly creatures called "youma", a young silver eyed woman, Clare, works on behalf of an organization that trains female youma halfbreeds into warriors with the ability to destroy these creatures. Considered a rogue for picking up a stray child & almost losing herself to her youma side by "Awakening", she is constantly assigned rather dangerous missions...

    CLARE
    ichigoxcupcakes

Clare is the protagonist of Claymore. She is the only known Claymore to have taken in the flesh and blood of a fellow Claymore to become one, rather than taking in the flesh and blood of a Yoma, making her a quarter-Yoma, as opposed to half-Yoma like other warriors. As such, she was given the rank No. 47. Despite this, she shows great ability when fighting Yoma and Awakened Beings.

At first I was thinking that Clare needed a strong, powerful voice to match her personality, but then I realized as I was watching the series, in my opinion, she actually suits a much softer approach. I love Nana's lower range since it still has a soft edge to it and I think she would do very well with voicing Clare and she would enjoy using her lower range. It would also be a nice little challenge for her because it would be a treat to hear some battle cries and some full on cursing from our oh so lovely, innocent and sweet little Nana...

    TERESA
    fairuza

Teresa was Claymore No. 1 of the 77th generation of Claymores, and is the 182nd warrior to be created by the Organization. She is known to be one of the eight most powerful No.1 Claymores of all time, and possibly even the strongest warrior the Organization has ever produced. She was known as "Teresa of the Faint Smile" for the faintest of smiles that graced her face as she effortlessly slaughtered yoma. Her power was so great that she rarely had to use even ten percent of her Yoki.

As soon as Teresa came into the series, I instantly heard Danielle's voice. I just know that she would be able to voice Teresa even with her own, natural speaking voice and she would instantly warm to the role and enjoy it greatly. This really is a perfect role for Danielle, so I would absolutely love to hear her as Teresa one day.

    PRISCILLA
    Cydonia

Priscilla was Claymore No. 2 of Teresa's generation and is currently the most powerful character in the series, surpassed only by Teresa. During her time as a Claymore, she possessed incredible potential as a warrior and like Teresa, was powerful enough to fight her opponents without using her yoma power. Intially, she was assigned to assassinate Teresa with the help of fellow single-digits Irene, Noel, and Sophia, but during the mission, she awakened and became one of the main antagonists of the series.

As soon as Priscilla came into the series, I instantly said 'yes'. It's going to sound weird, but I do get a Rei Ayanami vibe from her. Not just because she was voiced by Brina Palencia, either. She talks very monotone and her voice is kinda soft, but she can instantly lose it. I'd love to have a go at voicing her, plus voicing villains is always rather lovely.

    MIRIA
    Sapphire

Miria was Claymore No. 6 of Clare's generation. Her ability to move at frightening speeds, leaving after-images of herself in order to evade attacks and confuse her opponents, earned her the title "Phantom Miria".

Again, as soon as Miria entered the series, I thought of Sapphire. I've heard how stern Sapphire can be in her past roles, and I also know how genuine and caring she can sound as well, which is exactly what Miria is. I honestly can't think of anyone else other than Sapphire for this role.

    DENEVE
    dragonknighttara

Deneve is Claymore No. 15 of Clare's generation. Though she has partially awakened, she succeeded in reverting to her normal state. She possesses a calm and understanding personality, but can be a perfectionist. Her regeneration ability is superb, even for a defensive fighter, her skills are unique.

Deneve was pretty hard to cast, however when I thought about her various moments within the series, I knew I would have to cast someone who could, well, act, and not strain their voice in order to make it sound low and sexy. So then Natalie popped into my head since her natural speaking voice is a nice, medium-low tone which is perfect. She can portray emotion fantastically and that's what Deneve needs.

    HELEN
    Kauritsuo

Helen is Claymore No. 22 of Clare's generation. Helen is often hot tempered and aggressive. She can appear to be a troublemaker, as Deneve notes. She seems to have a large appetite for a Claymore and can often be seen eating an apple. She is also the only Claymore seen eating and drinking for pleasure.

I thought of Karley for Helen because it would be a great opportunity for her to act in a serious role, but she would still have fun at the same time since Helen has a somewhat almost preppy personality. I think Karley would have a lot of fun with that, and she wouldn't have to change her voice either, since her medium ranged natural voice would work very well for Helen.

