I’m extending the deadline for auditions for Mitsuru to the 5th of April!
Basically, I saw this movie and really liked it! I wanted to see it dubbed as soon as I saw it and originally planned to dub the entire movie but when I thought about it a bit more I decided that would be a bit too much for me to handle. So, instead, I decided to just choose my favorite scene and dub that.
The seen I chose is from near the end of the movie so if you haven’t, you may want to watch the movie before you watch the preview scene.
Sorry it’s in parts. The scene we will be dubbing starts at 8:18 on the first video and ends at 5:00 on the second:

Record in format: 44100hz 16-bit Stereo MP3 (WMV is also acceptable)
Save your lines as "Character_YourName_Line#.mp3”

Characters:
(Both male roles have a lot of emotion! They will both be very challenging. Aya is fairly simple.)
Wataru
Wataru is an 11 year old boy who’s father leaves home shortly before his mother falls ill and is rushed to the hospital. In desperation he followed his new friend, Mitsuru, into a magical world called Vision where he believes he can change his life for the better.
Age: 11
Voice: Medium-high, child-like, prepubescent (could probably be voiced by a girl) Please see example clip above.
This role is very difficult and very emotional! In one part of the seen the character is talking with his ‘doppelganger’ who will be voiced by a same voice actor. In another, his friend is dieing and he must sound emotional.
Audition lines:
1: You don’t care about Vision at all! (As doppelganger)
2: All of my anger and hatred… Spite and sadness… Even my immaturity… They’re all a part of me.
3: There’s no way this is over yet! I’m goanna take you home!

Mitsuru
Mitsuru is a 12 year old boy with a tragic past. After his father killed himself, his mother and his little sister Aya, he was all alone. He discovered a magical land called Vision in which he learned of a goddess who would grant one wish to whoever could find 5 magic gems. He completely devotes himself to finding these gems and bringing back his sister no matter what the cost.
Age: About 12
Voice: Medium, more mature then Wataru but still young. Please see example clip above.
This role will be difficult! The character dies in this seen and must sound as such.
Audition lines:
1: Why exactly did you come here!?
2: A softie to the end… *grunt* A hopeless softie.
3: Is that you Aya? Now we’re… together.
Aya
Mitsurs’s younger sister. In this seen she is shown in his memories before she was killed.
Age: About 3-4
Voice: High, young, cute
A rather simple role with few lines.
Audition lines:
1: Brother, this is for you.
2: *sing happy birthday to Mitsuru*
