    Path of Radiance

    Fandub Auditions

Fire Emblem! There are few series associated with the Nintendo name that have such a riveting story and deep characters. In my opinion, Path of Radiance exemplifies the epitome of the series’ brilliant character design, which makes it the perfect material to make a fandub out of. The tales: harrowing. The adventures: epic in every sense of the word!

But, despite its brilliance, there are surprisingly few people who know of Fire Emblem, and even less who have played it. Most people only know of it through Super Smash Bros., which featured Marth, Roy, and more recently, Ike. Well, Marth and Roy aren’t in this game. Ike, however, is the main character of Path of Radiance. Path of Radiance is the ninth installment of the series and the first and only game in the series to be featured on the Gamecube. The series as a whole is a tactical, turn based RPG in which the player controls a small army in a campaign against, in this installment, everything from bandits to pirates to the King of Daein, Ashnard.

I’ve noticed that some people have tried to dub this in the past. They did a spectacular job, in both voicing and the technical stuff. Even if I’m new meat, I’m going to give it my all so that this gets done and gets done well.

And good grief, it seems as though just when I get ready to post this, fifteen other Fire Emblem dubs show up! It's really great to see Fire Emblem get some love, but it makes me feel like I'm a little late to the party. ._.

    Main Plot Summary
The story focuses on the Greil Mercenaries, a group that includes our hero, Ike, and several other characters, ranging from secondary to tertiary roles. They live in the countryside of the Kingdom of Crimea, on the continent of Tellius. Their simple life of mercenary work is shattered when the Kingdom of Daein to the northeast launches an unexpected and terrible offensive against their home kingdom, Crimea. After stumbling across the princess of Crimea purely by chance, the mercenaries are plunged headfirst into the brutal total war with Daein.

Through chance, they find Elincia, the heir to the Crimean throne. They agree to assist her, and must flee from Daein long enough to secure a way to save Crimea. Along the way, they learn of the laguz, shape-shifting beast men and Tellius’ sinister past.

    Dub Information
Given the length of the game, thirty chapters, I will divide up the dubbing into four parts by plot events. There are tons and tons of supporting characters, so it’s a lot better to take it this way, lest people begin to get overwhelmed. I’ll cast new characters at the beginning of each new ‘season’, so to speak.
    Prologue – Chapter 7
    Chapter 8 – 17
    Chapter 18 – 23
    Chapter 24 – Epilogue

I’ll also be playing on hard mode, which alters the script slightly from Normal or Easy mode. Additionally, there are several characters who have minor roles in early chapters, then become very important in later chapters. For example, Nasir appears once in Chapter 3, but then becomes of key plot importance in the latter half of the game. I’ll make note of that on characters like this.

Also, while the spoken word is very important, you should be prepared to make grunts and groans for battle. Additionally, while most of the dialogue is just text and still scenes, there are a few cutscenes in the game. This means, oh joy, timing lip flaps, hooray! Characters who have to worry about this are Ike, Elincia, Greil, and Mist. The Black Knight somewhat counts, as he appears in one of those scenes, but since he has a face-obscuring helmet on, only the scene’s timing matters, not the mouth’s movement. For the most part, however, timing isn’t important, as all the non-cutscene lines are in text boxes.

Finally, please, please be punctual with your lines. Ike and the main characters especially, as they often have a vast amount of lines to record in some chapters. This isn’t so much an issue in the early chapters, but becomes of much greater import as the plot progresses.

    Recording Information
Make your recordings in 44100hz 16-bit Stereo MP3. No other sound files formats will be accepted.
Audition lines should be sent in separate files labeled “[charactername]_[username]_[linenumber]”. For example, volke_joethebrave0_1.
Sound files should then be zipped. ZIP files should be labeled uniformly by “[username]_FEPOR_[charactername]”. Included in the zipped file should also be a .doc or .txt (preferable) with your VAA username, how you would like to be credited, should you get the part, and your contact information.
ZIP files should be emailed to Joethebrave0@gmail.com.
The email should be titled Path of Radiance Auditions
Critiques may be given on request. I might throw in my two cents on a whim, too.
Remember, good sound quality is just another point in your favor. On the other side of that coin, poor sound quality is far more than just a single point against you.

