I feel like the only role I can play safely is the calm guy

Well, according to my VA teacher, I tend to get very breathy whenever I try to talk louder or yell. It's not something I'm used to doing.
Also, I talk very fast normally, so I have to constantly remind myself whenever I speak to a microphone to slow the heck down.

I'd imagine his laugh would sound like Jimmy Carr's laugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlgkeLjryRU Does it?
Sometimes losing your natural accent can be hard. What does annoy me is listening back to it and you aren't sure if that's your accent still in there or if that's just your natural infliction.

It'd have to be the whole getting angry part. I mean, I normally play young highpitched girly girls and all. You know, I always play someone happy. But when the character has to get upset. I mean, not sad or frestrated but angry. Its sooo hard for me to sound angry. Because its something I'm not really used to doing in a happy highpitched voice.

My accent is what I have difficulty with most. I do not have the same accent as those around me, even though I have lived here all my life. And it seems to absorb other accents and form into some strange accent that cannot be placed anywhere in my country. I have an English accent, but it is partly Americanized, and also affected by different regions of my country. I'm also not generally good at voice acting but its the accent I feel that lets me down most.

Hmm - it will have to be 'mastering' different voices for me. You know, using different pitches, accents, tones, resonance etc etc to come up with something original and unique. I can do accents easily but when it comes to differing my voice from how it usually sounds...Yeah, that would be my weakest point. xD /hope I worded that right, haha.

    Current Roles-
Prima Donna - Breath of Life

A few things....screaming, for one. I don't actually scream in real life, I just gasp when I get freaked out. Then there's accents....I'm so American! I just have trouble doing a convincing British or anything else kind of accent, although I have been casted for a few accented parts. And, cough, perhaps most embarrassing of all....THE SEXY VOICES. I've been told I can pull it off, but when I do it or play it back to myself, I get extreeeeeemely embarrassed by it, and it's like "Why would I talk like that?!?!?!" Sigh...I just don't do sexy.

I'd have to say... screaming. I do not understand how to scream o_o Screaming in RL is so not done.
Another's pitch consistency when I go for them higher pitch or lower pitch voices. I guess I just need to work on it ;D
Certain noises in a different pitch can get hard as well. I also have issues with laughing. It's really hard to do a convincing laugh.
Especially if you can't find anything funny. Evil laughs. I can't. I get very very closed off and shy before I do anything. >_>
But yeah. I recently figured out how to do sexyyy. So heyyy ;D
