So, while I said to myself, "Golly, I'm really not a singer, so y'know, I'll leave that to the people who actually can do that kind of thing, like, well" -- then I got cast for of all things, the 1st ending theme cover for Elina's Cardcaptor Sakura fandub XD;; And all hell broke loose.

    GROOVY! (TV-Size) by Tomoyo Ichijouji
    Stream / Download @ box[dot]net

This is actually a version I mixed for myself piecing together the karaoke full and the TV-size original tracks so I knew what it'd sound like; Elina will be using her own mix in her fandub.

As always, feedback is quite welcomed, though because this is like my very first song ever on here (or...anywhere, really), maybe be a little gentle? XD;; I'm kinda self-conscious about this as it is orz And actually, let me know on the mixing too? Cause I'd like to know if there's a better way to mix songs in the future =3

Your voice is so cute I almost exploded when I listened to this. The song sounds like it's a little out of your range, though. try putting more strength behind your high notes, and see if that helps. All in all, I think you did a great job of singing it (and being ridiculously cute while doing so). Did I mention that your voice sounds really cute?

As for mixing, what program are you using? The volume fluctuates randomly in some places, so I'm wondering if your recording/mixing program is automatically adjusting the input levels as you're singing. Or something.

Aww shucks ^////^ I'm so tickled you thought it was that cute! Yeah, actually this is a song I had to practice for a few weeks to iron out some of the higher notes, and even then it feels and sounds a bit strained. An octave lower it's even more obvious that this song doesn't quite fit in my range Funny thing is, people seem to note me for my *lower* range in VAing, yet singing at a higher range is more natural and flexible for me XP

I'm...using Audacity 8D;; Yeah, so I hear it's mainly good for recording and not mixing really. (I'm keeping an eye out for good freeware mixing software that isn't what Audacity would have already anyway...if you know of any I'd LURVE to hear) I manually tried to even out the sound levels by amplifying, but I guess I wasn't quite neat enough with it I...think you're supposed to use "Normalize" or "Equalize", but I've never really gotten those to work properly.

Your voice is so cute xD you fit the song well, you did great but I noticed on some of the transitions up you were flat for a moment but immediately fixed it.

Overall it was a great rendition and awesome mixing.

Thank you! =DDD Yeah, this was a difficult song for me to learn, and so it took me a while to work on even those transitional parts to make them sound decent. I'm glad that you liked it!

D'awww! Not going to lie, I 'aww-d' when I heard you start singing. You sounded so cute! There were some parts that sounded like you were straining your voice which of course is a no-no, but it wasn't overly noticeable. Great job. :3

Wow, I guess that must be the consensus with the voice cuteness 8D;; Thank you, golly, I really didn't know it sounded that cute. X3

Sigh...this is why singing isn't my forte. Either that or I just need a LOT more practice on it, because it seems like any of the highest or lowest notes in a song I end up straining my voice a little, which is weird because my *speaking* voice has a range of several octaves o_o;; I am working on it though (maybe I still need to find my most comfortable singing voice/range?), and I'm glad it didn't turn out too bad this time either. =D

Thank you again for the remarks!