    JEAN
    MissAck

Jean is Claymore No. 9 of Clare's generation. Jean is an offensive fighter. Her Drill Sword technique, based on storing energy by twisting her arm and releasing it in one burst, is said to be the most destructive and powerful attack among her generation. She is serious and strictly honorable.

Amanda was my first choice for Jean, since I know how well she can portray emotions. Also, like Karley, I would love to see Amanda in a much more serious role. Jean is a very hardheaded character, and in my opinion, is probably one of the best characters within Claymore. She is so driven to protect Clare, and I know that Amanda would be able to portray that well.

    RAKI
    Haruhost

Raki is a human boy whose family was eaten by Yoma and who was saved by Clare. He is allowed to follow her and is very close to her, wishing to be able to help her fight and protect her from Yoma. After the seven-year time skip, he is an accomplished swordsman.

Instant casting choice was Tim. He can portray weak and useless, but then he can portray noble and valiant in an instant. I'd love to hear Tim as Raki!
"Wishes can come true. But not if you just wait for miracles.
Miracles are things we make for ourselves. Here and now.
    "

Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon

Fragile Dreams is set in a
post-apocalyptic near future Earth. Almost all the world's population has vanished, and the cities have been left abandoned. The game drops the player in the worn shoes of Seto, a young boy. In the game's opening, Seto narrates how his "grandfather," an old man that he lived with, died at the end of the summer. He buries his grandfather in a small hole in front of their house, and from that moment on he became truly alone. Seto decided to set out in search for other survivors in the ruins of Tokyo, marking the beginning of the game's events.

    Seto :: ichigoxcupcakes

A fifteen-year-old boy. After the old man he lives with passes away, Seto travels alone searching for survivors like himself somewhere
in the world with his only clue being in the letter the old man left him.

I would love to test myself as a young male that isn't Shinchan (laughs) I haven't had many chances to play young males thus far voice acting wise.

    Ren :: MissAck

A silver-haired girl whom Seto first encounters sitting on a lurching steel frame, singing beneath the moonlight.
Walking in the ruins, playfully drawing large, cryptic drawings, looking for treasure, meeting with cats, Ren dreams of meeting another human.

I instantly heard Amanda's voice as Ren. She's mostly known for her "bossy" roles, but I would love to hear her as a lovely soft character (who is also homg cute)
Also she sings... so this lovely character would bring out another side of Amanda that we'd all love to hear! VOCALIST STYLE~ hehehe

    Sai :: Simbaga

The bodiless consciousness of an young woman wandering the ruins. Despite her friendly acquaintanceship (and soon friendship) with Seto,
she has a connection to what brought about humanity's demise.

Sai is such a playful spirit that I couldn't help but think of Simbaga~ I have yet to work with this classy lady and I hope that would change sooner or later (lol) Sai has the tendency to go from being playful to all out seriousness which I think Simbaga would play very well. And to mention have a lot of fun... I mean Sai loves cupcakes. Come on~ XD

    Crow :: Kauritsuo

An amnesiac boy. He refuses to despair, remaining cheerful, mischievous and straightforward.
In order to find his birthplace, he relys on only a single photo. Though he and Seto go on a rocky start, they soon become friends. .

Karley my sweet. I can't express how much I adore your voice. I would lovelove to test you as a young male, which I believe this would be your first time.. <3 I love to test people and I think this would be a great range plus~ At first he is very rude to Seto but then throughout the game becomes friendlier. I think this would be a great challenge for you.

    Personal Frame (P.F.) :: AmeKitsuneChan

A portable computer that Seto carries on his back and helps guide him. Having been alone for a long time, waiting for someone to come,
she was happy when Seto suddenly showed up. She loves having conversations more than anything else, and has a duty to serve Seto to her fullest.

Oh goodness, who else would I have guiding me? <3 I believe you would be able to pull off P.F. tone perfectly with your natural voice.

    Chiyo :: Cydonia

The bodiless consciousness of a little girl. She resides in an old hotel where Seto encounters Sai and refuses them entry to pass. She sets Seto out on a pointless scavenger hunt only to prove Seto truly trusted her selfish demands.

