Description - I'm working on a Firefly Audio Story. Plain and simple. I believe that the series should not have ended so abruptly as it has. I found scripts for the episodes that were supposed to air if the series did not end. It would help if you watched/are a fan of the series.
The series is set in the year 2517, after the arrival of humans in a new star system, and follows the adventures of the renegade crew of Serenity, a "Firefly-class" spaceship. The show explores the lives of people who fought on the losing side of a civil war who now make a living on the outskirts of the society, as part of the pioneer culture that exists on the fringes of their star system. In addition, it is a future where the only two surviving superpowers, the United States and China, fused to form the central federal government, called the Alliance, resulting in the fusion of the two cultures as well.

MALES
Name: Malcolm Reynolds, "Mal"
Age: mid 40s
Description: Was a sergeant of the Browncoats against the Alliance. After the war was over and the Alliance victory, he has since then been captain of the Serenity looking for any and all jobs to make some money.
Voice: Somewhat medium. Has a slight western accent to it.
Line 1: We are not gonna die. You know why? Because we are so... very... pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die. Huh? Look at that chiseled jaw!
Line 2: Is it bad that what she said made perfect sense to me?
*Mal tends to swear. In English and in Chinese. Chinese accent not needed. Preferred to not have it.
Name: Hoban Washburne, “Wash”
Age: about mid- to late 30s
Description: Pilot of Serenity. Married to first mate, Zoe Washburne. A laid-back guy with a dry and occasionally laconic sense of humor, Wash tends to represent the pragmatic, cut-and-run opinion in any shipboard debate, and often serves as the calming influence in heated arguments. His actions sometimes appear cowardly (or at least less than heroic), but Wash has proven his resolve and willingness to put himself in harm's way and do violence on behalf of his friends on many occasions.
Voice: Medium/high. No accent preferred
Line 1: Yes... yes. This is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... This Land.
Line 2: I am a leaf on the wind; watch how I soar.
Name: Sheppard Derrial Book
Age: around the 60s
Description: A "shepherd", or preacher, who provides frequent spiritual advice and perspectives for the crew of Serenity. He appears to be some sort of Christian. He has a mysterious past, and on numerous occasions has demonstrated a depth of knowledge in a number of fields in which one would not expect a clergyman to be familiar: including space travel, firearms, hand-to-hand combat, and criminal activity.
Voice: low
Line 1: If you take sexual advantage of her, you're going to burn in a very special level of Hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.
Line 2: I am a Shepherd. Folks like a man of God.
Name: Jayne Cobb
Age: about 30-40
Description: A physically imposing mercenary previously uninvolved with the Unification War. Despite his comparatively brutish manner, Jayne regularly displays cunning and common sense. Though generally acting brutish and simple, occasionally he hints at a more complex and sensitive character.
Voice: Low. A little gruff sounding.
Line 1: You know what the chain of command is? It’s the chain I go get and beat you with until you understand who’s ruttin’ command here.
Line 2: Any one you walk away from, right? Long as those crates aren't empty, I call this a win.
Name: Simon Tam
Age: mid 20s
Description: He gave up his life as a trauma surgeon at Osiris, and becoming a fugitive onboard the ship Serenity after rescuing his sister, River Tam from an Alliance academy. He now serves as the medic for Serenity and shows an interest in Kaylee Frye.
Voice: Medium. He is very proper, as he is from a rich family.
Line 1: I'm trying to put this as delicately as I can...how do I know you won't kill me in my sleep?
Line 2: I'm very sorry if she tipped off anyone about your cunningly concealed herd of cows.
FEMALES
Name: Zoe Washburne
Age: early 30’s
Description: Born February 15, 2484, "Vesselside"(aboard a spaceship), Zoe served in the Unification War under Sergeant Malcolm Reynolds and continues under his command on his spaceship, Serenity. A loyal second-in-command and a tough, deadly fighter, Zoe is the only member of Mal's crew to regularly call him "sir" and take orders as if receiving them from a superior officer. Zoë married Serenity's pilot Wash sometime after he joined the crew.
Voice: Medium/low
Line 1: Proximity alert. We must be comin' up on something.
Line 2: Captain, everyone should have a chance to congratulate you on your day of bliss.
Name: Kaywinnit Lee Frye, “Kaylee”
Age: early 20s
Description: Kaylee has exceptional mechanical aptitude, despite her lack of formal training, and serves as ship's mechanic on Serenity. Kaylee is considered by the crew to be exceptionally sweet and chipper, the type who maintains a bright and positive attitude even when others are feeling low. She shows an infatuation with Simon Tam.
Voice: medium/high
Line 1: Looks like it was made with you know… longing. Made by a person the really longed to see a swan.
Line 2: You like ships. You don't seem to be lookin' at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.
Name: Inara Serra
Age: mid 20s
Description: Inara, born in the late 25th century on Sihnon, is a Companion, a high-society courtesan licensed by the Union of Allied Planets (the "Alliance"). In Alliance society, Companions are part of the social elite, often accompanying the wealthy and powerful. They have considerable ritual and ceremony surrounding their services, which appear to extend beyond sex to nurturing psychological and emotional well-being.
Voice: Medium/high
Line 1: I like watching the game. As with other situations, the key seems to be giving Jayne a heavy stick and standing back.
Line 2: I don't suppose you'd find it up to the standards of your outings. More conversation, and somewhat less... petty theft and getting hit with pool cues.
Name: River Tam
Age: late teens/early 20s
Description: River is the teenage sister of Dr. Simon Tam, both of whom take refuge aboard Serenity. She was considered a child prodigy from a very young age, intelligent beyond her years and athletically gifted. River, when she is calm and normal, appears to be quite pleasant, nice and sweet. Both Mal and Kaylee have taken note of this. She gets along well with Shepherd Book, as demonstrated in "Jaynestown". In the first excerpt of the R.Tam sessions we might have made the observation that this was her original personality. However, probably as a consequence of being experimented on and hence partly damaged, she is often a bit odd, occasionally making inappropriate comments and throwing tantrums
Voice: Medium/high. Her voice is very soft and she is shy at times. She's a bit more crazy.
Line 1: But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. You found me broken. It's hard for you. [breaking] You gave up everything you had.
Line 2: It's been a big day, what with the abduction, and all.
