It is the year 0079 of the Universal Century. A half-century has passed since man began moving its burgeoning population into gigantic space colonies called "Sides" which orbit around the Earth.
Eleven months ago the cluster of colonies furthest from the Earth, called Side 3, proclaimed itself the Principality of Zeon and launched a war of independence against the Earth Federation. Now, nearly a year later, the war continues to rage on. Millions of lives has been sacrificed in the name of freedom, yet the war shows no sign of ending.
Now, off in Northern Africa, a dark soul creates a destructive weapon under the guise of bringing everlasting peace to the Earth Sphere. A special operations Zeon unit has been sent to find and capture the weapon-- or to destroy it outright-- but first they'll have to fight their way through the Earth Federation team that protects it, even if this Federation team really has no clue about what exactly they are defending.
What lies are being spread across the Earth Sphere? And who is behind them? Can the mystery be unraveled in time to save the lives of millions more?

Finally, after taking way too long on it, the first episode of this radio play is finished! I must admit that I'm rather embarrassed for taking so long to get this done... But hopefully it didn't come out too badly and might have been worth the wait. Though this was my first ever radio play/radio drama I am kind of proud of how it turned out.
There is a bit of a problem with the volume fluctuating slightly with some of the voices. I did the best I could with them but some of them were recorded at a lower volume setting; though I did crank the volume up on them as much as I could without distorting them-- even applied a few filters trying to squeeze out whatever I could. Heh. This was my own fault, I should have had a rule that regulated the volume the lines should have been recorded in. Live and learn.
I also need to work on where to split the piece for hosting on YouTube. At the end of part 1 and part 2 it cuts off suddenly and than continues with the next part. I apologize for that, but it was rather difficult to calculate where exactly I should cut them...
This radio play can be listened to in one of two ways. Firstly, there's the standard MP3 which I've hosted at MediaFire. It was too big for Box.net so it will have to be downloaded-- sorry.
The second option is to "watch" the radio play on YouTube with the "YouTube exclusive version". This version, exclusive to YouTube as the title implies, features the same radio play as the standard MP3 but includes bonus features shown as video that contains character biographies, mobile suit data, locations, and other such things. (Note: there may be a few spelling errors I missed in the biographies.)