    Other Notes
Critiques may be given on request. I might throw in my two cents on a whim, too.
DO NOT audition for this if you can't commit to this! This project will be very long. I can't do this without you, and if you back out, then this project is dead in the water.
If people audition for a role and no one provides a suitable voice, I hold the right to scout. I'm putting this out here now so there are no hurt feelings later, got it?

    DEADLINE: AUGUST 16TH , 11:59 PM PST

A few notes on important pronunciations so that there aren’t any inconsistencies:
    Gallia: GAH-lee-uh
    Laguz: LAH-gooz
    Beorc: bee-ORK
    Crimea: CRY-me-uh
    Daein: DAY-in
Begnion: BEN-yawn (That 'gnion' part. French pronunciation, yay.)
Phoenicis: fee-NYE-sis (It’s a constellation in the real world, actually.)
    Serenes: SEH-rehn-ess
Greil: GRAY-ull (Like Grail. Holy Grail.)
Rhys: REES (Like Reese, but spelled differently.)
    Shinon: SHEE-nawn
Gatrie: GAT-tree (Gat pronounced like cat.)
    Titania: tie-TAN-yuh
    Marcia: MAR-shuh (NOT Mar-see-uh!)
    Petrine: peh-TREEN

I don’t think there’s any other pronunciations that are too bad. Ask if you’re unsure, though.

Also, one more thing, this is about the people making this dub. I’m bridging two groups here, so I’m really only a co-producer. It comes with its ups and downs. There’s a group of people who had this idea, but were shorthanded. They’ve gotten a few voices already, but we’re missing some necessary voices. So I’ve come to request your participation and your voice to make this project the best it can be. So, because of that, there are a few parts that just aren’t available, unless I need to recast them at a later date.

Get it? Got it? Good. Now that the business is out of the way, let’s get on to the fun stuff.

THE FIRST WAVE OF CASTING; PROLOGUE – CHAPTER 7

EVERYONE is expected to record at least one attacking grunt/yell and one pained reaction. The more we have to choose from, the better. Record it as Line 4, or Line 3, depending on how many other lines the character has.

    Main Male Characters

Generally, I won’t put notes on how a line should be emotionally delivered. I feel that that’s up to the voice actor. However, there are a few circumstances where a quote lacks context and something like that may be needed.

    Ike
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/fe9illust/l/Ike.jpg
    The main character.
Already cast by Co-Producer. I'm sorry, I know that a lot of people would have liked to try for this role, but I can't change this decision.

    Greil
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...st/l/Greil.jpg
Greil is Ike’s father, and a bold, courageous leader with a just heart. He puts his mercenary work in the front of his mind, but his mysterious past is quick to catch up with him. He has many lines in the first part, but has no lines past the end of Chapter 7.
Vocal Range: Deep; he’s a grown man of at least forty years.
Line 1: I like your resolve, Ike. But it takes more than a strong will to... [Boyd enters] Hm?”
Line 2: “Sit down, Ike. We haven't had a chance to speak yet. Titania told me what happened while I was gone... About the kidnappings. About my own men disobeying Titania's direct orders.”
Line 3: [Dying] “Forget about revenge... Leave that knight alone... Stay away. Stay with the king of Gallia... Live here. Live in peace. I need you to take care of everything... The company... Mist...”

    Soren
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...st/l/Soren.jpg
Soren is the tactician of the Greil Mercenaries, and a very pessimistic teen. He’s one of Ike’s closest friends, having known him since childhood, and is a wind mage with huge potential.
Vocal Range: Medium; he’s no older than Ike.
Line 1: “You forced this combat. We cannot allow you to return home. Are you ready to die?”
Line 2: “It was brutal and without warning. Daein laid the capital to waste. I've never seen destruction on this scale before.”
Line 3: “Valor and courage are for children's tales. In terms of military prowess, Daein's King Ashnard is every bit Lord Renning's equal. Victory will hinge on troop numbers and supplies, and Daein is superior in both. I think the outcome is painfully obvious.”

    The Black Knight
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...k_Knight_1.jpg
The Black Knight is the enigmatic pursuer of Ike and Greil, and one of Mad King Ashnard’s most trusted generals. His true identity is unknown.
Vocal Range: mid-low; in truth, he is about thirty years old. A vocal effect will be applied. I would recommend that you don't make his voice growly or gravelly. He should sound fairly refined. 'Casually' evil, so to speak.
Line 1: “I’ve been waiting for this a long time. I would prefer it if you used your proper weapon so that I might see you at your full strength, General Gawain, Rider of Daein.
Line 2: [A little surprised and confused] “Is that… all there is? No challenge? No resistance?”
Line 3: “Ha. You, who knows better than any what it truly is, threw it away? Surely you can craft a more plausible lie. You're not even trying anymore.”

