Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Radio Play

Yep, Thats right. We are putting together a radio play of the DS game Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor cause no one else will. We have plenty of roles to be filled and we don't be discouraged if you get the part you want. Most likely we can still use you somewhere in the series. So get those auditions going.

Deadline is August 20

Just follow these simple rules:

• Voice must be clear and strong. No mumbles or screaming
• Don't read the lines, act out your part. It IS voice acting after all
• Lines for characters are provided for you at the bottom
• Send all Line in either MP3 or WAV format separately in the following format:
  Yourname_Charactername_Linenumber. Ex: Acearius_Naoya_01
• All lines must be in a Zip or Rar file in the following format: Yourname_DSTryouts. Ex: Acearius_DStryouts
• You do NOT have to have played the game to audition. We will be more than happy to fill you in once we cast.

MALE ROLES

MAIN CHARACTER/HIROKI "HIRO" FUJITA
Age: 17
Bio: The main character of the game and a second-year high school student. By using an altered Communication Player ("COMP", for short), originally a multi-functional device and modified by his cousin Naoya, he's able to form contracts with and employ demons. He rarely speaks, and is a bit spacey.
Voice Type: Medium, Medium-Low
Audition Line 1: "I see."
Audition Line 2: "Where's Naoya?"
Audition Line 3: "BALLIN'. I'LL DO IT."





ATSURO KIHARA

NAOYA
Age: 24
Bio: The protagonist's cousin. Since his parents died when he was very young, he was taken care of by the protagonist's family. He lived with them until last year, but nowadays lives by himself in Aoyama. He's the character who gave the protagonist the COMP with the installed "Demon Summoning Program". He's considered a genius programmer in his field.
Voice Type: Medium-Low, Low
Audition Line 1: "I've done nothing. The ancient common tongue summoned them. God's no friend of mine."
Audition Line 2: "Of course! What else could an older brother be?"
Audition Line 3: "Hahahaha! Just enjoy it, brother!"


EIJI "GIN" KAMIYA
Age: 25
Bio: Bartender and manager of the local live house, known as "Gin". Although he worries due to being unable to open shop after the power outage in Tokyo, he seems to enjoy the confusion at times. He used to date Aya, D-VA's keyboardist, before she went missing half a year ago. He's still searching for her.
Voice Range: Medium-Low, Low
Audition Line 1: "Just take your time. 'The language of song is boundless.' Do what your heart tells you..."
Audition Line 2: "Hey, squinty. Don't play dumb with me."
Audition Line 3: "Are those ears of yours for decoration? Guess you won't be needing them..."



KEISUKE TAKAGI
Age: 17
Bio: Atsuro's friend from middle school. Due to being a victim of bullying in high school (in which one bully had been a previous victim Keisuke had aided just moments before), he seems to have lost trust in people. After certain incidents in which people abuse altered COMPs to control demons, he goes into a fit of rage and decides to "judge" the "people who disrupt order"; this desire calls forth Yama, the judge of the underworld.
Voice Type: Medium, Medium-High
Audition Line 1: "My death clock hit 0 today... This will probably with my last battle..."
Audition Line 2: "People like you are trash! You get your lives saved, and then turn on your savior!"

YUZU TANIKAWA

AMANE KUZURYU
Age: 16
Bio: She's the daughter of the founder of a religious cult called the Shomonkai, and is always wearing a peculiar outfit. She has a mysterious aura about her.
Voice Type: Medium, Medium-High
Audition Line 1: "The Summoning Vessel is complete. Will you continue to lend us your strength?"
Audition Line 2: "I've found you, Wendigo. I won't let you get away this time."
Audition Line 3: "Oh, merciful master! Grant me strength!"




YOSHINO "HARU" HARUSAWA
Age: 20
Bio: The vocalist of the indie band D-VA, nicknamed Haru. She's able to summon demons by matching the rhythm of her songs with the sequencer handed down to her by the band's former keyboardist, Aya. She suffers, wondering if the demons appearing in Tokyo is her fault. Haru is a key factor in the "Neutral" ending of the game, where demons and angels no longer have any influence in the world. Using Haru's voice and Aya's sequencer, it is revealed that the first song Haru ever sang was, in fact, the song Aya used to bring demons into the world- the 'ancient common tongue'.
Voice Type: Medium-Low, Low
Audition Line 1: "Ha... I can't do this. What was Aya thinking when she gave me this song...?"
Audition Line 2: "Uh-oh... This seems pretty bad, Aya..."





MIDORI KOMAKI
Age: 15
Bio: A popular internet cosplay idol who calls herself "Dolly". She was in Tokyo for an event and couldn't get out due to the barricades. Eventually, she acquires a COMP and takes it upon herself to "rescue the innocent" out of a sense of justice. Her father constantly taught her to protect people and defend her beliefs, even if no one else does; as such, she constantly risks her life hunting demons, protecting people who misunderstand her due to the fact that she summons demons to protect them. She would've met a untimely death, if it wasn't for the Hero and his party stepping in to save her from a mob of humans marking her as a witch. Realizing the error of her ways, she joins with the party to see what real justice is. Refers to herself as "Magical Dolly" and behaves in a very mahou-shoujo manner.
Voice Type: Medium-High, High
Audition Line 1: "I'm Magical Dolly the Warrior of Love! My magical punishment strikes down all demons who do evil!"
Audition Line 2: "This isn't normal at all...! D-Daddy... Help me... *sob*"
Audition Line 3: "As long as you have love, you can stand up even if you get knocked down!"





MARI MOCHIZUKI
Age: 23
Bio: A young woman who was Atsuro's private tutor when he was still in middle school, she is currently in charge of an elementary school nursery. She's an old friend of Kaido's and had feelings for his brother. She hates the criminal of the "bloodless murders" and is searching for him. Mari becomes possessed (willingly) by the demon Kresnik, who is hunting Kudlak, the demon responsible for the bloodless murders; however, her bag, which contains an amnion necessary in defeating Kudlak, is stolen, and the Hero saves her from the ensuing chase. She always has a sleepy-eyed appearance and is greatly concerned for people in general because of her status as a nurse.
Voice Type: Medium, Medium-Low
Audition 1: "I'm Mari Mochizuki. Nice to meet you. I'm currently a nurse at an elementary school."
Audition 2: "You shall have your details later. As I said, just run while you can!"

Well, the Narrator is basically saying everyone's actions as if reading from a book. In this case, reading any narrative would work, if you really want to audition for the Narrator.
