[VN] Narcissu Side 2nd Demo

Instructions:

*) First download the file and extract the contents somewhere.
*) Open up the folder 'Narcissu 2 mini-demo'
*) Do NOT mess with ANYTHING in the folder.
*) Simply double-click on 'nanaC70e.exe' and enjoy!
*) If you want to change any settings (turn up BGM, fullscreen, etc.) then right click during the game and click on 'Configuration'.

Notes: The game does freeze at times for Vista users, but the VN is short enough that it doesn't really happen and it's not that bad for it to happen. Ironically I got



To listen to Nozo and Setsumi's conversation go to 'Product' > 'Bonus Stage' to view!

OK just finished it sounded really good

~xXLittleGurlXx~ your emotion was fantastic~! Although once in a while instead of sounding kinds depressed monotone it came out just kinda too emotionless for me but it was only one or two small lines and it was still great in general I thought you were soo perfect

ichigo_m: Your emotion was also sooo perfect I. I loved your performance soo much. Although I could hear some noise in the background that took away from one or two lines. I still loved the voice you used as her.

xSPADEofHEART: awwww sooo cute~! lol it took me a while to realize that I had to go to product to hear you lol i fail at directons... XD anyway maybe work on articulating your words...I do it to like make sure you say the whole words clearly with out sluring. You didnt do it much maybe once or twice but I just noticed when I was relistening to I thought id let you know. But it was extremley well acted and I loved your proformance

Mixing: If you call it that haha im not sure what it is called to put together a visual novel sound but it was great although Himeko's lines sometimes had alittle bit of background noise but besides that it was perfect~!

Im disapointed its soo short haha! I loved it! I hope you do another one of these soon Elly haha I wanna try to voice in it next time lol or atleast get to play another in english XD its soo cool hearing these with english voices~

First let me say for being the second VN I've ever actually read through (the first being Little busters XD) I was thoroughly impressed. I always thought VN's were boring but now I really enjoy them (=

Now onto my critique~



Setsumi: ~xXLittleGurlXx~: A few of your lines had click at the star or skips at the end which were kinda odd, but I really love your voice in this! Your mic seemed to have some fuzz that was kinda distracting, but nothing major~ The line about the sea seemed a little off~

Himeko: ichigo_m: I feel that my first few lines were in a diffrent pitch that all my other lines... my "okidoki" sounded weird... My mix was being all fuzzy on some lines which was really sucky (I guess it's time for a new mic XD)

Nozo: xSPADEofHEART: your second line was kinda mumbled, but it was super cute!!!! No real complaints other than that~

Overall that was really enjoy-able! Thank you! =D

Setsumi: ~xXLittleGurlXx~: The voice was a great fit, when I saw you got casted I know it was going to be a great fit. For your delivery and emotion, it was hard to tell the difference of it being emotionless, or monotone. It really wasn't noticeable, just me nit-picking, you still did a great job through the whole thing. Your lines did sometimes click or skip at the end, but I didn't mind, seeing how stuff could sound weird when put into a VN (I still want to know how you do VN dubs) Overall fantastic job! Just work on the delivery of emotionless versus monotone (at least that's what I believe the difference is...)

Himeko: ichigo_m: I noticed a few pitch shifting in a few lines, which kinda caught me off guard. For the most part when that didn't happen your voice fit very well. You definitly matched the emotion for each line perfectly, but the way you delieved a few of your lines didn't impress me too much. Delivery for a few lines just seemed unfitting or weird, but most of the time I was pretty impressed. I couldn't really notice background noise though XD. Overall pretty good performance, just work on consistency of the voice your using and the delivery (emotion was still nearly perfect =D)

Nozo: xSPADEofHEART: Man I thought I was going to die of the cuteness of voice! Guessing it's supposed to be a cute sounding character you hit the role spot on! Voice, delivery, and emotion were all very well done! A few iffy moments here and there, but it was a great performance (I think it's hard for me to nit-pick being the voice was too damn cute =P) Still a few lines could of sounded better but overall very nice job.

Mixing: Please teach me how to make a VN dub! XD I'm guessing it would be a lot of work, but it's still amazing! No complaints!

Overall: Everyone did an amazing job, perfect cast, perfect mixer, still wish it would go on (same with Little Busters =D) Also do you plan on making another VN dub SPADE? If so I hope to god there is a male audition list next time XD. Still, great kudos to the cast and xSPADEofHEART for mixing, you guys are awesome!

I definitely will be continuing Narcissu 2 and the original. Unfortunately there are no male actors, BUT I'm working on recoding the code for ONscripter in the original to make the protagonist voiced and he's male. Hopefully it works! I also plan on doing the Ever17 trial, which also has males, if the tools work properly. Once I pass my Japanese 2 test I'll try to start translating trials as well so I have more stuff to do.:3 Dubbing VNs is actually a lot more fun than fandubs!xDD I will make a tutorial one day for ONscripter based works.=)

WHAT!? NO!? IT QUIT? WTF? I FINISHED!! WHY AREN'T THERE SAVE POINTS IN THESE THINGS!! D<

Ahem...

Um...somehow the app closed when I hit the space bar, so I didn't get through all of it. However I believe I would've almost finished it. It felt like it was drawing to an end, so I did get to heard everybody's voices.

~xXLittlexGurlXx~ - It's because of your voice, that I'm getting soft xD However I don't think this performance was all about the cute voice. It was all about the emotion I believe, and I believe you hit them right for the most part. Very few lines fell short of emotion, but otherwise nice stuff.

Ichigo_M - At first I was confused when your voice came in. I was like: "Is this another VA? Or did ~xXLittlexGurlxX~'s voice get a tad deeper? O.o" In any case, this was also a great display of performance. Only nitpick is that some of your lines fell short in volume.

xSPADEofHEART - I'm assuming you are the sorta upbeat character, right? (Don't wanna get characters mixed up) I felt that your voice suit your character and you had some real energy in your performance. Some of your words were mispronounced. Particularly, "mend", I heard "mind [mih-nd]"

Still nice work implementing the voices in this demo. Can't say it doesn't peak my interest.