I knew instantly that I wanted Holly to play her, without a doubt in my mind!! I know this is a little bit of a type cast since she does have a "soft" voice >//< but regardless of that fact, she does test the main character with her selfish demands. : D So she's not

    The Merchant :: Seymour

A mysterious man who trades in various goods. Always merry, he collects lots of sparkling things to bring back to his sleeping princess.

What should I say about you... hmm... it's like this role was made for you...... hehe XD
    Sell me goodies please!
    Shin :: BigTUnit1
The antagonist, he is the AI version of a "genius scientist" whose brilliance has earned him envy from his colleagues.
He considers speech to be an inferior means of communication, and intends to wipe out the last remnants of humanity (Seto included) by means of a "project".

I've been wanting to hear him as a villain for quite sometime now~ By the way he speaks, and the his way of thinking Travis would pull this character off flawlessly. Just... don't doany experiments in real life, okay?

    Elemental Gelade

After a routine raid, the rookie sky pirate Coud finds a most unusual cargo in his mates' cargo hold: Ren, an "Edel Reid", a race prized by humans for granting special combat power to their partners through "Reacting". He quickly discovers, however, that Ren is even more prized than he expected. The pirate ship is visited by three members of the Edel Reid Complete Protection Agency "Arc Aire", who try to purchase her. When Coud refuses, the ship is suddenly attacked by a mysterious force, and Coud's captain charges him with Ren's protection.

    Coud Van Giruet

    Cast: Haruhost (self-cast)
Coud is the protagonist of the story. He is a fifteen year old member of the Red Lynx sky pirates who is not allowed to come on raids because he has difficulty flying a plane. He aspires to become the new captain of the pirates, and continue to become one of the greatest known Sky Pirates. Coud never had the chance to interact with females until he met Ren.

I've always enjoyed playing the young hero types. Coud has never interacted with girls before and deciding to protect Ren sets him on a path full of adventure as well as comedy as he learns what love is and more about himself as well.

    Reverie Metherlence

    Cast: ichigoxcupcakes
Reverie Metherlence, better known as Ren, is an Edel Raid and direct descendant of the Metherlence bloodline. She is also one of the Seven Glittering Jewels (or Shichiko-hoju), an Eden Raid line said to be the strongest. She recharges her powers by sleeping, which happens fairly often.

Nana has always had a knack for the quiet timid girls, someone like Ren who is together with Coud from the start would be great since she could also experience the different ways this character develops.

    Rowen

    Cast: Ryusuke
Rowen sometimes called just Ro by his friends, is a guardian of Arc Aile and Kuea's pleasure. He is occasionally tasked to assist with his senior in rank, Cisqua. He is a young blond-haired man that tends to dislike conflict. In contrast to the impulsive and somewhat outrageous Cisqua, Rowen is logical, polite, and considerate of others.

I think Rowen should have a nice mature voice without being too deep. Ryusuke has shown great acting and range in the past with roles like Sephiroth and Iron Man, so I know he would do a killer job!

    Kullweet "Kuea" Envatilia

    Cast: MissAck
Kuea is a rather young busty woman with a tan that seems to always love eating within any circumstances. It seems that Kuea has a greatly carefree attitude, and also seems to be rather caring to other Edel Raids. Kuea, like Ren, is also an Edel Raid, as shown when she regularly merges with Rowen.

Amanda has a strong personality and a natural tone that would fit easilly with Kuea, this was an easy choice.

    Cisqua

    Cast: Cydonia
Cisqua is the energetic and upbeat leader of one of Arc Aile's Edel Raid Complete Protection Association squads consisting of Rowen and Kuea. She is honest and passionate about her work, but only because of her desire to be promoted and her love for money.

Holly has always amused me with her different styles for different character types. Cisqua has a wild personality that won't take no for an answer, much like Holly so yeah....typecast? I think not.

Hokage Titan and I teamed up to do a dreamcast of:

    Bokurano

During a summer camp, 15 children, 8 males and 7 females, find a grotto by the sea. Deep within they discover working computers and some electronic equipment, and later the owner, a man called Kokopelli. Kokopelli claimed to be a programmer working on a brand new game, in which a large robot has to defend the Earth against alien invasions. He persuades the children to test the game and sign a contract. All but one of them signs, barely a moment later they mysteriously awaken on the shore believing what happened was just a dream.

