Coraline: An Audio Drama based on the book by Neil Gaiman

Coraline is the story of a girl who finds a small door in her living room that leads to another reality much like her own. Her "other mother" and "other father" are much more interesting than her normal boring parents, as are the tenants who inhabit the old house, now converted into a series of flats. At first, the only strange thing about the "other world" is that everyone has buttons instead of eyes. But as Coraline begins to explore her fantastic new world she discovers that the buttons are the least of her problems and that her "Other mother" is not as nice as she first seems.

I didn't want to close this out without saying an enormous thanks to my marvelous cast - you all were fantastic to work with. Amanda, or MissAck, in particular - you were awesome in getting me retakes and playing the character like I needed you too. But for a first cast and I'm really glad to have had you all on board with this project as you were great to work with and made this first "experiment" a blast. Thank you all you are awesome!!!!

    Yay!

    I love your music.

Tara, I love that I didn't notice you were Spink & Coraline until I looked at the cast list. I totally pay attention. XD So, clearly, great job! XD

MissAck sounded a bit like she was reading in a few lines. But the rest of the time I liked her reads. I like her voice.

I like Damascus's voice too. I think his lines were a little quiet. MissAck's were too, come to think of it. Ah well, I could hear them well enough.

Animated93 seriously rocks. XD (Why did his sound quality suddenly go crazy on that one line? (I'm sure you know what I'm talking about))

I can't hear Dylan without thinking I'm listening to Sing It or Act It. =head desk= But I think I like his attitude for the Cat.

I also very much like Tylec's dog in the audience. XD

Hahaha, our shrieks on the fight make me giggle.

    I think that is all.

The volume on some of the lines seemed inconsistent, and there were a few that sounded like they were recorded on a bad mic or something (the father/other father sounded like he was talking over a telephone to me). Other than that though, the music was lovely and the composition was well done!

I can't wait for Act 2! (Not just because I'm in that one ^^; )

Yeah... Audacity was freaking out with the line and wouldn't play it correctly, so I had to try and rerecord it. The quality wasn't the best I'm afraid... :/

Wow, Tara, I was really surprised that you played Coraline and Miss Spink. They're so much different from your normal voice I usually hear =0 This was really nice and well put together =] The cast was awesome! Keep up the good work!

I liked it. I'm not much for critiquing, but I really did like it.
    P.S. Coraline sounded really cute.

Dylan as a cat lol. I don't know why that's funny. I'm weird that way XD

Now onto the critique )sort of). You guys all did a great job! Tara, you did a great job contrasting the voices of the two characters. It sounded like two completely voices. And Tregatry, your Miss Forceable voice was very enjoyable. All of you did a great job!

The story is very interesting, I can't wait until act 2. The mixing was great, and the original music is amazing.

The only thing I noticed was some of the VAers lines sounded a bit lower than others. I think Mr. B's lines were one of them, and Father/Other Father.

I'm gonna keep my eye on this, I' can't wait to see what happens next!
