**EDIT- Title of the SERIES is "Gotta be a Dream". Still need name for superhero team.**
Hello. I'd like to recruit voices for this original mini-series I'm creating. It's currently un-named, and a little undeveloped, but I want to think ahead.
I'll start with... introducing the plot then?
Like I said, it's slightly undeveloped.
This idea was actually a dream, but I fixed it up a little bit and made it shiny and stuff.
There's this albino girl named Blanca (All the character's names are correspondent to their costume colours, huurrrhurrhurhr aren't I clever <_>)
She's been living on the street for as long as she can remember, can't get a job (like she even wants one), and pretty much eats whatever the restaurants throw out. But she does have a cool ability. She can speak to animals.
Russ, a strange man in red, sees her speaking to her dog.
He quickly grabs her arm and drags her to an abandoned building.
She is reluctant, obviously.
Russ smiles a huge smile and grabs Blanca's shoulders.
"You're white, aren't you!"
Blanca rolls her eyes and says sarcastically, "Nooo, I'm black, moron. Can't you tell? Now back off!" She pushes him away.
"No, no! I mean you're the white one! You're the white member of our team!"
"Team?! What team? I don't play sports!"
"You... you totally don't get it."
Russ brings Blanca to meet the "team". A league of very stupid, lazy, selfish superheros that don't really do anything heroic. Their noble activities include eating potato chips, watching t.v., and playing video games. Somehow, they always end up doing something heroic for the city once in a while.
Their team includes a weird hippie in her own world who is so "not there" she can disappear into thin air, a man with multiple personalities who can shape-shift into any person of his choosing, and a hilarious, yet loud, telepathic chick.
They aren't heroic, they aren't noble, but they're pretty funny.
Now individual characters:
Blanca: The White One- Age: 17
There's no famous voice I can really compare her's to, so I'll describe it as best as a can. It's not a very girly voice at all... she's a vagabond, living on the streets, so she's no powderpuff. She's got a tomboyish voice. She's sarcastic and reluctant. That's all I can give ya... go crazy.
Girls only for this role please.
Russ (Russell): The Red One- Age: 19
In the dream I had, he was voiced by none other than Adam West. LOL.
So, if you can get kind of close to that, kudos. That's his ideal voice.
If not, he has a heroic sounding, cheesy kind of voice. It can be serious sounding when he needs it to be. The "hero" voice is pretty much an act.
Need a male to play this part. Needs to have a pretty deep voice.
Vi (Violet): The Purple One- Age: 21
In my dream, she was voiced by Wanda Sykes. Now, since Adam West and Wanda Sykes are hard to get for voice-acting, you guys need to help me out on this. If you can sound something like Wanda, try it. If you don't know who Adam or Wanda are (bless your heart...) youtube it!
Violet is witty and loud, so don't whisper into the microphone like a shy little girl. Kay! Girls only for this part please. Unless you're a guy that can do a good black girl voice...
Zammy (Vosgedzam): The Yellow One- Age: 15
Zammy has a preettyy interesting voice. She's a huge hippie and uses all the hippie lingo (Mannnn, totallly, peaaace, like woaah, far out, I'm not even all here maaaan, etc.) and she has sort of a deep voice, and slightly gravelly. It's hard for me to explain. She could be mistaken for a guy if she were talking on the phone. She has a pretty dumb, surfer dude laugh. It sounds something like "huh huh huh duuuude." Ermm.. ahem.
She speaks very slowly, and basically sounds like a stoner. lol...
Girls or guys for this part. Doesn't matter, as long as it sounds right.
Azul: The Blue One- Age: 20
Azul's voice, I haven't really thought about...
He's hispanic, so I was thinking a subtle spanish accent, but now I'm second-guessing myself. Part me also thinks of him as being quiet soft-spoken and having a very eloquent, polite voice that can change at any moment (because he has multiple personalities). Or it could be a mixture of both. I don't know. Surprise me if you want. Be creative on this one.
Remember, since he has different personalities with different tones of voices, you'll have to be willing to be a little flexible.
Lines:
Blanca- 1) Uhh... do you guys do anything productive?
2) My parents hauled butt when I was like 9, and now I gotta fend for myself. I pretty much eat whatever Super-Sammich throws out at the end of the day.
3) Barry, you sack of slobber, do you think I'm a push-over or just stupid?
Russ- 1) We fight for justice and peace! And salted potato chips!
2) Vi! Bring me my fancy hat! We're going to throw a celebration!
3) Poor Black... evil wrapped up in the body of an twelve year old. It brings a tear to my eye!
Vi- 1) Do I look like a maid to you?!
2) I don't think so, my albino super sister.
3) I get up at ten in the morning to see a red-masked moron watching cartoons in his underwear everyday. What a life. Girl, run. Run while you still can.
Zammy- 1) Woooahhh... you're hair's like... sooo white and stuff, it's like snow. *Laughs*
2) Like, duuuude, maan.... soooo not groovy.
3) I'm like the youngest maaan, but age is tootaally just a state of mind.
Azul- 1) Don't listen to him. He's actually just a lazy moron. Most of us are.
2) I HATE MY LIFE... Oh hello, I like your eyes. They're lovely.
3) Don't be weirded out if I forget your name. Some of my personalities are forgetful. Wait, your name is Ted, right?
