    EPISODE 01: "Flight Night"

In the skies above post-Apocalyptic Europe, a millenial vendetta is about to be exacted.
The heart of Christendom, the Vatican, is embroiled in political turmoil between three siblings vying for power.
The twilight Empire, home of the vampiric Methuselah, is on the verge of war with the human population.
The glittering regalia of Albion is a testament to its diplomatic neutrality, yet there are dangerous revolutionary undercurrents beneath the otherwise-calm exterior.
And somewhere in the shadows lurks an organization bent on the destruction of humanity.
Three nations. Three bloodlines. Three destinies.
    Trinity Blood.

    --- INFORMATION ---
After what seems like years of working on this first episode, a lot of setbacks that were both expected and unexpected, and a pinch of good fortune, Episode 01 is complete. I'm so sorry that this took so long to be released. Future episodes should go so much quicker and better. This is my first full-episode dub, and I learned a lot of things in the process of mixing this project. It went through no less than four incarnations, but the final result was well worth the effort. Hopefully you'll stick with the series as we come out with future episodes. I can't wait to really dig deeper into this show. It's only going to get more exciting, I promise!

This episode marks a wrap-up for several voice actors. I would like to thank them for their dedication, and I would love to work with them again in future episodes once more roles open up after Episode 04! It was my pleasure to work with each of you:

    xdragonsgirl28x (RebirthofRosa) as "Jessica Lange"
    Raizuto as "Co-Pilot Orson"
    OmegaOptimusSupreme as "Alfred de Mainz"
    soclever as "Closing Narrator"

With that, I hope you enjoy the episode!

    --- WARNING ---
Trinity Blood contains animated violence, blood, and minor adult language. Watch at your own discretion. Thanks!

Your Trinity Blood Episode 1 was quite well done. Some moments I forgot I was watching a fandub. Now for the breakdown...

    Cast:

Abel Nightroad - Christian Sekhanan: Your voice was well suited for Father Nightroad. Though you could have done better with your emotions at some points but your voice works for Abel. Just work on emoting better and you will be perfect. Well Done. A-

Jessica Lange - Rebirth of Rosa: Quite cute and pretty voice you have. You worked Jessica pretty well but the way you said lines sometimes was bit off. Dispite this, you have added the right charm to the character. Good work. A

Alfred de Mainz - OmegaOptimusSupreme: A bit too rough but still quite a terror you added to it. Simple and to the point. Like it. Well Done. A

Caterina Sforza - JellybeanQueen2: Nice mature voice and fits very well....but you did sound low and muffled when saying your lines at times. Do try to be a little more louder next time. Good work though. B+

Pope Alessandro XVIII - baugusbryson: The only thing that bugged me about your lines was that you didn't sound that believeable. You just weren't panicked enough. Dispite this, your voice was very well-suited. Just be a little more of a worried wreck and we be great. Well Done. A

Francesco di Medici - The Pawt: Not much to say....You were spot-on. Excellent work. A+

Kate Scott - Subaru-camui: You fit Sister Kate to a T. Once again, not much to say. Excellent work. A+

Tres Iqus - ZenithE92: I must say that I really like your voice over the Dub. It was a small line but it really hit home with me. Excellent work. A+

    Crew:

Script - Tonberry King: Pretty straight forward episode. Nothing bad about that. A+

Mixing - Tonberry King: ...Not much to say......except it is on par with the dub. ^_^ S+

Overall: As I said before, Your Trinity Blood Episode 1 was quite well done. Some moments I forgot I was watching a fandub. The acting was top-notch. The presentation is on-par with the Dub. Excellent work. S+

DarkKnightGrave: Thanks so much for the thoughtful critique! I really appreciate it, and I'm sure the cast does as well. It's nice to know what to work on from an outside perspective. I'm flattered that the finished product is somewhere close to on-par with the original dub. That's such an awesome compliment.

As for my mixing and scripting, I'm working extra hard on Episode 02 to make sure the lip flaps match better. There are a few times in this episode where I was irked by extra lip flaps, although they were pretty minor most of the time. Line timing should also be better in the next episode. Some of the syncing was slightly off in these videos because I switched video sources shortly before rendering when I discovered higher quality video (like Tres' lines being early, for instance), but that shouldn't happen next time.

Anyway, thanks again! Glad you enjoyed it.

So I just viewed this episode and DarkKnightGrave basically sums up excellently my thoughts too. I COMPLETELY agree with the S+ grade for mixing! This was such an enjoyable dub (yep, forget the "fan" here) to watch. After I heard the SFX, mixing, music all working together brilliantly, I was extraordinarily impressed by the level of detail and care you put into it.

And I remembered viewing your VA/Producing goals. DEFINITELY keep producing, pl0x! ^^

This was pretty awesome. I must say my favorite scene was the battle on top of the air-ship. Can't wait to see more!

Thanks to the both of you for watching! It's always appreciated to know that folks are enjoying the end result.

JCx: Haha! I definitely plan to continue mixing far into the future. I've always considered myself a producer before an actor, so there's no worries that I won't continue doing what I love. I'm glad the experience was seamless for you.

MightMouse: I know, the fight scene atop the airship Tristan was the most fun to mix as well. If you go back and watch the original, you'll notice that I added a LOT of sounds that weren't there (the church bell, some of the wooshes, etc), but I think that's what gives my mixing a distinctive touch. I don't really seek to recreate the original so much as branch off from its foundations and give it my own twist. There are some excellent scenes coming up in Episode 02, so stick around (not that you have a choice, bwahahaha!).

I might've deserved less actually. XP it was my fault, i watched the episode first then read through the script then just did the emotions by memory. i'm guessing it would've been better if i recorded the lines with script and reference vid open at the same time so i can better get the lipsync and the appropriate emotions. i'll try that method in the next episode, if by then i'm still a bit lacking then help me find what else i need to do.

but still A- is very gracious of you. thanks.