    Kokopelli - Sarifus

HT: Right away when I heard Kokopelli's voice in episode one it screamed Sarifus to me. Kokopelli is that older yet somber character who has a heavy heart and a guilty-ridden conscience. I won't spoil why he does here, all of you will have to watch this wonderful series to figure out why. ;D Regardless Sarifus is has that perfect tone and texture for a guy like Kokopelli and I'd really like to see what he'd do with it.

Koemushi a.k.a. Dung Beetle - ThePawt

HT: Now this was a hard character to cast. Koemushi, as Amy and I like to refer to him, was the original incubator. He looks like a harmless plush toy but makes young girls AND boys sign a contract which will ultimately spell their doom. But unlike Kyubey this little guy has a big temper, is very sadistic, and won't hesitate to kill you. So we need someone who can sound young, snide, and playfully sadistic and I think The Pawt could handle this very well.

    Waku Takashi - Hokage Titan

AA: I couldn't not have this. Takashi is a character that oozes with energy and loudness and those are Pete's specialities when it comes to playing characters. He can play the confident, loud, happy-go-lucky characters with ease. Also, upon watching the series with him, I know for sure that he would have a great time playing Takashi.

    Masaru Kodaka - RBMFaust

AA: Faust has a certain texture to his voice that is similar to the original VA for Masaru. He can also pull off a young yet slightly matured tone if he pitched his natural tone down a little. Also, Masaru is a completely different character from what Faust is typecast as so I'm pretty sure that he'd have great fun playing the sadistic little bugger.

    Kako Isao - Akumaryu

HT: Even though this is a character that I don't necessarily like, you can't help but feel bad for him because he ends up going insane and dying before he even pilots Zearth. For Kako we need a guy who can handle all the different sides of Kako and be able to give each of these sides extra special care and that guy is Akumaryu.

    Chizuru Honda - alchemymini331

AA: Cassie has an almost identical vocal pitch and tone to the original VA for Chizuru. She can pull off a sweet, sugary tone whilst also coming across as mysterious and sad. This would all be fitting for Chizuru and I'm sure that Cassie would have no problems in making her a believeable and sympathetic character.

    Daiichi Yamura - BloodRedOath

HT: Daiichi was a pretty easy casting choice, we need someone who can sound young, yet a little deep, full of resolve and the will to fight to protect his family. BRO just comes to mind here especially after hearing playing characters like Ryohei from Hitman Reborn and Bon from Blue Exorcist, I can imagine a voice like either of those on Daiichi, and I believe in BRO's abilities so I'm sure he'd do well.

    Mako Nakarai - Luchia

AA: Luchia is great at pulling off a soft character without making her sound far too young. However, she can also add energy that gives the character that confident edge. Mako is a character who knows what she is after and, despite being bullied, is quite content, if a tad melancholic, and I think that Luchia would enjoy playing her. Also a bonus that Mako is a seamstress who likes to create outfits, just like Luchia.

    Kunihiko Moji - xSeo

AA: Probably a really common typecast on my end but Seo has that soft yet mature air when it comes to him playing characters. I am more than certain that he could make Moji sound his age but also give him that maturity that makes him seem intelligent, gentle and wise beyond his years.

    Maki Ano - AmyAnn

HT: This is a choice that I think just has to be made. Even though Amy is seen in a lot of cutesy roles around here on the boards, she can play those really determined tomboy characters with ease. Listening back to her role as Subaru Konoe I can easily hear Amy playing Maki. It's a little change of pace and I think, while watching the series with her, she'd really enjoy this role and I wouldn't prefer it any other way.

    Yousuke Kirie - McTricky

AA: Kirie is a very soft and sad sounding character, he doesn't have any loud moments in the entire time that he is on screen. McTricky, having done a number of quick lines for me, has shown me that he can do the more gentler voice and even his natural pitch is one that would fit Kirie. He would be able to make Kirie seem pitiful and weak but also giving him the strength he needs later on.

    Aiko Tokosumi - RachelMichelle

AA: Rachel has a very good range on her and, seeing Aiko, I knew that she looked like a character that Rachel could play with ease. Rachel can pull off a sweet, innocent tone but I know that she would easily be able to handle Aiko's breakdowns, too, as she has a great array of emotions.

