This is a demo reel I made awhile back for Youtube and the Otaku Fan Dub Party on Ning. A few of you have already seen it but I thought I would get more feedback here considering there's more people here to critique me.

I also thought it was a good idea since very little of the stuff I've been casted for hasn't been released yet so more people should get to know my talents here. Try to ignore who the characters are and focus on listening to my voices, I meant to make the video into an Mp3 but Audacity doesn't seem to want to co-operate that way.

And yes, before you ask I know there are some parts where you can't here me in the intro but that isn't important anyway!

Hey break_the_age. Hari here. Anyways, it was good, but the music was too overpowering. So it was hard to hear what you were saying most of the time. Try turning the music down so people can hear you better. Also, the only thing that really bugged me was the mispronounciation of kaoru's name.

however, from what i could hear, you have very nice voices. ^_^

Yeah I understand what you mean about the music, you're not the first person to comment about that. I amped up the voices from the first version and sadly I lost all the raw data to turn the music down now, though oddly enough you're the only person that found the new version hard to hear, other than the intro of course.

And could you spell out how to pronounce Kaoru? I was just recently casted as Hikaru and I don't want to sound like an idiot mispronouncing my own brother's name! Haha!

Wow, you have plenty of deep tones and lovely lighter tones. There were instances where a few tones you used were nearly identical to one another on a few takes, though I could be wrong since I was just straining to hear.

Now, I don't know much about Naruto, so I can't really critique on your takes on any characters from that particular anime. But, what I heard seem to fit the characters profiles quite nicely. I can't say anything other than that.

Kyoya: Maybe just add a bit more of a rich texture to his voice (if you understand what I mean), otherwise the set tone was perfect. Just got to kind of draw out his personality more, I suppose.

Kaoru: The tone you used was a nice fit; I'm really fond of this take. Maybe just a bit whinier, sound more embarrassed and shy, however, overall... a nice decent fit.

Hikaru: I felt the voice you used was too deep and came on too strong, perhaps even a little rough- it sounded somewhat forced and unnatural. Your take was also missing something...

At any rate, this demo was impressive overall. I like what you're doing and I hope you keep it up! By the way, Duo Maxwell FTW!

For Kyouya I'll try to add that rich texture you were talking about, it'll probably be a nice touch since I got the role of him in a recent Fandub.

And I find it funny how you liked my Kaoru voice over my Hikaru voice since I was picked to be Hikaru but not Kaoru! lol! Ah it could be just a different opinion ^_^. But I do agree it could use some touching up, I think I might have it down to an art form by now, I'll have to see what the producer thinks of it later.

Thanks, It was a regretful decision but I basically compiled past auditions and did it that way, I caught this error ahead of time and attempted to convert the video into an Mp3 so no one would know the difference, course that failed so I had no choice.

Like I said, they were from past auditions. Now you might be thinking "That's lazy! And you're just making up excuses!" You're right! I was lazy, so you can expect more effort in the next reel, I'm actually a very good actor, that's just not a good example of them, so in retrospect... I screwed up.

lol nah I was just pointing out what I noticed. Though its good to see your so enthusiastic about doing better and I look forward to your next demo reel.
