So I got into small sessions with my choir teacher once a week, for about ten to twenty minutes at a time.
I don't think that'll be a lot if I wanna learn to sing soon.
I'm looking to learn how to hit pitches on ear right now.
I'm thinking about getting an online program with a piano and doing the pitches myself as well while I am at home.

Only question is, How long does an average session take with a private vocal teacher?
I might practice pitches for 45 minutes each day, as I'm very eager to learn.
Would that be a good time or could more be done too?

Private lessons generally start at 30 mins or so, once a week. If you're looking to practice at home, getting a cheap keyboard would be a good way to practice pitches. But you're going to want to do more to strengthen your voice and range. I would suggest asking your choir instructor to teach you some basic scales or warm ups that you can run through, and then find some easy songs you can practice on your own. If you can record yourself and listen to what you sound like, you also might be able to hear what you sound like and work on improving your sound by playing around on your own.

Hope that can help at least a bit!

When I was taking voice lessons, they were an hour long once a week. My teacher told me to practice twice as long as my lessons were everyday on my own. So for me it was 2 hours a day of singing. He gave me several song books with specific things to work on, some songs worked range, some worked jumping different interavals. Ask your teacher and she will set you straight.

    Alright thank you everyone!

I think an hour of practice everyday is just right. XD
