Ohai! Willow here again organising another mass project. Oh ma days, I’m trying to kill myself it would seem. Anyway, just a point, please read all the character information when auditioning for the one you want, thank you ^_^ I’ve known people not to do this, you see... And finally, the accents don’t have to be perfect. I've not been specific because I'm quite flexible about them.

    Name of the book:
    Froxen Blue
Length: 100,000 words, which is the length of an average novel; though it sounds a lot.

    Blurb

In a sci-fi setting not too dissimilar from Victorian England, groups of the oppressed working class have banded together under the name Froxen. It would seem their goal is not to overthrow state, but to live. Their goal is not to defeat all evil that arises, but to protect themselves and each other.
Nicknamed the Blue Boys, they have not failed yet, but new attachments to the group are threatening to tip their mismatched collaboration as the son of a prestigious inventor is entrusted to them for safe keeping.
But with broken Codes of Conduct and cyborg copies running around, who can you trust anymore?

    Author Note:
My inspiration - and the whole point of the story – is about never getting to truly know someone who is close to you.

How This Is Going To Work

This is a pretty big project, and requires commitment. We will pace ourselves, this isn't going to be super-speedy, and I will try to upload as we go along. Make me believe you are the characters when acting your lines. If I offer any suggestions, it's nothing personal – I just want this to be the best quality project it can be, and there's nothing wrong with a little critique to help you improve.
As everyone from the main cast has been chosen, the remaining extras will be cast first-come-first served. The deadline shall remain open until the places are filled. I reserve the right to close this thread and open a new one for extras.
I know there are a lot of parentheses on how the audition lines should be said. These aren't intended to be patronising, I know you can do your job. It's just that when I audition for things, I find it much easier to know how the lines are intended to sound. It's only meant to be helpful, not insulting

    Instructions
    Email all auditions to: willowitch@hotmail.co.uk
File format: Record auditions in either .mp3 or .wav format, and please send in a zip folder
Name Zip Folder: Froxen Blue_username (example: Froxen Blue_mooglephish)
    Name files: username_character (example: mooglephish_Spiridon)
Please record all the lines for one character onto the same track, don't worry about separating each audition line into a separate file. BUT, new file for each character please. If you'd like to send me a demo reel as well, I'd love to hear it, but it isn’t compulsory – I don’t mind either way.

Please make sure that you're using a decent quality microphone
    !

    Other Information
Nearly all of the characters will be using strong language throughout the project. It's nothing particularly shocking or distasteful, but please be aware that many characters will frequently use swear words.

    Chapter 1 - part two

The project has it's own website with all the work surrounding it set out: FroxenBlue.weebly.com
Not only that but FB has a blog designed to keep cast members and followers informed about updates and delays: The Mannix Press

I'd love to do this, but I'm a novice in voice acting, so I was wondering if i would qualify....

Why shouldn't you qualify? We all have to start somewhere! I'm sure very few people start out as anything other than novices on here haha~

This is probably a really daft question, but when you say London accent, what do you mean? Like a cockney accent, or more of a generic south east england accent?

No, no, that's perfectly sensible. I put London because I'm not worried about specifics. I would prefer the cockney-Londoner, but I didn't want to limit those thinking of auditioning ^_^

When you say there will be swears, will anyone drop the F bomb? I'm good with the others, but I have a strict no F bomb policy.

Also, can you give me an idea of the work load? Say, a rough estimate of the number of lines due a month?