    Misumi Tanaka - fairuza

HT: This was a no brainer, though Fairuza hasn't done much recently on the boards, I don't need a refresher to know that Uza can handle a mature, strong and independent woman with ease. Tanaka though seeming like an extra character at first grows into a large part of the story as she tries to protect and save the children from being killed and as you learn about her connection with Ushiro. Tanaka is a very respectable character so I'd like to see both the strong, military officer side and the softer, motherly side come out of Fairuza's performence as Tanaka.

    Takami Komoda - Cydonia

AA: We know that this is a typecast but, right away, Cydonia came to mind when watching Takami. Cydonia can pull off a gentle, caring yet regal tone with her voice that would fit Takami perfectly. Also, Takami's speaking pitch isn't too far off of Cydonia's natural one so it wouldn't be a bother for her when it came to that.

    Masamitsu Seki - TriPredRavage

HT: Introduced alongside Tanaka, Seki appeared as a seemingly unimportant extra character but he is a reoccuring and thoughtful Military officer, though he doesn't stray far from his orders like Tanaka he understands that he must help these kids at all costs. Seki in that deserves a voice that is strong, young, and dutiful, and I can't think of someone better then TriPredRavage. I'm more than certain he'd have fun with it.

    Kanji Yoshikawa - JCx

AA: Probably the most difficult for us to choose was Kanji. We wanted someone who could sound like an overly-confident yet comforting teenager without sounding too soft or too high. After seeing a new fandub that he had put up, HT and I both agreed that JCx would be able to pull this off fittingly. Also, having worked with him in the past, I'm sure he could also pull off Kanji's more aggressive side.

    Youko Machi - MissAck

AA: Upon first seeing her, Youko looks like a typecast for MissAck but there is alot more to her. She has the confident, curious girl attitude to begin with but becomes more mysterious and guilt-ridden as the series goes on. Knowing her as a person who excels in the energetic, confident girl roles, MissAck was an obvious choice and I know she can pull off Youko's change in personality as the series goes on and more information is given.

    Jun Ushiro - RavenHunter

HT: Now here's a guy who I think doesn't get enough love and attention for his abilities as a voice actor. I've known Raven for a little while and he really knows how to handle his string of sadistic characters. Ushiro is just a character I think Raven should play, if Raven were to take say his Izaya voice and make it sound younger with a bit more of a angsty and cold tone that warms up later on he'd be the perfect Ushiro.

    Kana Ushiro - pickle131

AA: Pickle, no doubt, is a star when it comes to the younger female roles. However, I had imagined Kana to have a cute, child tone whilst also having that bit of maturity there and Pickle has a fantastic range, her natural voice being close to what I imagined. She could make Kana adorable but give her that sense of responsibility.

So way back I did a D-C roster for Gen 5…how bout we go back a few gens c:

    KANTO GYM LEADERS DREAM-CAST
    Name: mugshots.png
Views: 498
Size: 17.4 KB

    Rock Gym: BROCK – Myself
Now with the names that will show up below, this will just seem like “OMGHETHINKSHE’SONPARWITHTHESEPEOPLE?!”, I’m not saying I am, but Brock has always been a character I enjoyed, and it would be an easier role to portray from his anime counterpart, Game Brock is more cocky and headstrong, and that’s certainly a character type I do decent on

    Water Gym: MISTY – Haushinka
Something about Haushin’s voice makes her a right match for Misty, it has that elegant smoothness (like water, hehe), but that tomboyish factor which is key for Misty’s character.

Electric Gym: LT. SURGE – Apatheria

I honestly couldn’t think of a better voice for Surge than Apa, that rough texture and fierce boom behind it is a great match for the electric master.

    Grass Gym: ERIKA – Erica
[NO. IT IS NOT BASED ON THAT]
Our lovely admin’s voice is great for the softie that is Erika, and I think she would certainly get in tune with her personality very well.

    Poison Gym: KOGA – BossTrigger

One of the finest qualities of Boss is that he can take a character and make it his own, and sell it. I think if I gave him the role of a poison mastering ex-assassin, he’d damn well give me something that would please my ears.

Fire Gym: BLAINE – D-Mac Double
Same case as Boss, D-Mac’s a master of character creation, and Blaine would be a great test to show just how well he can perform with a unique character and make it very enjoyable.

    Psychic Gym: SABRINA – Hnilmik

I always love seeing Hnilmik try out new character styles and pull off a great performance, I would fully trust giving a role like Sabrina to her to see just what she can send back to me.

