To be honest I wasn't all about the VA thing until soon i began seeing voice actors showing what they can do as a singer, the ONLY person that pushed me into the idea of not just being a Voice Actor but a SINGER~ would be Cristina Vee. She told me how fun it was to be singing, i still urged to continue as a athlete... but soon she let me try and give it a try to sing in front of people. I never felt so great... soon she introduced me to this website, I guess now the process of me becoming a awesome Singer/Voice Actor is really tough... I gotta thank her alot. Till we meet again Cristina...

I never really watched English dubbed Anime but sometimes, it was the only way to go. First of all, Vic Mignogna REALLY inspired me. I recently met him at an Anime convention and wow, he is an amazing person! Another inspiration would prbbably be Greg Ayres. They're awesome and I love their work!

My crazy jerk of an acting professor.

Wasn't even a acting major course and he had us doing sitting/standing statues, masked Greek monologues, and writing one-man shows. The humiliation of my inability to peform on stage broke me out of my fear of public speaking. I hated that class, but I loved learning from that man.

I hope that glorious bastard burns in the most pleasurable circle of hell.

    Michelle Ruff.

I loved her voice so much in playing Rita Mordio that I used to repeat the lines with her.

I always liked pretending to be anime characters, so it's a dream job.

    Fandubbers actually inspired me.

When I was about 10 or 11, Vic Mignogna and Inuyasha started my interest in voice-acting. I had an Inuyasha DVD playing on my T.V. at night one day and grabbed a camera and recorded the screen. Then I would mute Kagome's voice every time she spoke and would say her lines XD. But that quickly died off.

When I was 15 or 16, I was on youtube looking at Shugo Chara videos and ran into a few fandubs and someone's audition made me decide to start voice-acting. In October 2010, I recorded my first fandub (Windows Movie Maker WOO) then started to audition for things.

I was inspired by a number of professional voice actors I had heard. Such as David Bateson, Peter Cullen, Steve Blume, and Crispin Freeman. They impressed me in the shows/games I enjoyed and just got me interested in VA in general.
I can't necessarily do similar voices to them (though I try lol), but they have certainly given me goals to try and aspire too.

A mix of myself, friends and fandubbers. I mess around with my voice all the time, winding up and weirding out my friends and work colleagues. A few impressions later I get a few compliments for it, albeit, I can only do good impressions if I don't think too hard about it. Then I saw a few fandubbed projects on YouTube and thought...you know what? I could do that. So here I am.

My biggest inspiration to want to venture into the voice acting world, was the first Voice Actor I ever met, Greg Ayres.
He was the sweetest guy ever, and I really am drawn to his voice and every role he plays. I aspire to be like him one
    day. He's basically my hero/idol.

Next to him is Tara Strong, her wide range of voices and talents just amaze me and I also aspire to be just like her! She's
    amazing!! <3

That's what made me interested in Voice acting! 8D

Being interested in voice acting was admittedly, sort of an accident.

For the heck of it, I made up random subtitles (just for fun, writing in my own sentences, hehe) for Cardcaptors: The Movie, and my brother suggested "Hey, why don't we voice this?" and we did. We continued doing these, what I call "partial parody dubs" (we do keep in some seriousness) and did multiple voices, which really improved our range. Plus, seeing many great anime dubs, it seems like vocie actors really have fun with what they do, and it is fun! We still do these random personal dubs, but now we're getting more seriouswith it and starting our own original projects, as well as joining others. My brother has become more of the behind-the-scenes guy, and enjoys it, too! Because of this, he knows how to properly apply audio to match the flaps, and how to sound edit! No instruction, he just learned as he went along. I have learned, because of "dubbing" how to match flaps correctly (whether it's a new line I made up, added, or was originally there in the first place) sometimes where I don't even watch the animation, it just sort of clicks (but most of the time, if it's a LONG line, I will say it while watching the flap), and I have learned how to deliver all kinds of emotion, and found out "Whoa, I never knew I could make that many voices...."
