[WSS] Vampire Knight Clips - Clip 02 UP!

Alright, so I've finally produced my first clip! It's a short one, but I wanted to try and make it easy on myself since this is my first time. It's about damn time I got this out, too. :B I'm still an amateur mixer, but I tried my best and I think I did pretty okay.

Check it out! And feedback would be most appreciated, especially considering this is the first thing I've put out as a producer. :3 So without further ado, Wolven Snow Studios' first prodction... Enjoy!

Clip 02 - Enemy of the Purebloods

Alrighty, so finally, after a few weeks, here is my second fandub and this one wasn't as simple as the first one and it was frustrating as hell altogether. The quality came out exactly the same as it looked in Sony Vegas... I couldn't fix that and it made me rage to keep rendering it over and over again, but it's finally done and up. Check it out. Feedback would be most appreciated, as I'm still learning the ropes with this mixing. XD

This wasn't bad for your first fan dub.

However, Hatty kind of sounded like she was reading. For me, they just didn't seem to fit. I don't know. It was like an awkward delivery or something. XD But it did get better as it went on.

I enjoyed this over all. Great job, you guys.

Really nice clip you guys.

I think you both fit your characters very nicely, but like Kennidy said, Hatty sounded more like she was reading her line at the start, but got more into towards the end.

Mixing was good. Music was maybe a tiny bit too loud, but thats just me XD

A rather nice short fandub to start off with Rahne~

Rahne AKA Zero, I don't usually watch vampire knight, but I do help on fandubs for it, and I gotta say you pull off one of the best Zero's, cause it's original, he sounds more stern, and dark than just anti-social, or gravely voice from what I hear most of the time

Hatty AKA Yuuki, I was a bit surprised this was Hatty at first, it's a voice style I never heard from her, and it was very well suited for Yuuki, I got chills at the ending line for the scene, nicely done Hatty~

Rahne your voice is so smexy! lol and I love Hatty as Yuuki but I must agree with Kennidy a little on the reading, but over all very good Great mixin

Alright, I gotta say nice job with your first time producing a clip dude, the mixing, yet small here was well done.



Zero Kiryu - Rahne - I like your performance here, your delivery and emotion were as to be expected. Though the "Arrogant pure blood who toys with humans" line could have a little more anger behind I believe, maybe . Still good job.

Yuki Cross - Hatty - Only thing to nitpick was the fact that, you did sound like your started off reading your line. The voice fit though so. Nice job.

When I watched this clip in Japanese, Yuki sounded almost monotone and even though she had a patronizing undertone, she still had the emotional range of a rock. I was trying to sound distant, but hey I guess that is y'all's opinion. Hopefully I'll do better next time. Thanks for the critiques, anyway.

There's such a thing as sounding "read" when being monotone, too. The delivery was very awkward for me. It didn't seem natural. When being monotone, and I know this doesn't make any sense, you still have to sound as if you're that character and not just reading from a script. (: We're all just trying to help. I understand that might've been her character at the time, but the acting for it did not fit, in my opinion.

The ending line was fine. However, the ending line differed in acting from the rest of your lines. The ending line comes off as more natural and not awkward, whilst the others do.

So regardless of her monotony or not, it still sounds like you're reading. For example, when Amanda Winn-Lee did her voice over for Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion, she doesn't sound read at all. She sounds like a quiet, monotonous character.