Earth Gym: GIOVANNI – Motly Fool

My god, Motly is like the prime choice for the final leader, AND the head Honcho of Kanto’s terrorist organization, something about his voice and style is just right for Giovanni’s personality , Charismatic, Devious, and yet that sense of “I’m supporting you, even if you are my enemy” [mainly for the sake of a great opponent], I swear down the line I will write out something for Giovanni, and when I do, I know who I’m calling.

Same goes for the rest of the gym leaders~

    …OFF TO THE WRITING DESK!

Well, I'm in a Wakfu mood, so...here's my cast for the characters (just the important ones), minus the main characters. They'll be the same as Monotori's dub (Kamuro, Kage-Ichihachi, Andieluca, Menchi and myself), if I were to dub it myself, or at least I hope if that chance ever comes. Well, anywho. Spoiler alert for season 2.

    Adamaï
    S.J.

Adamaï is a little bit more mature his more mischievous brother. S.J's boy voice could go very well on Adamaï. She can be mature, but still maintain that youthful spirit.

    Grougaloragran
    MightyMouse

This was pretty much the easiest choice here. MightyMouse has a very rich deep voice that would go very well on Grouga. He quickly came to mind, since I've heard him portray characters like Auron from Final Fantasy X and Golbez from Final Fantasy IV. MightyMouse would deliver the wisdom and power Grouga needs. He's simply perfect for the role.

    Alibert
    TheCheetoBandito

Ailbert is Yugo's adoptive father, and the mayor at the town they live in. TheCheetoBandito would go naturally onto Alibert. He has a friendly tone that would go nicely on Alibert.

    Cleophee
    Andieluca/Rhaspody~Duskbane

Since Cleo is Eva's sis, she should have similar qualities as her sister's voice...only more tomboyish and more loose. If Andieluca made a few adjustments, she could be a good Cleo without the two sound like one girl talking to herself. Otherwise, Rhaspody~Duskbane has a naturally tomboyish voice and her voice is about the same level as Andieluca. Compared to her sister, she's much more rebellious and easy-going. And I could see Dusk pulling that off pretty well.

    Nox
    LordMegatronG1

The main villain of the first season. This was an easy choice, since...well, someone had already did the character before. And, what an excellent rendition it was! LordMegatronG1 has voiced Nox before and his rendition is pretty fun to listen to. He gives him a light sense of insanity and intelligence, which are appropriate for the character. It'd be interesting to see him tackle Nox's days as Noximilien Coxen. He certainly has the range for it.

    Remington & Grany
    True_Blue & Mrwest16

These pair of thieves are crafty, and they would do anything to get their way. But, as brothers (don't ask, I don't get it either, maybe they just respect each other that much), they do care for each other, so they do watch each others' backs. Remington needs a confident and laidback voice. And it just so happens, True_Blue can do that very well. Grany, more or less, has the same personality as Remington, only his voice is scratchier (since he is, in fact, a cat....thing). West has done some scratchy voices before, and he's done pretty sly characters pretty well and he'd work pretty well with TB.

    Rushu
    The Pawt

Rushu is the king of all Shushus that currently resides in a world parallel to the heroes'. He plans on finding a way to the living world, so the demons he rules over could keep on destroying. And for every big demonic villain is a big voice. ThePawt can do just that. A big, imposing voice.

    Quilby
    Max Slasher or Christian Sekhanan

This one stumped me. For the voice, he had to sound neutral, slightly whithered and full of wisdom. Then, Max Slasher came to mind. He's done some voices before that sound somewhat similar to the official French voice actor. It could be pretty interesting to see him tackle this. Christian Sekhanan is also another great choice for this character. His recent rendition of Ansem would go great with this character.

Kou Ichinomiya is what you would call a gifted and talented individual. He has gotten miraculous success in life just by following his family's most important creed: "Never be indebted to anyone else". To remind him of this, he always wears a tie with the phrase plastered in a pattern on it. However, when he falls off of the Arakawa Bridge trying to retrieve his missing pants (kids these days....*sigh*), and is saved by a mysterious girl named Nino, he finds himself indebted to her, and must pay her back by all means. Her request? "Become my Lover." Now, he must find a way to survive under the Bridge with its wacky and borderline insane inhabitants.