    Nasir
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...st/l/Nasir.jpg
Nasir has but one part in the first part, but becomes very important later on. He is a mysterious man who helps Ike and company across their journey, but Soren has his suspicions of him. He is one of the laguz.
Vocal Range: Medium-low; he appears to be in his thirties.
Line 1: “It might help you if you run into trouble contending with the pirates. But do hurry. I came all this way to see the world-famous fish market, and I'll never do so with those ruffians around. Best of luck to you.”
Line 2: [Trying to convince Daein soldiers] “My ship is a simple merchant vessel, sailing under the flag of the Begnion Empire. If I present such documentation, surely it will prove I have no ties whatsoever with Crimea.”

    Supporting Male Cast

    Rolf
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/fe9illust/l/Rolf.jpg
Rolf is the youngest of three brothers. Boyd is the middle brother, and Oscar is both their senior. He acts as a young child would, and has variable moods throughout the story. His first appearance is being kidnapped. He mysteriously appears as a fighter in Chapter 9, wielding a bow without any prior training. At least, that’s what he says.
Vocal Range: High, he’s a young child, no older than twelve years old.
Line 1: “Oh...sniff... But...I'm so scared... Aren't you even a bit scared, Mist?”
Line 2: “I wasn't scared at all. Maybe I was a little nervous... But by the end, I was almost hitting my targets!”

    Boyd
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/fe9illust/l/Boyd.jpg
Boyd, the middle brother, is a cocky and overconfident friend of Ike’s. He considers himself superior to the new swordsman, but is really lighthearted and gives Ike guff just for the fun of it. He’s very zealous and always ready for action.
Vocal Range: Medium; he’s about Ike’s age.
Line 1: “It's nothing. Besides, I figured I'd get a good laugh watching Ike get worked over by the boss. [Looks at Ike] You...look fine. What happened?”
Line 2: “What are you two doing? So you're coming after all? It's not like you two chambermaids to be disobeying orders. What's the world coming to?”
Line 3: “What'd you say, dirtbag!?”

    Oscar
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...st/l/Oscar.jpg
    Unfortunately, already cast.

    Shinon
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...t/l/Shinon.jpg
A sarcastic, cynical, ill-tempered, but masterful archer. He will follow any order of Greil’s, but despises Ike. He is closest to Gatrie out of all the mercenaries. He leaves after Chapter 7, but reappears in Chapter 18.
Vocal Range: Medium; he’s in his thirties.
Line 1: “Don't you children owe me a little gratitude? I did just save your lives.”
Line 2: “Haven't changed a bit, have you? You're still a mouthy piece of work. Listen up! Daein's a great place to work right now. The pay's great, and strength at arms is the only thing that determines class standing. You want to join me?”
Line 3: [Drunk] “Screw you! You always get everything! Don't you ever want to give up anything? Nooooo! Not big important mister Ike! You've always been like this! You act like you're not interested in something, then you swoop in and... STEAL IT AWAY!”

    Gatrie
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...t/l/Gatrie.jpg
A cheerful, powerful armor knight with a soft spot for the ladies. He is best friends with Shinon. Leaves after Chapter 7, but reappears in Chapter 13.
Vocal Range: Medium-low; he’s probably in his twenties.
I intend to self cast this part, but auditions are still open. I’m not the kind of director who will always pick my voice over someone else’s. If I genuinely like your audition more than mine, you’ll get the part.
Line 1: “Deputy Commander... Shinon... hah... hah... You're both so cruel. With this armor on, you know I can't run that fast...”
Line 2: “Hmmm. She's a tough one to swoon. I'll just have to pour it on even thicker! There's no way I'm going to let such a gorgeous girl slip away!”
Line 3: “Yeah! I crash into 'em like thunder, and Shinon rains arrows down on 'em like lightning!”

