    More Elysium Project comic-doodle-things.

And this was too big to make my Profile Picture or sig. To resize it would lose the detail in the text. To make a new thread JUST for this and other "Look what I made for myself in Photoshop!" stuff would be kinda lame. I'll also add that the template I used was kinda poor-ish too. Manageable for someone who has the patience, but it needed improvement.

Lunar New Years was EXHAUSTING. I wanted to use it to be completely caught up with my school and recording work, but... Welp!

Anyways, I was creatively running into a brick wall and just happened to sketch some rooms from my great aunt's house since it coincidentally further inspired the setting for the screenplay I'm currently working on for class and I didn't have my camera with me.

As shown in the bottom half of the picture above, I tend to doodle/think in lines if I don't know what I want. Methinks it's a bad habit at times when I get stuck in that mode... Like when drawing the entire main cast (minus the antagonists) of the screenplay I'm working on.

For me, it's easier to develop a strong character after knowing what she or he looks like; If changes are necessary, I just modify the design and modifying is always easier than getting an idea down on paper for the first time. Very rarely have I created a strong-ish character without knowing what he or she looks like, but even then I have to go off of some defining features or I won't be able to "see a person".

The two main protagonists are kinda pissing me off at how I keep screwing up their appearances...

These two characters below finally got drawn properly-ish today. Dude on the left is still in the "lines" realm, but I think I'll figure him out eventually.

I'll be working on the treatment of the screenplay this weekend, on top of other HW assignments and lines I owe lots of (upset) people. Premise-wise, I got the green light in my class, but I'll have to flesh out the antagonists more if I don't want them to be lame and one-dimensional.

DAYUM I love your style! I love the confidence you have in your line throughout the later stuff! OH AND THE FLOW FFFFFF- Keep going and you'll be godlike one day! Also, I think a graphite pencil or an ink pen might compliment your style quite a lot : D. Inks and gouache would also be epic for colouring! <3333

XD It's so weird to look at my older stuff now, haha~

Lots of folks have been telling me to ditch or better use my ballpoint pen, so I probably should invest in using other tools/instruments/doohickeys!

o_o; Not sure what a gouache is, though...

I submitted my geography HW and got displeasing results, so I vented by art'ing/fleshing out one of the antagonists of my screeplay. Decided to try practicing expressions/facial structure some more while I was at it.

Kinda hit or miss in the structure department, admittedly.

I JUST finished recording for a ridiculously big-ish project and my brain was fried since I needed to start my screenplay's story from scratch to give it more structure and focus (since it was too episodic when it needed to be a feature). Doodling was done to stretch my brain and help me "see" my characters better. Namely the antagonists.

Also, don't ask about the title of the scene I wrote for Comedic Writing class. It's totally unrelated... To both the scene and the doodle I drew.

A long time ago, I doodled a Gengar in Tegaki and thought the lines where beautifully clean.

    They weren't.

So I played with Mr. Pen Tool and colored Sparkle-Butt the Gengar!
