Not a whole lot of you know me, and seeing as I was gone for a few months since I posted this thread, I'm not surprised. I'm the leader of a production group known as Midnight Sugar Productions, and you can check out our website here if you like!
Anyways, I'm writing this post to tell you about our second project, one that we started before we disappeared and we're starting back up again. It's a manga dub of the series, "Dengeki Daisy."
If you don't know what a manga dub is, go [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ku83jBlvZ1s"]here[/ame] to a great example by someone on the VAA!
In any case, I am looking for ASSISTANCE in the VIDEO DEPARTMENT for this production. While I can handle the audio mixing aspect, I have never created a manga dub before. I would like to have an opening and an ending.. while I'm sure I could just be lazy and use iMovie, I'd really like it to be spectacular. Some examples of what I like, in terms of animating manga:
The above link to a manga dub is so far my favorite example of a manga dub in terms of video. It has an animated kind of feel to it. I think that this would be the simplest of ways without being too boring. I could probably pull this off myself, but any assistance in photoshopping images, cropping images, or coloring/putting images together and actually animating would be great. If possible I would like to have a colorist color some images for opening/ending credits.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9cHTosv7KM&feature=channel_page"]HERE[/ame] is a great example of what I would LOVE for animation.. (a Parfait Tic MV), and [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YllmEzlzsaY&feature=channel_page"]HERE[/ame] is another great example (a DENGEKI DAISY MV). These are both manga mvs. Of course, these are awesome, but it doesn't have to be exactly like this.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this! I have most of the lines needed to begin mixing this production (though a few lesser roles may have to be recast at this point) and would like animation to start as soon as possible. To those of you who have previously read this forum, and who have agreed to help, I'll be contacting you soon with an email. I know we've been gone for a long time, but please don't give up on us! We're back and more willing than ever to work diligently with everyone to get this production done.
Sincerely,
-Bikki, MSP Director
P.S. I'll be updating this periodically with progress. Right now, mixing has begun and all of the opening and ending songs are finished, but I am still missing lines which may have to be recast entirely. Regardless, there's still work that can be done now, so let me know!
We are especially low on people to photoshop images and color them!