    Rhys
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/fe9illust/l/Rhys.jpg
Rhys is a calm priest in the service of the Greil Mercenaries. He saved Deputy Commander Titania’s life once, and she’s repaid the debt many times over. He is prone to sickness, and has been out of commission for several weeks before the beginning of the game.
Vocal Range: Medium; he’s a young man and is generally very calm.
Line 1: “It's Mist and Rolf... They... They've been taken by bandits!”
Line 2: “Ike? Well, I'm not the person to be judging another's battle skills, so I guess you want to know my take of the man... Ike... Well, despite his appearance... and the occasional angry outburst... he can be very thoughtful. Most importantly, he has doggedness, determination, and grit. He possesses the strength to turn ideal into reality. I think he is the right choice to lead the Greil Mercenaries.”

    Ranulf
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...t/l/Ranulf.jpg
Ranulf is one of the laguz, a race of demihumans who possess some animal features in their bipedal form, but can transform into fearsome beasts and terrible fighters. He is of the beast tribe, a cat. In addition to the cats and tigers of the Gallian beast tribe, there are the hawks and ravens of the two bird tribes, Phoenicis and Kilvas, respectively. There are also the mysterious dragons of Goldoa. Ranulf is a cheery, optimistic cat. He is close to King Caineghis of Gallia.
Vocal Range: Medium/Medium-High; while laguz live much longer than humans, his age is about equivalent to a twenty-year-old man.
Line 1: “Attention, Daein soldiers! Leave this place at once! If you do not comply immediately, you will face Gallia's full strength!”
Line 2: “We did not know what to think when this group of beorc came tramping through Gallian fields... Imagine our surprise to learn that one of them is Princess Elincia. Now, that was a shock. Two days ago, Daein proclaimed their conquest. We thought Crimea's royals had all been killed.”

    Main Female Cast

    Mist
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/fe9illust/l/Mist.jpg
Unfortunately, already cast by my co-producer.

    Titania
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f.../l/Titania.jpg
Titania is the deputy commander of the Greil Mercenaries. She acts as a sort of mother figure to most of the younger mercenaries. She has a stern side, but is kind to most. She once served as a Royal Knight of Crimea. She often berates Soren for his pessimism.
    Vocal Range: Medium-low; she’s near Greil’s age.
Line 1: “Crimea is the closest thing our company has to a homeland. The Crimean royal family and noble houses have been generous, providing us with many lucrative jobs. From a moral standpoint as well as a business one, it's in our best interest to help Crimea.”
Line 2: “Soren! Shinon! Stop this at once! This is no place for us to waste time bickering amongst ourselves!”
Line 3: “Commander...Greil... Why is this happening? Why is any of this happening? Why now? First, Crimea... And now you...”

    Elincia
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f.../l/Elincia.jpg
    Unfortunately, already cast as well.

    Petrine
[A non-VAA member is auditioning for this role!]
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f.../l/Petrine.jpg
General Petrine of Daein is a sadistic, battle hungry paladin. She wields an arcane lance and hunts the Greil Mercenaries with ruthless efficiency into Gallia. She is one of Daein’s Four Riders, their most esteemed generals, just like the Black Knight.
    Vocal Range: Medium-low; she’s about Titania’s age.
Line 1: “What? What did you just say? I think I must be hearing things. I thought you said, "They got away."
Line 2: “Dog's breath! I'm surrounded by worthless imbeciles.”
Line 3: “Mercenaries? Hah! What're they to me? Remember, I am General Petrine! No matter who I face, I have never failed, nor will I ever! Ha ha ha...”

    Ena
Image: [I apologize for the resolution of this one. Quality pictures of Ena are hard to come by.] http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...t/e/ena_en.png
Ena is like Nasir in terms of importance. She is General Petrine’s aide in the beginning of the game, but becomes vastly important in the final chapters.
Vocal Range: Medium; she speaks with calmness and clarity, as a tactician should, but with a slight lilt of disinterest.
Line 1: “...The Crimean capital, Melior, is already under King Ashanrd's control... The remnants of the Crimean army are neglible... Which means the only place left for the princess to turn is south, to the kingdom of Gallia.”
Line 2: “Prince of Serenes... You have no reason to be here. Do you wish to perish in this place?”
Line 3: “...I... I merely want to be near the one I love... He is...my everything. That is why I must defeat you, or...I...I...”