    Philsterman01 as Kou Ichinomiya

Why did I chose Philsterman01? He seems to have just the right leveled voice for Kou, and I can see him easily getting the feel of his character in general.

Kou is the future owner of the Ichinomiya corporation. He is 22 years old and a university student before living under the bridge. Throughout his life, he has been living under the family rule of never being indebted to anyone. After nearly drowning in the river, he started a relationship with his savior, Nino, because it was the only way to remove the debt of saving his life. He is named "Recruit" by the village chief, but the villagers usually call him "Ric" ("Riku") for short. If he becomes indebted to someone but cannot repay them, he'll start having an asthma attack. Even since he was little, he has received the best education, learning how to play multiple instruments and earning a black belt in karate. Kou took the option of staying in the "villa" rather than Nino's house when he moved into the village, not knowing that the "villa" was the empty top of a pillar under the bridge. He quickly remedies the situation by building himself a proper apartment at the location. His job in the village is to be the teacher for the village's children. Due to his upbringing and his sudden intrusion into life under the bridge, he is exasperated at the nonsensical happenings that the others would consider normal.

    Ilysabeth as Nino

I chose Ilysabeth due to having talked to her in skype chats, and I could honestly picture her playing Nino anyway. She has the attitude, as well as the voice type to boot.

A mysterious girl who lives in Arakawa. She is a self-claimed Venusian and later Kou's girlfriend. The origin of her name comes from the sweatsuit that she always wears that has the tag "Class 2-3" (Ni-no-san) on it. She is an incredible swimmer and can stay submerged for several minutes. With this skill, Nino commonly goes fishing in the river and it is her job in the village to provide fish for the residents. She often forgets important information and often needs Kou to remind her. Her home is constructed of cardboard, with the entrance sealed by a large curtain. Her lavish bed is made out of velvet, although she chooses to sleep in the drawer under the bed. If she becomes frightened or angry, she'll pull her sweatsuit over her head and climb on top of a streetlamp.

The Pawt as Village Chief Kappa

I chose The Pawt as the Village Chief Kappa because I've always imagined him having some sort of accent, and if anyone can do accents + a deep toned voice, it's Pawt.
The village chief is a self-proclaimed 620-year-old kappa (despite him obviously wearing a green kappa costume). As chief, anyone who wants to live in the village has to get his approval and have him give the person a new name. His face changes when he is running very fast, as shown in the village's annual race. It is unknown if he is faster than Shiro, since every year, he always loses interest in the race and drops out by default. Using the excuse of preparing for the trip to Venus, he tricked the villagers into building him a villa under the river. He seems to have some secret and is protecting Nino.

    SaigoSentinel as Hoshi/Starface

Eh, I'm self casting Starface because I've always enjoyed his character. He is capable of being the inconsiderate douche 90% of the time, but he has that 10% that is considerate. That is literally me, but flipped, and I think it would be cool to play that kind of character.
A 24-year-old singer and a self-proclaimed superstar. He is in love with Nino and is always jealous of Kou for their relationship. Under his star mask is a moon mask and under that is his real face, which has red hair. When he becomes depressed, he'll start calling himself a starfish. He likes to go to the nearby convenience store and buy cigarettes. Four years prior, he was a top-notch singer and supposedly constantly topped the Oricon charts. But he was bothered by the fact that he could never come up with his own songs. While battling with this feeling, he met Nino and realized that what he wanted was music that he created himself. His job is to provide music during special events in the village, but his songs' lyrics are mostly weird and complete nonsense. His name literally means "Star."

    Seymour as Sister

I chose Seymour as Sister because of his ability to do and maintain the smooth, un-wavering voice. I've pictured Sister having a sort of Shizuo Heiwajima styled voice, and it could probably be given justice by Seymour.
A strong man that dresses like a nun. Twenty-nine years old and British, Sister is a war veteran with an affinity for artillery and always has a gun with him. He has a scar on the right side of his face, whose origin is unknown. Every Sunday, he holds a mass that usually lasts only a few seconds in the church under the bridge. This involves having his congregation run to line up, firing his machine gun in the air, and asking if anyone did anything wrong. If he gets no response, the service ends and everyone present gets a bag of cookies. It is unknown what would happen if anyone has done something wrong. Strangely, while Sister is dressed as a Catholic sister, his church is adorned with an Orthodox cross. Under his robe is a military outfit from his days as a soldier. He may still believe himself to be in the middle of a war, as he lays down booby traps all the time and is shown to always be thinking in terms of military strategics. He is in love with Maria, whom he met during the last war he was in, whose insults are the only things that can unnerve him, causing his scar to open up. Surprisingly, he is good at making cookies and other sweets.

