No, no way! Nobody has ever dubbed this before, shut up! Well, okay, this scene has been whored up so many times, but I've wanted to dub it since 2008. Since I'm done with one of my OVA's, I figured it'd be okay to start a new one-shot projecto. There were actually other episodes I liked, but dubbing those would mean casting more characters which I don't feel like doing.

This clip was okay, but I felt like Brooke's performance could have used a LOT more stabbing and Konata's needed more of that wooden 'Oh Makoto' staleness to it. Also, I think you could have used more accents; like Sekai could have used an Irish accent and maybe Makoto could have been Nigerian-Japanese with her inflections. Like, you guys, dialect diversity in fandubs is important?

Meh, not much to say. Voices were great. Didn't hear anything wrong there. I liked Sapphires singing. Awesome. Though I am jealous of the little girl diving into the dirty pillows. Hmmmm, I guess...nice clip!

Now that the quality is good and I've actually watched it...

Sapphire: Room reverb was PERFECT. Your singing worked frighteningly well with the scene and forgive me for ever having any doubts. I've gotten spoiled by how great your dubs are, but I was like dayum...this sounds so pro!

Kennidy: She actually felt like a person to me. Every lame-ass girl has always played her in this scene as static and boringly sweet, but you added a layer of decisiveness to her delivery so that I really was rooting for your character. I like strong girls.

Brooke: You and Konata sound so authentic and real, like actual teenage girls with passion and irrational thoughts as opposed to like, say, Wendee Lee (God bless her talented heart, but jeez). I've never felt bad for Sekai because she's so dumb, but I think this is the first time I've ever understood the reasoning and utter behind her actions.

LilSutah: I love you. My brother loves you. He was like, 'Kokoro 4 EVAH.'

This was great. I like A) hearing voices that I haven't really heard in this way before and B) that you commissioned an amazing musician (hat tip to Sari-cakes) to do justice to the music instead of repeating the same two measures over and over again. Congrats, peeps!