    Supporting Female Cast

    Marcia
    (Pronounced MAR-shuh.)
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/f...t/m/marcia.jpg
Marcia appears for a brief time in Chapter 3. She reappears and joins the fighting in Chapter 9. She is a very cheerful pegasus knight who uses funny language to express her disappointment and anger. She hunts for her ‘cheese-headed, good-for-nothing brother.’ She’s a little sweet on Ike.
Vocal Range: High; she’s a ditzy teenaged girl.
Line 1: “Hey! You! Boat monkey! You tricked me, didn't you?”
Line 2: “Oh, crackers! There's too many of them. I don't want to die here... Brother...this might be the end!”

    Mia
    Image: http://www.serenesforest.net/media/fe9illust/l/Mia.jpg
Mia is a mercenary swordfighter saved from Daein troops by Greil. She repays this debt by fighting for Ike in Chapter 7 and beyond. She’s a very cheerful girl and undyingly loyal to Ike and the company.
Vocal Range: Medium-high; she’s just a teenage girl, probably as old as Marcia.
Line 1: “Huh... You're taking on a whole Daein battalion with these numbers? Nice. That settles it then!”
Line 2: “All set! It doesn't matter how late I go to sleep, I'm always awake before the sun rises! I can leave whenever!”

    Extras, Bosses, and Generics
This section encompasses generic enemies, like faceless soldiers and bandits. It also covers minor bosses we face. To send in an audition for a generic, just record one or two of their generic lines. Keep in mind that you may not be chosen for the soldier that spoke that specific line. Bosses have more specific lines, however.

Bandits, as a rule of thumb, should be voiced roughly and uncouthly. They span the entire spectrum of vocal range, so it’s a fielder’s choice here.
Soldiers are normal people, they’re just in suits of armor. Their voices are variable as well, but keep it serious. Daein soldiers follow the motto of victory or death! Gallian soldiers are beast laguz, so they have a bit of a growl in their voice, things like that. Keep your subject in mind, always, and you’ll be fine!
Villagers all depend on who’s speaking. There are old men, young women, and more. I’ll call out for what I need when I need it.

    Soldier
Line 1: Reporting in, sir! The mercenaries have taken up arms and formed up in the bailey!
    Line 2: Noooo! P-please! I don’t want to die!

    Grandfather
Line 1: Huzzah! The Toha Vigilantes are here!
Line 2: You’ve nary a selfish bone among you. Well then, rest assured we’ll speak again if any problems arise.

    Young Woman
Line 1: Since these bandits took over, we can't even sleep at night.
Line 2: [Has seen a laguz] Ah! Eeeeeeek! Su-sub-human!!

    Man
Line 1: Here, take this weapon. We're farmers, not fighters. Maybe you'll get some use from it.
Line 2: Har har! If you want sub-humans hunted down, I'm your man!

    Bandits
Line 1: Which means...all you can do is watch while I gut this whiny brat like a fatling pig!
Line 2: They think they can buy a bunch of sellswords to chase us away. It ain't gonna work out how they wanted. All they get for their trouble is a bunch of ruined houses. Tear 'em down, boys! That'll teach 'em!

    Pirates
Line 1: Yar, that I do! There be nothing but honest pirates aboard this ship, missy.
Line 2: Horrid? Did ye say horrid? Yer scurvy brother was the horrid one!

    Gallians (Both Male and Female)
Line 1: Because my mother told me, "If you ever meet a beorc, play dead, and it will leave you be." It's not true, is it? Hsss! I knew it wasn't true!
Line 2: I'm a warrior of the beast tribe. Lord Ranulf spoke of you. Doubtless you have noticed that Fort Tatana has been taken by Daein forces. Watch your step around that bunch. There's a dangerous mage with them.

Generic Bandits: [No one’s signed up yet.]
Generic Soldiers: [No one’s signed up yet.]
Generic Citizens: [No one’s signed up yet.]

    Chapter 1
    [1 generic bandit]
[two generic villagers (one male voice, one female voice)]
    Boss: Zawana
    Image: http://www.feplanet.net/media/sprite...emy/zawana.png
Vocal Range: Mid-deep, gruff, and angry. Most bandits are like this.
Zawana Line: "What's going on out there? Is that some sort of army? Pah. A bunch of mercenaries looking for their next meal. The villagers must've hired 'em. Listen up, lads! Hurt 'em, and hurt 'em bad! We let this bunch live, and we'll have hordes of hired swords hounding us the rest of our days!"