    Inukai as Whitey/Shiro

I chose Inukai for Shiro because of (if I remember correctly) his naturally kind styled tone. I think he could pull off Shiro due to the ability to sound genuine and kind. (cheesy, I know, but Shiro's not really a easy character to cast XD)
A cordial, 43-year old man who is obsessed with always stepping on a white line (since he believes he will have to marry a white cornish if he doesn't, something he fears above anything else), therefore he always walks around pushing a line painter so that he always has something white to walk on. According to him, he has had this obsession six years prior to the start of the series and has not seen his family since. His real name is Toru Shirai (白井 通?) and he used to be an office worker at a major corporation before he started living under the bridge. He does not have a job for the village though. He is married to a wife who understands his obsession and has a high school-aged daughter. Though usually polite with everyone in the village, he is shown to be fiercely competitive; he spends the entire year training for the village's annual race, because "it's the only time [he] gets the spotlight." It is hinted that he may be the strongest person in the village. During the village's Sumo Wrestling competition, Sister and Maria, both being war veterans and heavily experienced fighters, and the Chief, a self proclaimed kappa and the reigning master of Sumo Wrestling at the village, all forfeited when they saw Shiro obsessively chanting his determination to stay in the shikiri-sen, the two white lines at the centre of a Sumo wrestling ring. His name literally means "White."

    11Linda as The Metal Brothers

I chose 11Linda as the Metal Bros because of her ability to sound like a child, despite her unwillingness to. Plus, usually twins are cast to the same person, so there we go. XD
Tetsuo (鉄雄?) and Tetsuro (鉄郎?) are a pair of young boys in sailor suits who wear metal helmets. Like Hoshi, they are jealous of Kou's relationship with Nino. They are self-proclaimed espers, saying that they have psychic powers and that their helmets are so that they won't float away or be detected by the military, with the unfortunate side-effect of them being unable to use their powers. The only powers they have said they have so far are flight and the ability to travel through time and space. Their jobs are being in charge of the hot baths in the oil barrels.

    IchigoxCupcakes as P-ko

Call me cliche, but I think Nana can do P-ko. I can see her fulfilling her part to a maximum with the clumsy side of P-ko, as well as the lovestruck teenage part of P-ko.
A young red-haired girl who grows vegetables for the village. The epitome of a klutzy girl, she is literally dangerously clumsy, often turning what should be a simple accident into a massive disaster. Despite an allusion to mishaps, P-ko is still intent on getting a drivers license so that she can travel further during Winter to gather seeds. Kou is strongly against this and in their argument, he learns much to his horror that she already possesses a motorcycle license. It is implied she has a crush on the village chief.

    Cassie as Maria

Who did I think of when I thought of Cold, Malicious, Sarcastic, Maria? Cassie. None other.
Maria is a pink haired woman who runs a nearby farm where all the Arakawa residents get their dairy and produce from. While having a beautiful appearance, she casually passes out incredibly harsh insults to other people and is a sadist. She met Sister during the last war that they had and was an opposing spy that tried to get information from him.

    EileMonty as Stella

It's not only because she's from England. I know what you're thinking, and it's not the only reason. I think Eile can pull off stella, because I've always imagined Stella having a high voice, but purposely making it sound malicious and conniving, and I think that would be easy for Eile.

Stella is a little blonde girl from an orphanage in England that Sister ran. While initially thought to be small and cute, she is a powerful fighter and sometimes speaks in a threatening tone to show her superiority. When she is angry, she has the ability to turn into a giant and look extremely masculine, very closely resembling (and also often parodying) Raoh from Fist of the North Star. She has a crush on Sister, which made her hostile towards Maria.

Daglot Alta as Earth Defense Troop Captain

I heard Ian do a Piros voice from .Hack, and it won this role. Hands down.

A self-proclaimed defender of Earth who believes it is under threat from Venusians. He is actually a manga artist under the pen-name Potechi Kuwabara. He wanted to do sci-fi manga but was forced to draw moe manga by his editors.
