Pokemon the 3rd Movie Clip dub- Misty vs. Molly

Sooo I had this CRAZY idea the other day, since lately my fetish for pokemon has been arousing once more (lol soulsilver ftw <3). My friend and I watched Pokemon the 3rd movie this past week and my nostaligic sense was on once I saw this scene from the movie. It was one of my favorite scenes from the movie because of the INTENSE music jamming through it. And plus, it's been a while since I've dubbed anything...but barely have done any dubbing at all since I've joined here..>>;.

But that made me wanna dub this scene even more! xD And the process was fun! =) This clip was mainly done for fun and practice. I know there are a few kinks to clean up, but I would CERTAINLY loooove some feedback on what to improve. =3 Thanks and I hope you enjoy~!

All in all, I thought this wasn't bad. I haven't seen the third Pokemon movie since it was in theaters, so I'll critique this the best I can. (Also, SoulSilver is fantastic!)

Molly : Andieluca - I really liked your performance here, Andie! I can't remember how young Molly is supposed to be, but I felt like maybe she was supposed to sound a little younger than you sounded. But, that's actually a pretty minor complaint because I really liked your acting and I kinda thought with the way that Molly is acting in this clip the voice fit her attitude, if that makes any sense.

Misty : Michihari - As familiar as I was with the old series, your voice for Misty took me a minute to get used to, but that's due to my preconception of the character. There were a few moments where I felt you sounded a little too old, but it was something I got used to. It did sound like you dropped the 't' at the end of "I forgot," so just watch your diction. Otherwise, I thought your acting was strong through all of the spunky, and commanding lines. Nicely done.

Mixing - mixing was a little bit of a rollercoaster. Using the music, SFX, and Pokemon voices from the actual movie, there were moments where volume shot up and down depending on the situation. I think you could have also found some VAs who would have really liked to play the Pokemon voices, as well as Ash for his few little noises that I am assuming are supposed to be there at the beginning.

Overall - there's area for improvement, for sure, but I thought it was a really good attempt. You said you haven't done much dubbing since you've joined here, but I think this is a really good early display of what you can do. With some more practice, I'm sure you'll be throwing out great dubs in no time. I look forward to seeing more from you!

Not bad Michi! ^^ This clip was fun for me, despite recording it at such an odd time. Molly's voice was not a range I'm used to, but it was fun! And who doesn't want to shout "Go Mantine!" at 2am? It's great! haha.

As for your voice for Misty, I think you did a fine job with her. When the wave came, I wish you would've sounded more surprised?aghast?, something like that. But its just for that moment. The rest was good. ^^

The only thing that distracted me was the audio levels of background music and voices, moreorless, towards the end of the clip, as it kinda faded in and out. In the beginning, the crashing wave sound effect also seemed a bit late. (and my mic...ugh. sounds awful. I apologize Michi.) But I still think you did a fine job nonetheless!

This was awesomely fun to do. Thank you for the opportunity Michi! It was fun "battling" you! ^^

I love this clip too! Well, I love all things Misty XD but onto the critique!

The mixing was really good. I didn't notice at all that there were different voices edited into the clip because the mixing was so well done. and you're right, the music is rockin.

Molly's VA was perfect, had great energy and everything. Misty's VA had the perfect amount of energy, but to me, she just sounded too old for Misty. She sounded more like an 18 to 20 year old, when she is 14, so if you had raised the pitch of her voice I think it would have suited her voice more.

This clip was really well done! I hope you dub more pokébattles XD
