Dirksies First Demo Reel

Hi! So, after being semi-active around here for little over a year, I finally decided to put together a demo reel.

The sound effects are from Freesound.org and the OSTs are from Avatar the Last Airbender OST, Ouran Host Club OST, “Life is a Highway” Rascal Flatts, “So Close” Instrumental, Pokemon battle music and sound effect, and Tokyo Mew Mew OST.


I had a lot of fun mixing this, but it will probably be awhile before I do my next reel (that one took about all of the creativity I had). I definitely need to improve my range, but I would love to hear any feedback!

Well, I think you definitely have range. Where are you during all those auditions that need strong, mature women? Your voice sounds perfect for that!

Some of the lines could've used more energy; the 'I can take it' line sticks out especially. It sounds like you really don't care, not just the character. I'll try to listen again later, sorry I don't have much time right now!

Definitely a great start; maybe it was just me, but it was hard to hear the music.

Thank you very much! Yeah, I've had issues with my volume being too quiet in general. I just wanted to make sure my voice would be heard over the music, so I decided to err in the side of caution. Thank you for my first critique!

You can usually get someone's first name (usually only this much) from a google search, and I really prefer to refer to people by their first name.
