..You mean Tamora Pierce...? XD
Yeah, I used to. 8'D I kind of stopped after a while though, due to the fact that I had switched schools and the new school's library (and the local ones) didn;t seem to have any of her stuff. o_o
I was very much into the Tamora Pierce books when i was in my early teens.
I've read her series:
The Song of the Lioness
The Immortals
Protector of the Small
Circle of Magic
Tricksters - First two books.
Pierce usually writes about strong willed girls growing up and into their powers or strengths in a chauvinistic world where women are suppose to be seen but not heard.
They usually have to fight hard and go through a lot of trials and hardships in order to gain the respect of their male peers. Alanna from The Song of the Lioness had to disguise herself as a boy (her twin brother) in order to be accepted as a page as female warriors are usually just the stuff of ancient legend. She had to go through the trials of being a squire and then finally a becoming knight just like any other man as well as put up with stuff women usually have to put up with in secret as she grew up.
They good coming of age books.
Any questions let me know

hey, i got a skype so if you need to talk you can find me there.
Let me just say, I love her works. Beautiful characters and a great story equal an equally great writer, ya know?
Ah, the Beka Cooper series. That is some good reading. I actually just finished reading Bloodhound again.

I read teh Song of the Lioness series last year. Tamora Pierce is a really good writer, I like her stories and her characters.
One beef I have with it though, is she makes the female leads a little too perfect, ya know? Like Alanna was perfect at every aspect of fighting, and every man she ran across desired her....just always bothered me. I haven't read the other books she's written though. I do kinda wanna read Wild Magic
Wild Magic is really good.
Well, I read the first three books of the Protect of the Small trilogy. Quick reading, but enjoyable. Started to get a little annoyed in the third book, for the same reason as ValkyrieCeles. Kel was just too... perky and perfect. Ugg. That's why I didn't bother finishing the series.
She's not bad, but not exactly deep writing. Good for a rainy day.
A 'lil too 'girl power' for me.