    Chapter 2
    [1 generic bandit]
    Boss: Ikanau
    Image: http://www.feplanet.net/media/sprite...emy/ikanau.png
Vocal Range: Deep, gruff, and very pleased with his job. He has a burning hatred for Titania, “The Red-Haired Demoness.”
Ikanau Line: "So you came, did you, boys? Is it just you, then? You came alone? You seriously underestimate what we're capable of doing to you. Now, where's that snobby, red-haired wench you ride with? We got no problem with those brats. What we're after is a little revenge. We want the redhead and her pups. And that'd be you boys."

    Chapter 3
    [1 generic pirate]
    [1 generic old man]
    Boss: Havetti
    Image: http://www.feplanet.net/media/sprite...my/havetti.png
Vocal Range: Very Deep, but with a piratey flair. Perhaps think Barbossa from Pirates of the Caribbean? He’s a carefree, if exceedingly fat and ugly, pirate.
Havetti Line: "Arr, calm yerself, me hearty! After all, his darling sister's come to pay us a visit. What say ye work off yer brother's debt?"

    Chapter 4
    Boss: Maijin
    Image: http://www.feplanet.net/media/sprite...emy/maijin.png
Vocal Range: Medium. A haughty, proud knight in command of a Daein platoon. He’s the player’s first taste of the Daein army. He underestimates the mercenaries.
Maijin Line: "Grrr! Blasted mercenaries. They're better than I expected. Even so, they'll not prove a match for Daein's finest!"
Maijin Line 2: "Bah! You're nothing more than a bunch of ragtag sellswords. Who are you to oppose Daein!? You are so terribly ignorant of your position in this world."

    Chapter 5
    [several generic Daein soldiers]
    Boss: Dakova
    Image: http://www.feplanet.net/media/sprite...emy/dakova.png
Vocal Range: Deep and gruff, but refined, not like a bandit. Like over Daein generals, he severely underestimates the power of the Greil Mercenaries.
Dakova Line: "No... Princess Crimea is somewhere within that fort. If we use flaming arrows to try to smoke them out, we might bring the princess to harm. We've been told to do our best to deliver her alive and uninjured. It would be preferable if they were to come out of their own accord. If they do, slay all but the princess!"

    Chapter 6
    [1 generic Daein soldier]
    Boss: Emil
    Image: http://www.feplanet.net/media/sprite...enemy/emil.png
Vocal Range: Medium to Medium-high. He’s the first promoted unit you fight, and takes orders directly from General Petrine. He has an air of superiority about him.
Emil Line: "We've spotted the mercenaries! You there! Inform General Petrine at once! Request that she gather the troops!"
Emil Line 2: "What's this? They're not bad! Let's go, men! Hit those mercenary scum with everything you have!"

    Chapter 7
    [1 generic Daein soldier]
    Boss: Balmer
    Image: http://www.feplanet.net/media/sprite...emy/balmer.png
Vocal Range: Medium to Medium-high. Of all the minor bosses thus far, he’s probably the most conceited, since he wields magic, which is seriously a big deal.
Balmer Line: "Hmph. You wretches...You're not worthy of General Petrine's attention. I will roast your bones and present them to her as a trophy!"

Everything in this post is nonessential.
It’s basically just to shed a little more light on this dub’s production situation.

Another amateur voice actor—she’s Twilight-Princess-13, if it matters—from another website and forum contacted me about wanting to dub Path of Radiance. I love the Fire Emblem series, so I offered to help her with it by supplying a voice or two as well as recording the footage and lending a hand in producing the whole thing. She cast a few roles by herself already on a first-come, first-serve basis. I know how this site feels about that method of casting. Personally, I prefer auditions before casting, as well.

And since she needed more talent to even get this thing in the air, she asked me to look for some. A year or two ago, I saw one of JFM Media’s productions and was directed here. All the great visual and audio projects here really left an impression on me. I tried to get cast in a few things myself—mostly Higurashi related—but my god-awful mic stood in the way. I left and didn’t click my bookmark here for over a year.

But, when I heard that this project was in need of more voices, I decided I’d go for the best dang AVAs that I know of. I came back for a second go at this whole business and a burning desire to do one of my favorite video games justice, and I’m positive that you can!

And with that... Auditions are now open!
