So I figured I'd just post newer updates up here instead of the last post. Part 03 is FINALLY out. Sadly it's only a ten minute segment, but at least this is moving again. Again comments and critiques are always welcome just please be polite. Everything that's mentioned will be taken into consideration, and as we only have half of the movie recorded, will be worked up on for the second half. As for the audio mixing, I will be going back and adding to it and tweaking things for the final compilation of the movie. I'm probably already aware of most issues, but I tend to be an uber knit picker of my own work and if I kept knit picking I'd never release anything, aha. So! Here's to finally getting off of Part 03 after sitting on it for months, please enjoy!
Note: My video splitter wouldn't split the part exactly where I want it to. ( and because of the huge file size and not wanting to lag when I mix, I've broken the movie up into roughly ten minute segments) So a couple seconds of the previous scene will appear muted at the beginning of the third part. Pleaase ignore this for the segments as this will obviously not occur when the full movie is patched together. Thank you!
Just a bit of a heads up, in this fandub we are not trying to mimic the official english. As such, I have cast each VA based on my interpretation of the character, along with their own personal renditions. Constructive criticism is always encouraged, however no flaming. Sweat and blood has gone into this, it's okay if you don't like a specific voice, just don't be rude about it and at least appreciate the work that went into this. Also, a couple pronunciations have been changed to suit /my/ liking, such as Reno's name. If this bothers you I apologize in advance, but these are small creative choices I'm allowed as it's my production. Thank you and please enjoy! More will be on the way and this thread will be updated as it's released.
Also, I have listed the castlist at the bottom seeing how this is a full length movie and quite frankly it's going to be ridiculously huge. This list is in order of appearance and will be updated as the parts are released. Once the entire movie is complete I will release a singular non-stop download of the movie.
F A Q
I've been getting some questions on the mixing for this and if I do anything special to remove the vocals and music. I, remix everything from scratch. The only exceptions to these being is when there's no talking or music going on and I can just use those SFX. [such as movements, or the opening with Red XIII] However, I always layer over those that I do take. Such as the Motorcycle Fight Scene in Part 02 - everything was completely replaced SFX wise by me save for a singular motorcycle squeak and a skid. The SFX before hand where there is no talking/music were also ripped, however everything else was replaced. I hope that makes sense.
