To my cast, thanks for being so patient with this. I've been wanting to do this clip for a long time, and I'm absolutely thrilled with how it's turned out. So, "thank you" to each and every one of you for helping me make this happen.

Before I forget to mention this, Part B will contain a spoiler.

    Credits
Scripted & Mixed by Dark Rose Inc.
    BGM: X OST
SFX: original clip, soundsnap, sounddogs, and of course, VAA SFX Lib

    Cast (in order of appearance)
    Yuto Kigai: Matt Alan
    Karen Kasumi: crystal
    Seiichiro Aoki: Apatheria
    Satsuki Yatoji: Damaru
    Kanoe: fairuza
    Train announcer: Mindychan

    Full length: 11:08

    part A // STREAM || part B // STREAM

Picture quality was detracted from a bit, so I'll try to get a HQ download up soon. The full clip is a pretty large file because I hate to sacrifice quality, but anyone would like it in-tact, drop me a line.

Crits/comments welcome. ^^ Thanks for watching!

Hmmm... the board's changed a bit. *waves cane* Would anyone be able to tell me how to just link to the video? I don't think it can embed the way Youtube does (which I tried already, but it blocked it ).

I just want a link that says "stream here" or something that takes you to the Daily Motion page. Otherwise, the thread will keep trying to load, and that's no fun for anyone.

    Thanks in advance!

Yeah, Dailymotion can't embed the same way anymore it seems. You can fix that by going to "Edit" then "advanced" and in the opitions turn off the auto embed links.

X! *love* I love it so far, my only nitpick is the pronunciation of Satsuki's name (shouldn't it be "sahts-ki" instead of "sat-suki"?). But yeah, it's awesome to see more X fandubs around here and I can't wait to see the rest.^^

Whoops. XD Totally blame that on me, Jellybean. At least they flub it up consistently?

FINALLY. I'm so excited. =D Part B is up and running. This has sure come a long way since the days of the epic X 1999 radio play. Wow. O_O

This was overall alot of fun to watch the mixing was great in terms of sfxs all around and the casting decisions were all very appropriate.

However two things bothered me. One the voices were far too quiet and 2 the lip flaps were pretty flakey (though ignorable xD)

    And for the cast critique

Yuto- You were awesome, I think the quietness of your lines kinda took away from your performance but I still thought you played out every line with good character. Really no complaints what so ever awesome job~

Karen- I thought your voice was great for the character but some of the more projected lines seemed a bit stiff and lacking in power but all the quieter ones were well played! I think the only other complaint is when she crosses up with yuto before she burns him, that line of dialogue seemed kinda cocky and doesn't really fit her character to me but thats really getting stupid nitpicky and it really doesn't detract, excellent job~

Seiichiro- Didn't expect to see you play this role apatheria but you did a nice job with him~ I think the lines when he was talking on the train with yuto were kinda...Idk they lacked that proper well mannered businessman feel and seemed soft spoken instead (but good job capturing his lighter tone). I thought the emotional lines were all very well delivered though and if I have one more minor nitpick its that one of his retorts to Yuto seemed a bit...well same as with karen, cocky sounding in which I think Seiichiro just always sounds strong and serious no matter who he's talking to. Ok maybe I'm just being silly I still enjoyed your performance and you definately have gotten much better good job my friend~

Satsuki- Not a whole lot of lines but really it was well played and acted overall, really not much to say but excellent work as always~

Kanoe- Same as damaru, not alot of lines fairuza but as always your very strong with all your roles, good job~

Train announcer- I thought you were damaru lol, you two have similar voice tones I guess. Small line but it fit in well indeed.

Oh wow! This was really great!! :3 Critique time!

Yuto / Matt Alan: I was surprised at how young you made Yuto sound; I'll admit that I wasn't too sure about this choice but his Japanese voice actor makes me think he has nasal congestion so... I very much prefer your take. ;D Besides, your acting was enough to really make this character an interesting standout. Playful, smooth, taunting, polite, and sadistic--it's all there and you acted out this suave sunnovabeech well. XD Really liked the subtlety you put in there, and nice death screams too. XD Good job.

Karen / Crystal: Absolutely lovely. <3 You truly captured her soft but determined attitude well. Really I don't have many complaints here. Maybe one thing I would say is the choice of direction with some of the lines. For example, "It's not like that at all between us"--although I really liked the tone--sounded a bit breezier than it should've. But really, that's just a small nitpick on my part. Overall you definitely gave Karen the ladylike character she embodies!

Aoki / Apatheria: Wooh! You played this role well. I was very convinced that you were playing the part of an unassuming, modest businessman; your tone was very mature and robust. The screaming was excellent, though it kind of caught me off guard when the transition was made from his louder lines to his lines of concern. Still, very nice job.

Kanoe / Fairuza: Not much to gather from, but she sounds as sexy and elegant as she looks! Good work.

Train Announcer / Mindychan: That sounded very authentic, and the effects only made it better!

The pronunciation of the names was a little strange, including Satsuki, Aoki, and the way I said Yuto was weird I noticed (@_@) but nothing major that detracted from the clip. Some of the lipflaps didn't fit quite properly, but again, those are just little nitpicks of mine as well.

Mixing: Very well done for the most part! All of the sound effects were well blended and appropriate (maybe the footsteps at a couple points sounded off but that was it). However, I noticed audio imbalances. Some of the ambience and sound effects drowned out character dialogue, which was unfortunate because I was straining to hear what they were saying (particularly when Yuto was talking in the whirlpool and when Karen was weak and dying). Perhaps equalizing next time would help in evening out the volume of everyone's lines.

As a whole, this was an exciting clip! I was glad to be a part of it. I hope to see more from you and I'm sure I will!
